I ordered delivery from grubhub once and never again. Personally I don’t even see it to be worth it to try this food again. I was pregnant, at work and starving. Delivery took over 2 hours and when they finally brought me my food, the burger patty was dry, overcooked and look absolutely disgusting. The fries were black as well. Everything was soggy. Long story short I didn’t eat it. I threw it straight into the trash and had to take a walk in 95 degree weather, waddling down the street to find something to eat. I was so appalled and absolutely disappointed. If you’re looking for good food, in my honest opinion this is not the place to go. There are so many pizzerias in the neighborhood that are a million times better than this one will ever be.

Ordered 2 plain slices here with my boyfriend. Not only was the pizza undercooked and horrible tasting we both had the worst stomach pains afterwards. We ended up staying inside because of how sick we felt. I’d rather eat Papa John’s or Dominoes than this garbage.

I love their chicken vodka square and order it often. I was going to order it on grub hub, but decided to just call it instead. The price on grub hub is $ 20, the price I was charged was $ 25, then $ 6 for a bottle of soda and tax. I have never been charged tax by a pizza place before, unless I order it from grub hub/seamless. I pay the delivery guy and called Connies. They didn’t seem to care the price difference and were pretty rude on the phone. I won’t be ordering from here ever again. I’ll take my business to d amore or some place else. To make matters worse, the pie was tasteless and had barely any vodka sauce on it.

I used to love this place. It’s around the corner from my mother’s house. This week I bought a veggie pizza for a little birthday celebration. We were unanimous that there was No flavor. Not enough sauce. The veggies were fresh, the delivery was on time.

I have ordered the same items from different pizzerias in my neighborhood. Never have I had such bad food. I ordered the baked clams, I know it’s always a risk but the breadcrumbs were so burnt they crunched when I bit into it. Also ordered the shrimp scampi. The pasta was so dry and flavorless, there was no sauce, and the shrimp looked dirty. This was the most disappointing food I have ever encountered. Beware of this place, they have a nice looking menu on seamless, which is how I ordered. Do not order from Connie’s. I will never again eat their food.

Me and my bf got a TERRIBLE food poisoning after ordering food from them. 101 temperature, vomiting all night… And we really ate just a little. I suspect the marinara sause was bad. And also Im a big calamari fan, so I ordered a portion and they came like rocks. I tried to chew one but only hurt my mouth and threw out the whole portion. Besides that I only ate pasta with marinara sause.

I have been on the hunt for a good pizzeria since I moved to sheepshead bay. I had this pizza and I’m not so impressed. The menu I received in the circular had a coupon that prompted me to call. They completely denied ever issuing the coupon and insisted it was for a different connies even though the number, address, and prices were the exact same.((face palm)) ok fine I ordered anyway without the coupon … An hour later I received a pizza that the cheese was blackened from being burnt. And of course it was cold so we each had to put our slices in the toaster oven before eating them n hope it didn’t burn any further. … Needless to say I am still on the hunt for a decent pizzeria, because this pizzeria is way off on what a business should be.

i recently went to connie’s about 3 days ago and the pizza used to be great — but now it seems the owners and employees don’t have the same enthusiasm they use too. the pizza tasted bland and it gave me a slight stomachache and my friend had vomit and it was expensive. 15.25 for just 4 pizzas and 3 sodas, i could’ve went to papa johns for better, cheaper pizza if i knew that’s what i was going to be served. i hope they do better or make a change

Got a fresh pie to take out just recently. They are well priced but I would say average(hence the 3 stars) as far as the pizza experience. And I definitely prefer a pizza experience worth remembering. Each pizzeria should have their own special something, and this one lacked that special something unfortunately, at least for me. The full menu has plenty of other options and I would be up for trying their heros or salads and whatnot next time. So i took the menu home. The prices seem to be more than reasonable perhaps a good choice for ordering in next time. I heard their calzones were some of the best in Sheapshead bay so that will definitely be on the must try checklist for next time. Physically, however, I would be hesitant to eat inside. It looked a little abandoned to me on a Sunday afternoon. But who am I to judge, as long as the cooking area is clean and the food is worthy.

I’m a big fan of Connie’s. I’ve been getting pizza there since I was a little kid. Now, my family orders delivery from them at least once or twice a month. The delivery is always reliable(and they can find our house, which is pretty difficult for many other local places) and the people I’ve interacted with there have always been great. I also really like their sauce — good sauce is so important for good pizza(and good subs, and good pasta…) and theirs is great. They also put together a good house salad, which I appreciate.

Going to Sheepshead Bay High from 1965 to 1968, I ate many a slice at Connie’s. I think a slice was 15 cents back then. Maybe a quarter. It’s been a long time. Sounds cheap, but I was 15 and working 70 hours a week(after school) at Waldbaums for $ 1.25 an hour. Cheesy, olive oily, thin, gooey and delicious. I haven’t been back since I graduated and joined the Navy and left NY in 1968. I’m in Texas, at the moment, and wishing I had a Connie’s pizza right now. Gotta give it 4 stars just for hanging in there for so many years.

The sign on the outside says $ 5 subs. Inside the price was $ 7. I had to negotiate to get down to $ 5.50. The chicken parm sub was average. The pizza was not bad. The teenage server is a friendly guy.

I havent had it since I was a kid but I have the best memories of the paper thin, gooey, cheesy crispy masterpiece! The perfect slice of NY pizza… ah I miss you Connie’s. I hope the next time I grab a slice it holds true, stay tuned…

I would rate Connie’s more of a 3.5 than a 3. I’ve loved this pizzeria for a solid decade, and their mushroom slices are still my favorite, but their employees have gone from bad to worse, and their spinach rolls are the only ones in all of NYC that don’t have cheese in them, and taste *incredibly* bland. I’ll definitely be back, but only for mushroom slices, and perhaps an Italian ice.

Fast service, cheap price, facetious but nice employees. Delivery is a tad on the slow side, but they get a lot of phone calls. Interior is kind of dull, but accommodating and the seating is good for a group of friends. They play old school radio here.
