S & W Supermarket

Live right around the corner and go here EVERYDAY for one thing or another. They are always well stocked and the deli is always on point with the orders.

This place has saved me the headache so many times in driving an even longer distance just to get some basic things i need. What makes this place great is the fact that they know who you are. That seems like a lost trait in so many businesses. But the second you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a glare in the eyes. That glare you ask? Is recognition. :)
It passes after the 3^rd step inside. So don’t worry they won’t continue the stare after you’re on aisle 3. That would be just awkward then!
The only reasons why it wouldnt be ⁵⁄₅ is simple. Parking is hit or miss and prices being a bit higher than normal for the area.

Best little mini mart in the neighborhood. They have a little bit of everything. Deli counter is excellent, big selection of cookies. Shelves are always stocked. Very clean.

Not a bad supermarket when you need emergency items. This was the fourth time I go and see an advertisement in the window and was told either that was for last week or it’s another item on sale. Not good! So glad the new Target opened on Buhre Ave.

You can always depend on S and W for fresh deli products. The guys here are super friendly and helpful. They also have a great, fresh selection of all the larger supermarket staples, but it comes with a price because of their convenient location.
For better prices drive over to the larger chain supermarkets, but if you need anything quick fast and within walking distance go to S and W.

Great place for all the lil things you need. Great deli and their slices of all the different types of cakes are all delicious!

Really good, fresh salad bar at the deli counter.

Not a bad little grocery store. Pretty much a fully stocked supermarket, if only a slight bit smaller than a FineFare or FoodTown.
Great deli counter with some awesome sandwiches and pretty decent premade stuff as well. Also, the produce here is surprisingly decent. Not a huge selection, but it all seems very fresh every time I go in.
Only downside to this place is parking… There is no lot, and never any open street spots anywhere close by. Your only option is to really p*$$ me off and double park. Ugh.

Great sandwiches!!! They have a little bit of everything. Great place to get what you need for a snow day!

small little supermarket, with a kick, why did I say that, the frist time i went in here, i noticed their Deli, so i went up to it and order a ham and cheese hero. I was thinking i was going to get, a subway type of hero.
I was so wrong, IT WAS HUGE!
it was one healthy sandwich.

S&W was renovated some years ago and it really cleaned up its reputation as the neighborhood supermarket.
The Good:
In a pinch, you can get everything there. It’s a small supermarket, but it stocks a variety of food items, has a great deli counter and they just recently incorporated a small meat and chicken section, along with herbs, fresh fruit and vegetables. It’s a great go-​to when you need something in a hurry.
In addition, the supermarket is super bright and clean. There’s someone always mopping, cleaning, watering, dusting and restocking shelves. That’s always a good thing.
The Bad:
Because it’s a small neighborhood supermarket, the prices are not cheap. You pay for the convenience. The few sales that they do have, are quite insignificant and don’t really add up to any true savings, so there’s the trade-​off.
The deli counter makes great subs and sandwiches (they have Boar’s Head). In a nutshell, do your daily grocery shopping at a more established supermarket, but for the odds and ends that you need in a quick, definitely go here.
