Found Maggie through a recommendation from shoestring press(a print shop /class) in the neighborhood We designed our own wedding invitation with some gut-checking with Maggie on feasibility in printing. Her pricing includes design so we had ours reduced to just include printing for the invites & envelopes.(Based on the designs we saw in the studio, I don’t think you would go wrong with having Maggie come up with something with you). From contact to printing, it took about 2 wks which we thought was really quick. We mixed our own custom ink color(Maggie can do 1,2, or more if you need) & was able to see the invites printed bc we lived close by. We supplied our own envelopes because we wanted a specific color but you can get that & paper through Maggie as part of the orig pricing. After printing, Maggie then sent the envelopes over to our calligrapher which is awesome & saved us a trip to the USPS. I thought it was crazy that Maggie had just given birth a month ago & was still so responsive to emails on design & pricing. She is incredibly knowledgeable on her machinery, paper, and basically everything that has to do with her craft. We also appreciated her flexibility with us as we learned the process as we were going. If you’re looking for book binding, Maggie also does that in her studio.

I found Campbell Raw Press through Etsy, when I was hunting for reasonably priced, sophisticated letterpress wedding invitations. Maggie was responsive, communicative, and flexible throughout the whole process– she accommodated our atypical number of requested invitations(i.e. not a usual increment of 25) and actually invited us to her studio to proof our invitations in-person. We had a great time learning about how the letterpress process works and watching Maggie mix our custom ink colors. Our invitations were ready to go very quickly after our proofing session, and they looked flawless. We had splurged on going the letterpress route with some trepidation, but in the end we felt it was worth it– the results are so special. After sending them out, we received compliments and were happy to hear that some of our friends are holding onto their invites as keepsakes. Crown Heights is lucky to have Maggie and her letterpress in the neighborhood!
