CPR Cell Phone Repair

I am updating my rating.
After smashing my iPad air screen as part of a truly bad day on Tuesday, I immediately did you what you are doing now. I checked Unilocal!for a reliable place to get it fixed. Once I pulled up the list I started making calls.
If you read my initial review on 1÷19÷16 you will already know that my initial impression was strong, 4 stars. I have learned that Ronald was who I spoke to and his professionalism and thoroughness on the phone went beyond quote and included mentioning average repair time for my situation and their warranty policy.
In the end, this first impression caused me to go out of my way to use them.
When I dropped off my tablet I was served by Jay and once again I was impressed with the professionalism and overall service I received: Knowledgable, customer oriented service. I arrived a bit early to pick up my iPad, and during my wait Jay was happy to go out of his way to patiently answer my random tech questions about screen protectors, etc., and even made a few quick Google searches to ensure I had *completely accurate* information. Later I learned that Chris did the work and it was done exactly as promised for $ 20 bucks less than their competition. (This is why I took down their names!)
I urge you to consider making CPR your Go To for cell phone and tablet repair; as in, put them in your cell phone contacts *now*. If you haven’t cracked a screen yet, you will! Or someone you know will and you will be their hero for turning them on to CPR. I will be referring these guys again and again. FYI, subways that are within a few blocks are the 2/​¾/​5/​R/​G/​A/​C/​F, so you could even drop off before work and easily pick up at lunch or by end of day, as I did. 224B Atlantic Ave, corner of Court and Atlantic.

NOTE TO OWNER: Make sure this team completely understands how much you value what they are doing for you. They were trained right and bring the exactly right attitude to what they do. I suggest figuring out a way to ensure they each get a day off in the Spring. You want this team happy (so they can each manage additional locations for you one day!)

This happened a while ago — but I brought in my phone, and they told me to drop it off and it would be ready tomorrow. I came back the next day and it was not ready. Would have been great if they had called (i had a backup phone) or emailed me. Turned out they didn’t have the part in store. Took another week to get the part and fix the phone.
However, when they told me the phone was ready again, it was actually missing the part of the phone that held the sim card. They explained to me that it was a small piece and that small pieces sometimes get lost, which seems like an awfully convenient excuse for a company that works with small pieces. Ended up taking my phone elsewhere. Horrible, horrible service.

Incredible! I thought this place a mirage as I walked by picking shards of glass out of my swiping thumb and dreading an apple store stop during the holidays to fix my cracked screen. Greeted with smiles and no line they said the screen would be like new in 20 minutes. 12 minutes later my phone was good as new and I got a snazzy new case from their great selection. If and when I smash my phone again (let’s be honest — when), I will gladly come back!

Over priced and take advantage of customers. They overcharged me before and it was ok because it was an emergency. Called recently for a cracked screen, they were charging me $ 75 more than the Apple Store. Check your options before settle on this place. I just don’t trust this place when it comes to price. They did the work when I needed it done. I would only go back to this on an emergency, just like the name of the place CPR. They are their for emergencies ONLY!

They are the fastest, most reliable and the best — only had great experiences there!

My Galaxy Note 3 would not power up. I headed off to T-​Mobile on Court St. which recommended CPR. I am so glad they did.
I needed the power button replaced. They did it in 5 days (they had originally estimated 10) which was very good especially since they had to order the part. Total cost — $ 78.
Completely worth it. Very good customer service as well.

Joseph — the phone literally came apart like it was made of plastic. I don’t know what to say. It shouldn’t have happened less than 24 hours after having it repaired without it being dropped– just placed down on a table. Something doesn’t add up — seriously. The other company didn’t know my screen was broken before — before repairing it, they said «this isn’t the original glass, right, cause it’s flaking off like plastic?» I asked how they knew and they showed me how it was coming apart it and said either it was installed incorrectly and or was bad glass and/​or both. And I have to believe them — when I called CPR afterwards I asked if I could at least get a discount on a new and was told no. Whether or not CPR has 250 locations or not doesn’t change the fact that I wasted $ 190 getting my phone repaired there. I am upset and rightfully so.
Joseph — I was offered absolutely no discount. I would have come in if that was the case. Rather, I called and asked about one, was put on hold and was told nothing could be done because it’s physical damage. The person said I could come in if i wanted and I asked what was the point if nothing could be done and he replied — «I guess no point.» That’s why I wrote the negative review. I was willing to pay extra money for a repair, but then received that negative customer service and was told by another repair person that the work was shoddy. That’s the truth. My experience was with your business was unfortunately awful.

They broke my camera and lost my sim card when all I wanted was a new screen.
Made me angry!

Excellent customer service! iPhone battery was fixed and my phone now works great– wish I would have changed my battery sooner!

Can’t fault them. I brought in my iPhone as it wasn’t charging (I’d done the obvious things like trying to clear out any fluff from the port and check the cable). They gave the port a clean out with compressed air — it turned out one last piece of lint in the corner was blocking one pin — and I was done. They could have charged me for their time, or claimed the charging port needed to be replaced, but instead they just handed it back to me with a smile. Proper service!

Fastest repair place in the neighborhood!

Very helpful staff. I got my Xperia phone fixed within three days. I crashed my LED screen and the phone could not work. The price was not cheap but the repair was really quick, took me less than 15 minutes.

I went to the Verizon store and the guy there said that CPR was the best. And he was right. There work is excellent. And you can pick up your phone the very same day!

This place is amazing. I had a problem with my One Plus 1 phone (because I’m a complete %+¢°& moron).
My carrier is Metro PCS. After bringing the phone to 3 different Metro PCS stores to be activated, and each said the phone was defective, I brought the phone to CPR. Within 10 minutes, I was told the phone would work perfectly with an activated SIM card. All the other places had been putting the SIM card in wrong.
Happiness because my phone works. BTW I was able to activate the phone online for *free*, and save the $ 16 I would have been charged at a Metro PCS store.

I had something jammed into the charging part of my iPhone; I had gone to another nearby repair store but was told that it couldn’t be removed and would need to spend $ 60 to get the part replaced. To shop around, I dropped by CPR and within 15 minutes had me on my way with a functioning, charging iPhone… for free! Don’t go to seedier looking shops expecting that the deals will be there. The CPR people are great, honest and will get the job done.

I was having trouble finding a place that would fix my Spanish phone. Every person I took my android to just looked at it and turned me away. CPR did not!!! Joe was extremely helpful, his staff is awesome. All I needed was a new power button for my phone and man Joe delivered. I recommend these guys with every phone. They are the only place that would seriously fix an international phone. Best ever. Plus they always quote you a very good price to fix your phone and lend you a phone while your phone is being repaired.

I went to Cell phone Repair today to get my cell phone fixed, of course. When I entered the store, a gentleman came from the back room and warmly greeted me. He gave me a free estimate based of the description of the problem and told me to come back in an hour and forty five to pick up the phone. When I arrived and hour and twenty minutes later, the phone had already been fixed. It turns out that it was a minor problem and only cost $ 45 to fix. I was very impressed by his honesty.
If everyone in the world was this kind and honest, can you imagine what the world would be like?

Weird experience at CPR on Atlantic. My iPhone 5 had stopped charging when I plugged it in. I took it to CPR and they told me they would have to replace the port, said it would take about an hour and cost $ 70. I came back later that afternoon and they told me that they had tried replacing the port and tried replacing the battery but that neither had solved the problem. She told me that she put my existing port and battery back in and wouldn’t charge me anything since she couldn’t figure it out. The next day I took it to an apple store where the genius at the genius bar used a paperclip to pull out some lint from the port. She said it happens all the time and that replacing the port (while totally unnecessary) would have solved the problem.
So I guess the people at CPR lied about having replaced the port, which is weird since they didn’t charge me anything. Anyhow, the CPR people were perfectly nice, and didn’t charge me anything, but as far as I can figure out they are either incompetent or dishonest.

Greetings, I dropped my iPhone 5s today 6÷6÷14 and I immediately went on Unilocal to find a repair shop.
I called CPR and they said «yes come in».
I got there in 10mins and the young man was very very nice. Gave them my phone and went to sit in my car .in 1 hour it was fixed. And the young man came to my car which was across atlantic ave (I was parked) and told me it was ready.
The phone is like new. Works and looks amazing. They know what they are doing and you have a 6month warranty too.
