My car was broken into and I spent the morning looking for a shop that had my glass in stock. Hunt’s Point was only one. Jim was wonderful! He said to come right on over and had my car finished in less than an hour! All broken glass was cleaned from car (not a speck left) and they were very courteous and professional. Highly recommend! Thank you Jim :)

I must say these guys do a great job convincing people to trust them… HOWEVER if I were you I wouldn’t believe anything they say! I went because I saw good reviews to get my radio fixed when I went they told me it was the screen they charged me 70 $ plus they weren’t sure if it really was the problem so they were going to charge me 40 $ plus shipping to send it out elsewhere to find out whether that piece was really malfunctioning. And if it was the problem they were going to charge me 700 $ Who does that!!! I decided to not get my problem fixed with them and they kept giving me excuses to put back my screen in my car… If you’re going to do a job finish it!!! At the end I had to go somewhere else and let me say I got a cheaper price! For 300 $ And my screen was never the problem. Don’t believe these LIARS!!!

The shop did an excellent job. The guys went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend the shop for the reasonable prices and quality service. No complaints and I will definitely be coming back for routine service.

I needed a new windshield for my 2013 Toyota RAV4. I called several places and found these guys. Total job including the ordering of the glass took an hour and a half. They gave me a great price. There is a waiting area with a tv so you can wait while your car is being worked on. The owner was very nice and helpful. Excellent service and I would go back again.

Professional and friendly, Jimmy and the team went above and beyond, even to the length of taking me to and from the subway because I forgot some paperwork.
They also did an excellent job on my car and took great care of us. They’ll be doing all the work on my car from here on out.

I was flagged down by one of those scouts who hang out nearby, after suggested by a scrap yard around the corner. If you like the hunts point styke they are local color, if you don’t they are nuisance. But Dino the friendly owner of the auto glass part of the business, was friendly and helpful, made me comfortable in the waiting room, and got. things started quickly. Not a great bargain, but fair price, and he runs a solid business on the books, and speaks English (unusual in New York)

Hunts Point Auto saved me once again, and went the extra mile too! I work in the area, and on the way in my window wouldn’t go back up, called and dropped it off right away. By mid day they had it checked out and already being worked on. I asked for an after market part if possible, they located one. They also looked at parts yards around the area to find a used ‘gear’ that was broken. Saved me from having to get a replacement window regulator motor! Quick oil, filter, lube as well since I was due…

After reviewing various options, I decided to head here to get my car checked. I needed a complete front & rest struct shock assembly. At the time, based on the cheap brand I asked for, the mechanic asked for $ 500 total for a cheap assembly, including labor cost. After completely dissembling the car, he starts exclaiming that a lot more is wrong than initially realized and starts asking for $ 850, and continually ups the price to $ 1000. At one point he started complaining that he didn’t even have the parts there and was extremely rude throughout. I decided I no longer wanted to be serviced there, and asked to have my car reassembled with no servicing, agreeing to pay whatever labor charge he requested. He refused this and also refused to give back my OWN car. He finally serviced the car after a lot of argument and rude, needlessly aggressive behavior, and charged over $ 900.

I came here for some auto body work on my Venza. He quoted me $ 500, telling me I needed a new bumper and blah blah blah.
As I was waiting, I checked Unilocal and the only review pretty much said, «run for your life. «I did and quickly. I ended up getting the job done excellently for $ 200. These guys tried to pull a fast one. Stay Away!

After reviewing repairpal, I realized that there were some shops listed on the site. I observed the shops upon seeing the quotes and went to get my manifold gaskets changed. As such, i encountered Hunts Point Service Station, Inc., a place I had drove past on numerous occasions.
As I entered the lot I observed a couple of mechanics getting ready to close shop. I told him what I was there for and the below start:
The mechanic/​salesman indicated that How the job would be a big job and would costs a lot for that vehicle, he had to deal with rust issues on the vehicle, etc. At this point I advised him that I got a quote from repairpal and came there to get the repairs done seeking a reputable company. He stated that those prices would not be inline with his prices since he might have to extract some bolts from the manifold. We went to an in shop computer where he ran the program for the mechanic repair time period for the certain repair. The system indicated that the job would be 1.3 hrs per side. He said he would just make it 4 hours since the bolt extraction would be necessary.
Upon completion, the mechanic advised me that the car needed an oil change and some oil since it was 2 quarts short. I was reluctant to allow any oil change be done there because he seemed more in salesman upsell mode.
I realized that the mechanic only changed 1 manifold gasket ($ 25.17), failing to repair the passenger side. I further observed that he used old bolts in the exhaust manifold repair job.
I was contacted by a female salesperson a day later and i discussed my dissatisfaction with the repair service. I also discussed my reluctancy to return to the auto shop since I did not want to be seen as a needy type person looking for something free. I honestly just wanted my car fixed by an honest, fair and reliable company.
Office wise some of the people were great conversation and all. However, since this is business and not personal, it must be judge as such. It must be understood that customers are spending their money so the service and satisfaction must be up to standards. After the service, i did happen to see the company Unilocal reviews showing similar disatisfactions.
The price for the repairs exceeded the costs estimated by
excessively totaling to 353.48 labor and $ 35.87 parts (1 gasket used).(Wonder what happened to at other new gasket, still have to buy another one for that repair now!)
REPAIRS: 2002 DODGE RAM 1500, SLT, 4X4, 4.7 liter.
Repairpal quote for both manifold gaskets was $ 188 to $ 248. parts being $ 17 – 35 bucks (2 gaskets).
Upsell for 2qts Oil $ 5.35 quart
Total Costs of $ 423.90

Needed a new alternator, driver side door lock actuator and passenger side mirror needed to be tweaked. On the first day I gave them the list of things that needed to be checked/​done asked them to do a computer diagnostic to verify that it was indeed the alternator. I was right and the alternator needed to be replaced total cost for replacement and labor $ 476. I arrived around 2pm they mistakenly ordered the wrong alternator so had to wait for the right one to come in. Alternator was done by 5 since that was when they closed the alternator was the only thing they had time to check between the hours of 2 – 5. Went to the red light and ended up driving around the block and right back, the «new» alternator was not working, as soon as I turned on my headlamps and AC the battery indicator dropped down to low. They checked the voltage and said they must have received a defect alternator and asked me to come back the next day. The next day I arrived at 11am asked them to check the door before once again replacing the alternator it took over an hour before they came back with an estimate of $ 190 for the door lock actuator and another 1 ½ to 2 hrs before they replaced it. Going on 2:30 and still waiting for the alternator to be replaced needless to say the recommendation this place received was ill received and I will not be going back there again. If anyone knows of a good professional mechanic in the south Bronx please let me know.
