History

Established in 1992.

by Margaret Tapogna Gatzonis, Danceworks Dance Center quickly became one of the leading artistic and creative dance education centers in the City of New York for its time. Students of Danceworks have been accepted into specialized school programs, including Mark Twain Jr. High School, LaGuardia High School and numerous college programs with concentrations in dance and the arts. Former students and Danceworks’ Alumni have transitioned into professional careers appearing in film, TV, Broadway and gracing concert stages across the U.S. as well as overseas.

In 2005 Danceworks was named one of the «Top 50 Studios On The Move» by Dance Spirit Magazine. In 2008, after 16 years as head of the organization, Margaret decided to embark on a new path leaving the studio in the hands of Fallon Preziotti White, a longtime member of Danceworks and a graduate of LaGuardia HS.

Fallon trained professionally under the direction of Penny Frank, Matthew Neenan, Elisa King and Joey R. Smith at the prestigious LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York City. As a competitive dancer she was awarded numerous top awards and superior high score awards including the «Judges Award for Excellence» in her senior year.

Fallon has choreographed for KTU’s Summer Beatstock production and travled to Beijing, China with «On Stage America’s» TEAM USA. More recently, Fallon has worked as an adjudicator with the «On Stage America» organization judging talent competitions on the east coast.

Teaching has always been Fallon’s passion; In 2008 Fallon acquired Danceworks Dance Center from her mentor & founder, Margaret Tapogna Gatzonis. Fallon is proud to carry on all that is Danceworks Dance Center & looks forward to cultivating the next generation of BRILLIANT artists.
