In addition to a horrendously long wait time, the experience with Dr. Zinberg was (after several months of going there) far from helpful. His bedside manner is amazing sure, but his solutions all prove to be ineffective and some of his prescriptions and the length he expects you to take them can also be detrimental to your health. I recommend finding a different derm that won’t have a long waiting time and will get you the help you need.

When I got there the waiting room was packed. The staff at the desk told me «The wait is usually at least 40 minutes.» I asked and they clarified that they meant 40 minutes from the time of my appointment, not the time I had arrived. I had to go to work in Queens, an hour commute, after my appointment. I’m a full time student. I have a kid. I have a job. I don’t have a ton of money, I don’t have a ton of time. I can’t afford to miss work and I certainly can’t afford to miss work waiting in an office full of grumpy patients who look like they’ve been sitting there for well over «at least 40 minutes.» I told them to cancel my appointment and left. I won’t be back.

Dr. Zinberg is one of the nicest and competent doctors I’ve ever met. I am getting ready to go to my second appointment. I hope we come up with a permanent solution. I trust him and that’s the biggest step.

I’ve seen Dr. Zinberg approximately a dozen times this year to have moles removed. Every time I visited him his bedside manners were pleasant and he worked quickly to remove the mole. I was basically in and out of office anywhere from 10 – 30 minutes. Now, just a warning… if you make an appointment for lets say, 5pm, call ahead and ask for the actual time he is expected to see you. It’s usually 45 – 60 minutes after your actual appointment. Otherwise, you’ll sit in the waiting area (approximately two dozen chairs) for upwards of an hour before you see him. Otherwise, his work is flawless (ie. no scars, no infections, etc etc). I’m very pleased with the work performed thus far.
