Dr David Kurtz is a third generation owner of the dental practice. The practice was started by Dr Okun around 1958. Dr Douglas Block then took over the practice in 1983. He still continues his work here part time and Dr David Kurtz has joined the practice since 2008 and is here full time.

Dr Kurtz received a BA degree from NYU. He then went on to SUNY Stony Brook to complete his dental training and received his DDS. Dr Kurtz then continues his studies at Mt Sinai Hospital with a two year general dental residency, serving as chief resident during his second year. He spent most of his time at Mt Sinai studying advanced prosthetics and implant surgery. Dr Kurtz then continued his studies at NYU Dental School by completing a two year post-​doctorial program on implant surgery and prosthetics.

Dr Kurtz treats children of all ages as well as adults. He uses some of the latest technology including Laser dentistry, the latest oral cancer screening methods, digital radiography, single tooth anesthesia (STA), and telescopic loupes for enhanced magnification.
