I’ve only had a lemon-lime bar from here so I can’t claim to be an expert. That said, it’s a clean spot with a wide selection. The lemon-lime bar I had tasted fresh and wasn’t too sweet, which is often a problem with such citrus bars. I don’t expect to be back in the area any time soon but if I am and my sweet tooth is tingling, I’ll know where to go. Not cheap but you can tell you’re paying for quality.

The treats were pretty tasty! I had a cinnamon roll. However I wish the pumpkin whoopie pie was in stock. I will be back, because there are lots of tasty treats I would like to try. The place is small and cozy, and the staff was pretty friendly.

YUMYUMYUMYUMYUM. BAKEDISYUM. The décor is very cute and homey, the treats were GREAT, the location is solid. We tried the homemade Twix, which had this amazing buttery cookie layer, the white chocolate oatmeal cookie, and a whoppie pie. Maybe the best whoppie I’ve had outside of New England. I am very happy this place is not right around the corner from me bc I would be there ALLTHETIME.

This is another reason I often dream to move to Red Hook! But«luckily» i won’t, otherwise I will get so much weight. Baked is amazing. It’s an obligatory stop it you are in the hood. Coffee is really good, and their baked goods are to die for. All of them. I tried many and my favorites are the rice crispy treats, the coconut macaroons, and the cookies, all kind of cookies. But I mean. Everything is delicious. You will never get wrong.

Absolutely love the atmosphere in this wooden, coffee shop. Tables and beches were wooden from top to bottom, having a local/casual, yet clean look. They have a wide selection of baked goods, coffees, and hot chocolates. Having saw an article’s recommendation on their brownies, my friend came here specifically for their brownies. Surprisingly, when we arrived they offer little corner pieces – and for a cheaper price. Win! Crispy edges of baked goods are always the best parts. Wanted to take a seat and enjoy our sweet treat, but literally every seat in the little shop was taken. Filled with families, babies, and couples, I guess you need to come earlier to snag a spot on Saturday mornings.

Warm and cozy and chock full of deliciousness. There’s more to Red Hook than IKEA, peeps, and Baked should be tops on your list. The bakery cases offer copious temptations in the form of cupcakes, brownies, cookies(brookies, too) and much much more. I went with the donut option that proved to be an oh-so-solid choice. So much rich and gooey goodness for a mere $ 2. Baked is the kind of joint that encourages you to linger, too. Ample roomy booths where you can spread out for a while and get some work done– though you’ll probably be too distracted by the glimpse into the kitchen in the back where all the magic happens. Not to mention real live plates and forks you’re given to enjoy your treats in a leisurely fashion.

We picked up a brownie and a whoopie pie to go. The brownie was very fudgey and salty. It was the opposite of the typical brownie which is rich and airy. The exterior cake of the whoopie pie was bland, but I felt the whoopie was designed to showcase the cream filling. The filling was very sweet and creamy.

Three word review: NOMNOMNOM. When the film crew I’m on is shooting at scuzzy warehouse at edge of the world Red Hook, I nab a cortado and a couple sweets on my way to set. They have everything from traditional brownies and cupcakes to crazy whoopie pie hybrids and other unique deliciousness. Not sure why they serve Stumptown — a unique local bakery like this deserves equally unique coffee & espresso from a local roaster. That and the midtown Manhattan prices are my only gripes, but neither are enough to keep me from visiting whenever I’m around. Props to you, Baked!

Saw their sweet and salty brownie featured on TV a while ago and decided to check it out. My friend and I thought the interior was very cozy, a very pleasant café. The guy working the register was friendly. I bought two brownies(sweet and salty plus deep dark). I was SUPEREXCITED because they sold a whole separate section of corner pieces(all flavors available), and I love corner pieces. The corner pieces were even cheaper than the regular ones(albeit slightly smaller). The brownies were good; the only thing that would have made them better for me is if they contained nuts, which is a personal preference.

yay i’m a fan. yay my friend is a fan too! after some much needed cheering up i took my friend to this wonderful establishment. i’ve been to this location twice and ordered a 10inch custom red velvet cake at their tribeca location(btw it was the star of the party). this place makes one of the best cakes i’ve ever had. it’s not too heavy and has just the right amount of cream within the cakes. this time my friend wanted to try their bars — we got the twix, lemon lime and peanut butter. the lemon lime bar was my favorite — it had just the right amount of tartness and sweetness to it. my friend thoroughly enjoyed the twix bar. the peanut butter bar was a bit too heavy for us

Baked looks great on paper but I’ve been here several times and nothing has really stood out to me. I’ve tried the chocolate pecan pie bar, peanut butter crispy bar, the raspberry lemonade and classic birthday cakes, red velvet cupcake and banana whoopie pie. I found the bars overly dense and sweet, while the cakes are too light and airy and have no bite or flavor to them. I think the whoopie pie was pretty good but nothing I’d go to Red Hook specifically for. I want to like this place but I guess it’s just not my type of bakery.

Wonderland of good bakes! It is not perfect, but I have a feeling that with time they will become the best. I should never visit places like this, I just want more and more from everything, but I did, and I am here to tell: Sweet and salty Brownies — out of this world. You know what, everything here is delicious. Not over sweet and staffed with sugar, just the right balance between sweet and delicious. Taste good, good coffee, reasonable prices. Unfortunately for my diet, they will see me again…

Ambiance/décor-4 stars Service-4 stars Food-4 stars Strikeouts-0/3 Straight to this little gem after red hook lobster for some dessert. Grabbed a coffee crisp bar, salted caramel twix bars, and a chocolate banana cake. Everything wasn’t what I expected it to be. The coffee crisp bar didn’t have the coffee taste I was looking for, but definitely made up for feeling like a soft rice crispy chocolate bar. The salted caramel twix didn’t have the heavy caramel stickiness to it, but seemed to have a very unique cookie base which I was impressed. The chocolate banana cake felt very light opposed to being heavy as I expected it to be like most banana cakes. It was refreshing, but too many sweets at once. Definitely order only one and drink and you’re good to go! Only sad part was that they should have changed the names of their desserts better to better represent the actual flavour. Worth a stop by!

Ok Baked, we finally meet. Over the past five years people have wrote news articles, their cook books are being published and Unilocalers continually sing its praises so it seems like I need to do a pop in. Very very Brooklyn joint. Oh and Spike Lee? You can suck my nads. This is Red Hook son! To see a Fairway on the waterfront no less makes me wanna laugh. Damn hipsters, power to the people! Take over this neighborhood please. Its historic and went to hell when I was a kid. To see young families pushing baby strollers around and shopping at places like Baked warms my heart. We walk in and see their cook books proudly on display. Wooden floors and tables, its rustic looking but inviting nevertheless. Its more of a hipsters coffee powerhouse than a bakery. Actually, behind the counters is where I see a professional looking bakery. We ordered a few items: Grasshopper Bar — Chocolate brownie with what tasted like thick cream in the middle. It had a green tint and a single mint M&M. Not minty or very grasshopper-y. Salted Caramel Nut Bar — Star of the show today. It was oohy, goohy and a perfect decadent dessert. We bought two unforgettable cookies. So Baked, I like ya, The Best I Ever Ate? See for yourself, only 4 stars from me today.

Having read their cookbook and purchased their products elsewhere(including their much newer Tribeca outpost), I figured it was time to check out their OG location, which you enter by grasping animal remains as if it weren’t a bakery. Service was friendly but sadly they didn’t have much that the Tribeca one didn’t, and even lacked some things they did, so just copped out with each of their marshmallows, all of which were forgettable. Marshmallow(Vanilla Ind.) $ 0.75 Marshmallow(Chocolate Ind.) $ 0.75 Marshmallow(Seasonal Ind.) $ 0.75 Total $ 2.25 Apparently you«earn 10 stars for 10% off», but none were indicated on Square receipt.

Probably the go to bakery in red hook as they make great cupcakes and cookies. Go for their caramel or red velvet cupcakes. Super moist and a buttery creamy icing. Eat them on premise though as they don’t hold up outside and especially in the heat. You’ll find your icing running off the cake. A great double chocolate chip cookie as well. A bit on the more crunchy side since i do prefer my cookies moist. Great place for a snack.

Baked has been open for a few years now and it is one of the main focal points of the neighborhood. The setup is nice and welcoming and the displays are wonderful. I actually have been twice, the first time I thought it was just OK, the second time I thought a lot of the items were great. So a friend and I came on the second trip and we ordered like we were on death row lol Also, the place was featured on the Cooking Channel Show Unique Sweets. The food: Campfire– graham cookie, chocolate & marshmallow. I really enjoyed this cookie. It had a nice chew and it was nice and moist. It was a thicker cookie than normal but that added to the chew. Brookster– It’s genius! It’s pretty much a chocolate chip cookie baked on top of a brownie. Genius! I thought this was really good as well, but a tad sweet. It tasted like a slightly crunchy cookie on top of a soft brownie. Diner Double Dark– Classic diner style cake. Devil’s food layers. Frosted and filled with a semi-sweet chocolate frosting. This was a moist cake, a tad sweet. My friend was in love with this cake, I liked it but it was a tad too sweet for me. Still highly recommend. Deep Dark Brownie– solid brownie, moist on the inside and crunchy on the top. It was a good brownie but I felt like it was missing something. Walnut Zucchini bread– I am a fan of zucchini bread and this was very solid. I really enjoyed the bread. It’s moist and flavorful. Bacon Bourbon cookie– meh. It was the cookie of the month and it just seemed like a reg cookie, the bacon was so mild. I would skip. Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar– Shortbread crust with a spiced pumpkin filling — topped with a heavenly cream cheese frosting. I thought it looked amazing, too bad it was my least fav. The pumpkin filling was off putting and the texture was just odd. *sad face*
