This place is cool, they have a good selection of stuff & the owners are super nice. I hate that the aisles are so tiny! But it’s your typical Brooklyn corner store EXCEPT they’re not open late, by 9pm is lights out.

Pretty standard corner deli/grocery — but this one’s mine! The guy who makes sandwiches is really nice and has never gotten my sandwich order wrong. He did put lettuce on one of my students’s sandwich once but, eh, a little lettuce won’t hurt ‘em. Besides sandwiches they’ve also got the usual range of chip and snack items(very essential for those days when you need salt/sugar). They do take cards, but there is a $ 10 minimum.

Has all the essentials, including my favorite Ben and Jerry ice creams and made to order boars head sandwiches.

Carroll Deli & Grocery provides household staples(beverages, beer, snacks, etc.) that can save you a trip to the grocery store — or in my case, save you from starving to death or catching a cold while waiting for your table at neighboring Lucali( ) during a seasonal downpour. Let’s face it, the line at Lucali can be excruciatingly long and it’s BYOB and cash only, so it’s nice to have a tidy and well-run convenience store with beer, an ATM machine, and friendly owners just 100 feet away. This little shop had everything we needed to weather the stormy Lucali wait: hot tea, fresh fruit, and an assortment of cold beverages.
