Joe’s Barber Shop

This was my first time at Joe’s as my previous barber retired. When I sat down he asked what type of haircut I wanted and he took his time and and gave me just what I wanted. He was patient and determined and the result was excellent. I wil lcertainly be using him again.

I didn’t get a hair cut here, but I brought a FedEx package to drop off next door, in the middle of a storm without knowing that the store would be unexpectedly closed. I was distressed as it was a HUGE box, and stood there looking at the closed storefront in disbelief. An older gentleman – possibly Joe – came out of Joe’s Barber Shop and asked me what was wrong. I told him about how I walked 20 blocks to deliver this package, and yet the store was closed. Joe was closing up shop, but he offered to leave the package in his store, and he would give it to them when they opened on Tuesday, so that I wouldn’t have to make the trip back with such an inconveniently large box! WHAT AN AWESOME, AWESOME MAN. I accepted graciously, and lo and behold – I tracked the package the next week, and he delivered on his promise! The package was delivered safe and sound. :) The least I can do is write him a stellar Unilocal review – this kind of unsolicited act of kindness needs to be recognized! Thank you so much, Joe! You’re a rarity and a neighborhood hero!

Went a second time and my hair came out great again. The one thing I will say is that this isn’t the place to go if you are looking to run in and run out for a quick cut. Joe takes his time, and honestly its more the experience of sitting in a barber shop, bantering with everyone and getting an amazing hair cut.

Giuseppe was very friendly and took his time to give me a great haircut. It’s hard to find a good old time barber. I definitively would go back to him!

Been getting my hair cut at Joe’s for about 15 years now, ever since I moved into the neighborhood. Joe is always friendly and gives you a haircut at a very reasonable price.
