I highly recommend Basile Realty group to people in Brooklyn neighborhood. All staff (Dan, Abram and Robert) are very approachable, efficient and hard working, provided good estimate of rental price, able to rent out all 3 of apartments within a month after I purchased the house. Thank you so much to them! I refer them to my friends as well.

My family recently used these guys in search for a new home. They were so helpful, reliable and got the job done! Made the process as easy as possible. Returned phone calls promptly, were not pushy and took their time to make sure we found exactly the home we wanted. Would definitely recommend!

The owner called me specifically to help me. Basile is not too bad after all. I have already found a place but after the owner called and emailed me to explain everything I have actually referred some people. 3.5 stars on my end.

I moved to NY in August of last year with two roommates. Everything was going fine until one of them suddenly had to move back home, leaving me somewhat scrambling for a new plan. Being new to New York and aware of the many scary outcomes that apartment hunting can bring, I was biting my nails on this one. Luckily, I found Dan at Basile Realty. His manner and cadence was very welcoming, and he ended up showing me two apartments in my price range. The second apartment is where I currently reside and so far I’m happy. I would recommend this realty group and Dan highly. Thanks Dan!

I was helped by Bod, he had found me my apartment within 3 days. My apartment was exactly what i was looking for. It was all done very profesonally and he was very patient and respectful through out the whole process.

I recently visited their office and was shown an apartment by one of their agents. Although the apt was not suitable I found the whole service offered more than satisfactory and will definitely be using their services to help me locate an apartment in Brooklyn.

I was shown illegal apartments (no refrigerator, no or invalid cert. of occupancy) and told that this was «normal» in Bensonhurst. I didn’t know they were illegal at the time, but checking with other licensed realtors revealed that the apartments were, in fact, illegal. Also, the apartment I eventually rented was a month-​to-​month with no lease, no written contract and, yet, Basile wanted the commission fee (which I paid). You pay for a lease, not a handshake! Now I know better.
This agency ought to have its license revoked, if it’s even got one. Caveat Emptor.
NB: According to the New York State Division of Corporations, Basile Realty had its incorporation dissolved on Aug 05, 2009, so its status as a lawful corporation (other than a sole proprietorship) is also probably lost. Basile Realty now calls itself Basile Realty Group. Further, the NYS Department of State shows no real estate licenses for Basile either as real estate brokers or salespersons:

I found an apt through them in April. I have mixed feelings about them since the agent said he knew my landlord very well and he worked with him before. It turns out my landlord is a greedy slumlord type! I don’t know if it’s their fault but I don’t like being lied to especially when I paid a month’s rent to them! Maybe I just got unlucky…

As realty agencies go, I was impressed.
I was shown a number of apartments, none of which I chose to take. However, the agent was patient and understanding and had alot of apartments within the area and the price range I was looking for.
If your looking for a good agency, this is the way to go.

I don’t see a ton of small realty places being reviewed, but figured this place deserved it. I’ve lived in the same place for 2 years and was found on a whim with the help of these folks. They showed me around a number of Bensonhurst/​Dyker Heights apartments that were geared towards single living. I’d recommend them to anyone who was looking to move to NYC, but wasn’t necessarily concerned with living in a cool neighborhood. I have a place that gets me to center of Manhattan in about 35 minutes, so that’s huge for me! I’ll probably be using someone else to move to a more personally desirable location, but Basile was good for this newcomer to the city!
