Never order for delivery from this place on a Friday or Saturday because you’ll be waiting for your food for 2 hours and that is not an exaggeration. While the food is good, the delivery service is really lacking and they have no other excuse except that they had a lot of deliveries to make. I’m very disappointed and most likely won’t be ordering for delivery from this place any time soon. Also to note, I’m pregnant and was coming from a long day of work. No one should ever have to wait 2 hours for delivered food and when it did get here, the fries were cold and soggy and the bag filled with sauce from the Thai wings.

first time I ordered was good, roti was on point and fresh, second time I ordered food was fresh and on point, Third time I ordered something was off, the misses got food poisoned, I got food poisoned, spent one night in the hospital. Never again, keep that up and lawsuits will be coming at you left and right.

I’ve tried sooooooooooo many different foods dishes from Abegales & I love them ALL ! GREAT GREAT GREAT Food ! Great service … The actual restaurant is so nice compared to restaurants in the area. & (Sometimes you can actual meet the chef/​owner herself) — Everytime I go inside I always get a great welcoming feeling. They also deliver, always on time ! I just found out they catered, so i’ll be hiring them for 2 events I have coming up. Want some really good, home cooked West Indian /​American food? GO TO ABEGALES & TRY EVERYTHING !

The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely horrible. I have had two negative experiences and ordered for a third time because there arent many delivery options in my area but i will never order from here again. On two occassions items were missing from my order. The first time, i was not notified and after contacting them was told i would receive a refund. I only received the refund after complaining to seamless. The secomd time, they didn’t even have the decency to let me know that they didnt have chicken (what restaurant doesn’t have chicken?!). Instead after waiting over an hour seamless notified me and asked if i wanted a refund. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable!

Had lunch here today and I was so impressed! The bbq chicken was amazing, Mac & cheese delicious, spinach and string beans were perfect. As if the delicious food wasn’t enough, the staff was extremely friendly and I even recognized Abegale from Dr Oz!

Only reason its not getting 5 stars because even early in the day. They run out of food and cakes. Or so they say. The food is great. I recommend the boneless roti.

I truly love this place but EVERY SINGLE TIME I ORDER, they will call me 20 – 30 minutes later just to tell me they’ve run out of something. It is truly annoying. Its truly ridiculous.

What can I say? The food here is absolutely amazing! I always make it a point to get over here at least twice a week. If you’re looking for real authentic Caribbean food that is reasonably priced this is definitely the place. And the customer service is on point as well! I love it here!

My first time here. Ordered 3 curry chicken. One buss up shut two regular Roti. You committed the cardinal sin of Roti serving. Using reheated Roti. This is a big no no for me. I will not be back or recommend this place.

I think the food here is great. Whenever I’m in the mood for West Indian food, they’re normally my first pick. I normally order either stew chicken or oxtail with rice and peas and callaloo. Delivery service is also great and I always make sure to tip the delivery guy because I live in a 4^th floor walk up and he makes NO quarrels whatsoever about coming up the stairs. He is very friendly and nice. I LOVE their spinach as well! I will definitely be ordering again and they will continue to be my first pick.

Food is yummy, delivery guy is so friendly and genuinely nice. My coworkers and I would order from there a lot. The spinach is DELISH although a bit salty. All in all a great place to eat.

Let me start this review by saying that the food is pretty good. By itself, it’s around 3.5 stars. What makes this restaurant absolutely horrible is the customer service. I read the reviews about the restaurant calling and saying that they don’t have something, but I had no idea it would be such a common occurrence. I’ve ordered from this place numerous times. EVERY SINGLE TIME, they called me and said they didn’t have something. Tonight took the cake. Usually they call and say they don’t have sides, but tonight they called and said they didn’t have a main course or a side. They didn’t have roti or potato salad. Here’s where it got ridiculous. When the woman called me, she said I could only choose something of the same value from off the menu. Only two other things were the same price, both of which I didn’t want. I decided to just cancel the two items. She had the nerve to tell me that because I cancelled the two items, they can’t deliver because it didn’t meet the delivery requirement. I had to cancel the whole order. This makes no sense. If she would’ve worked with me, it could’ve been handled. She wasn’t willing to spare a few dollars so that I could reach the delivery requirement because THEY didn’t have the items on their menu. To top it all off, the lady had a snarky attitude as if I did something wrong for being frustrated that once again, they didn’t have something. I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for a while, but I will no longer give this place my money. I’m disgusted at the horrible way I was treated tonight.

NOPE. Giving Abegale’s the benefit of the doubt, it was a Saturday night, and I know that it takes about an hour and a half to deliver. Ordered an entrée, which included two sides (we got Mac n cheese and greens). Got a call an hour in to say they were out of the mac n cheese. Kindly took fries instead. Two and a half hours after we ordered, they deliver. No greens.
You can’t keep customers waiting almost double the time given for delivery, and then forget the food.

What a delightful Trini authentic establishment!
Abegale truly deserves her success, I was very pleased with my tasty boneless chicken roti.

What a disappointment… Idk how or why they can possibly have 12 reviews all with five stars after what i just had from tasted from that place. The food literally tastes like store bought frozen foods that you just have to warm up in an oven for a couple of minutes… This is a poor rip off of Island Burger… I had the disappointing shark burger that still had the bone in with dole pineapples scattered on top… The bun was soggy & the piece of shark was just thin and didn’t even taste like the real thing… the best thing was the fries honestly. I also had the lemon pepper wings with were just unseasoned fried chicken with some watery lemon sauce tossed across the wings… never again with this place

was looking forward to my meal since 7:30 they never came so i called at 9:00 and they told me the car for deliveries broke down i wish they could have told me this before waiting and hour and a half for my food. very disappointed. I’m sure the food would have been good.

I was really looking forward to tasting their jerk chicken but I received a phone call less than 5 minutes after placing my online delivery that they were sold out of it… the lady on the other end was super accommodating in assisting me in another choice. I had the bbq chicken, mac n cheese with rice and peas… along with a curry goat dinner with spinach rice (absolutely superb) and plantains. The food was DELICIOUS… I will definitely order from this establishment again… oh yea, the delivery guy was nice as well.
*********2^nd time around and I can say the that they have done it again… the jerk chicken was well worth the wait!!!

I’ve ordered from here twice and I had to review it immediately. I never review on seamless due to just not being wow’d enough. Abegale’s food is amazing. I ordered the BBQ chicken, mac and cheese and greens. I’ve ordered it both times and I’m afraid to order something different simply because I’ll feel I’m missing out on the bbq chicken lol! It’s chargrilled to perfection mac is just cheesy enough and the greens are fresh!
I’m from the South and have lived in Crown Heights for almost two years. I’m glad to finally have a place to order from whenever my stomach is homesick.

This restaurant has delicious Caribbean food, more specifically, Trinidadian. The staff is warm and friendly which compliments the homely décor. I had the chicken roti which was a large and filling serving. Might not be the best place for a date but I’d definitely recommend takeout.

First time trying this restaurant, and I just love the food, I ordered the grilled chicken salad it’s amazing. Coming back for more
