One of, if not the best barbershop I have ever been to. The professionalism and the quality of the haircut is something you can’t seem to get today with all of these amateur barbers out there. I have been going to bay ridge barbershop for a couple years now and have never had a bad haircut.

I have been going here for years now and I will continue to be loyal. Boris and his team are all great barbers. Even though Boris is my main barber, I have gotten a cut from all the guys there. Zero complaints.

Best barber shop in Brooklyn, Iv been going there since they opened and can’t imagine going Any where else Boris the owner knows how to run a business and is a true gentleman.

Made a last minute impulsive decision to come to Bay Ridge cuts to have my shaggy beard shaped. I was in the neighborhood having my BMW serviced and had some time to kill.
I was very impressed on the cleanliness of the place. The barber chairs were amazing as it can be converted from a hair cut chair to a shaving chair by reclining. The place felt like a real men’s barber and shaving shop. Eduardo had shaped my beard to perfection. I highly recommend this barber shop for a clean nice looking beard shape and shave.

I’ve been going to Boris for a couple months now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Best haircuts in bay ridge, especially for young professionals. Boris and all the rest of his staff can make anybody look good And it’s affordable. Try it out you won’t regret it.

Belive me, Getting a proper haircut for an Indian student here in NYC is a big challenge and this place is perfect, they listn to you, talk to you, make you comfortable and make you trust them. Gustav and Egar are cool. You can believe them. I higly recommend this shop.

It’s always scary going to a new place when it comes to hair cuts but when you walk into this spot you instantly feel a little better. It’s a great shop and it seems every chair has a skilled barber. I’m glad I found this place.

If you are skeptical about switching to a new barber from your old one, this is your place. I have never felt so satisfied with a haircut, not even from any of the haircuts I got from my old barber. I had to switch from my old barber, because I have been a customer for over 4 years, and I think they thought I could tolerate some bad service lately and worse– a rushed haircut.
I was nervous about switching my old barber and didn’t know what to expect. I always had a hard time to describe what I always wanted for a haircut, and when Boris heard my uncleared expectations, he just knew and said: «just leave it to me, you are going to look good.» and he wasn’t kidding. I really could tell he was paying attention to details while cutting, and he was decently fast (NOT RUSHED). I ended my haircut with very clean and perfect length tape up, without feeling any residue of hair on my neck or forehead.
The ambient was comfortable and some amenities (water, TV, GUMBall, GREAT couches). My only compliant was that the stations needed some sweeping (hopefully it was due to a busy time of the year) and they just need to brush a bit the razors after switching out customers. Nevertheless, these are no reason for not coming back and worth the distant travel (as compared to walking distant from my old barber).

My boyfriend went to get his haircut here and he came back completely satisfied. He got his hair cut with Boris who took one look and knew exactly what to do. He took his time and was very talkative and friendly!
His hair had grown out alot and Boris styled it and brought it back to a nice clean cut length!

Made a switch for a new local barber. Edgar was attentive and listened to my requests. He spent 45 minutes on my first haircut there. A bit long, but I rather it take some time than rushed. It came out great!
A haircut costs $ 15.

I’m very picky with my haircuts, but Boris skilled it. Very good fades, tape ups and beard shape ups, I will definitely recommend trying this shop out !

I arrived to find all the chairs full with two guys waiting ahead of me. No problem, I figured. I’ll wait. I then sat there for the better part of an hour and in that time, only one guy actually got up, at which point his barber took a twenty minute break. I have never seen it take that lobby for men to get haircuts. I eventually just got up and left.

Was tired of going across the street to the cheap asian stylist who couldn’t understand how I wanted my hair. Found these guys on Unilocal and based on their rep I checked it out. I brought a photo of what I wanted and Boris did a great job doing a nice fade all around with the top slicked back. I guess you could call it an undercut with a fade or something. Will be back in a month for sure. Worth the extra bucks and the 10 minute bike ride from my place.

Hands down best barbershop in Bay-​Ridge. It might not look much from the outside but come inside and you’ll find a chill environment, talented barbers, and probably pawn stars on the t. v
All jokes aside been coming here for probably a year or two now and i never walked out that door without that fresh-​cut smile. Boris, Gustavo, and vito (not there anymore) NEVER mess up, always on point these guys.
Never tipped less than $ 5 over here, never disappointed.

Quick EDIT: Before I finally got to these guys i shopped around practically everywhere from 90^th st to 69^th st on 3^rd ave, others don’t compare.

Great place for a haircut, they take there time and do a quality job. Nice laid back environment and a clean shop.
Got a cut from Vito and have no complaints, he made sure I got what I wanted. At $ 15 you cant go wrong.

If you’re like me, visiting the barber shop is not only time-​consuming but a chore. Between work, school, and more work it is difficult to justify spending any amount of time that consists of neither studies, work or drinking. When I first walked into Bay Ridge Barber Shop, I wasn’t expecting much. A typical Brooklyn barber shop, perhaps. I was mostly glad they did not have a name like «Hot Phadez», or «High Fade-​Z», etc. A place where I can go and not expect to leave being «cut like a razor blade» (hat tip to Vanilla Ice)
Vito has been a constant savior of mine since my first cut here a few months ago. A haircut and shavette razor shave for 20 $! (I always leave at least a 5 $ tip on top of that). He has taken me in as a Wolverine lookalike and scaled me back to a well-​groomed pedigree. With each swipe of the blade, or snip of the blades his perfectionist nature shines through whatever dead-​animal I have growing on my head since my last visit and turns me human again.
Whether you are deciding to try something new, or kick it retro; the guys and gal (singular) have got your back*! When you come to Bay Ridge Barber Shop, you are getting more than a haircut and shave — you are getting transformed.
*No really, I believe they do waxing in the back

Getting a new barber is not an easy decision, and it is one I dread. It can drastically improve or decrease your quality of life. That being said, changing to Sal at BRBS was a drastic improvement.
I was going to my normal lady down the street who cuts my hair. When I got there they told me she was on vacation. I couldnt wait for her to get back, so I took a chance and went to Bay Ridge Barbershop.
I am happy i did so, it worked out well, and I have been back 3 or 4 times since.
Sal cut my hair.
I was very specific with him, I didnt want the normal Bay Ridger Leased Mercedes-​Benz Café Reme haircut. I have had that done to my hair in the past, and I hid myself like a lepper for a week.
Sal did a great job, and gave me a professional haircut. He straight razored my neck and did the warm towel thing. It was awesome.
Sal listen to what I wanted, and his execution was flawless. Sal did an excellent job, and I will go to him whenever possible.
