This is a great spot in the neighborhood, I’m glad I finally made my way to it! I want to congratulate Cindy(the hostess)! She was excellent! Very cordial and overall great attitude! I’m writing this review just because of how good I felt of how she treated all of us(we were a group of 6 girls). I do have some advice regarding the service at the table. Although our waiter Michael was good and had a great attitude and recommendations the delivery of drinks was slow. It could have been due to the fact the the place was pretty crowded and the bar might have been backed up. Regardless I feel like bars should make it a point to try to deliver drinks quick because when it comes down to it that’s where the money is. Also, I was there to enjoy the singer Covi Quintana and it happened to overlap with an important basketball game that was in the Bar TV. In my opinion it was completely rude of the establishment to take away attention from the singer by having the tvs on during her show. They should have booked her for a different day if they wanted to take advantage of both crowds. Overall I will come back to try more of the food since we only had a «picadera» which was decent.

Good place to go for a few drinks and to listen to nice music, they have also live music sometimes, that’s another plus. I don’t rate higher because, on a Friday night i asked for three things they did not have, two of them i understand(my favorite Whisky Glenlivet and expresso coffee) but the third i couldn’t bottle water. I hope that whoever is in charge of resupplying this place does a better job. I will love for this place to succeed.

I went last night with a few friends, it’s a really cute place in the neighborhood with yummy sangria we shared a variety of appetizers my only complaint was the waiter could’ve notified us when Happy Hour was over as the drinks increased from $ 5 to $ 8, otherwise it was a good time

Good place! They did a good job with the décor. But the food was average in conjunction with the prices. We had the Sangria and a Mojito, the sangria was a bit watered down but the mojito was nice and strong. I enjoyed my experience there overall, it’s a nice in environment, in the middle of the Bronx.

Service was superb! Shout out to Roma. best hostess! Vibe was upbeat, décor was modern mixed with tropical and traditional! For a moment we forgot we were on Bailey Avenue and not in my abuela’s galleria!

I live in the neighborhood and I must say it’s hit or miss. The service is mediocre, the food isn’t always fresh and it’s overpriced. It seems like customers at the bar receive way to much attention, although the drinks are good for the most part. I was really excited when this place opened and was quickly dissapointed because it was mostly hype. Hopefully the service and the food get better with time.

Had a great time here for a girls night ! On entry the place was packed, but the hostess was friendly and assured us that seating would be arranged promptly. Once seated we ordered a pitcher of the passion fruit mojito and boy was it tasty! There was a live jazz, salsa band which created a perfect setting for 3 girls that just wanted to unwind. Will be back next time to check out food options.

Food was not bad. I had wings and shrimp alfredo. My fiancé enjoyed the food as well but complained that the chicken was too small. If it’s going to be that little they should give more than 8. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would probably go back again.

Tilila is a true gem. Located off the beaten path on Bailey Avenue, it offers a unique and genuine Latin American experience. The restaurant’s décor is one-of-a-kind and leaves a lasting impression. The walls are lined with trinkets of all kinds, like bird houses and antiques you’d find in your grandmother’s home. The food is well-imagined, and it is always served fresh and full of flavor. Paired with the Caribbean feel of the restaurant, it serves as a temporary escape to a warmer place. There is no shortage of friendly faces amongst the staff here. From the hostess to the servers and bartenders, Tilila makes sure its customers are well taken care of from start to finish.

It’s about time Bailey Avenue has a beautiful and tasteful place to go to. Elegantly designed and decorated it creates an ambiance that takes you away. Drinks are great and the food was good. I never went to any of the previous bars at this location but this one is excellent. Very much like Tin Marin which is a favorite of mine.

I went a few weeks ago on a date-ish thingy. I had the Chicharones and Tostones appetizer and a draft beer. It’s nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. The food was tasty and the beer selection is great. The service was good and friendly. I would go back to try more on the menu.

I really enjoy coming here. The food does not disappoint. The food is fresh and always consistent. I love ordering something and every time I return it tastes the same way. They are always on Point. This is definitely my restaurant of choice when I’m home visiting my family. The décor is great too! I feel like I’m in Latin America. Extremely quaint. The service, let’s just say… always service with a smile and very helpful in choosing the right wine with your meal. All and all I give a thumbs up and an A+ Note to folks from Riverdale, Washington Heights and Westchester venture out and check it out. You will thank me.

I heard a few good things about Tilila so my wife and I decided to give it a try. Not impressed! It all began going downhill after we placed our drink order. We noticed that our waiter was more interested in pleasing his friends who visit the establishment rather that give all his tables equal attention. Something as simple as a glass of water(which I had to request twice) didn’t happen. Once we received our food(and water), we never saw our waiter again. We tried getting the attention of the other waitress but she ignored us. The food was mediocre. It tasted as if it was placed in a warmer for a few minutes as some parts were warm and some were cold. I got so fed up with the service that I went to the waiter, interrupted his conversation with his friend and requested my check. He took about another 10 minutes to get it to me. Interestingly, once the owner of the establishment walked in — everyone was on their«A» game. So much so, that we noticed our waiter folding napkins; but they were the napkins of his friend. More than likely, I will not be giving Tilila my business again.

An amazing addition to a restaurant lacking community. The wonderful aquamarine façade and the beautifully detailed walls along with an open, inviting and friendly atmosphere make for a great meal already. From the pork and rock shrimp fried yuca balls to the riki taki Dominican style slider burgers, the flavors and textures are great! Not to mention the amazing sauces that come along with most dishes or appetizers like the«malanga chips». Definitely worth the visit or trip.

Was there today with my husband for happy hour, had the sangria and it was SUPER good. Had a chimichuri, my husband had a sandwich and we had the batata fries. Food was good and and well presented. The sauce for the chimichuri was excellent. The setting, music was good. Bar tender was very friendly and professional Will definitely will come back
