It was in Rome, Italy that it’s founder was first inspired with idea of Delacqua Salon and Spa while proposing to his wife on a gondola floating on the Venice canal. He wanted to bring a little bit of Europe back to the USA so that he could always have a piece of that beautiful moment with him and so upon his return, he began to build his dream.

With the help of his beautiful wife and her amazing talent in interior design, they set of on their adventure. Within 4 long months of sleepless nights and determination, Delacqua was born. Delacqua, which translates into «something beautiful out of water» is one of the most beautiful salon spas in NYC. DELACQUA SPA did it again, I couldn’t be anymore happier with my transformation after having a horrible experience at U-​MODE salon where I dropped over $ 300 spend more then 6 hours there for them to spoil my hair and never got the color I wanted I came with hope to Delaqua to fix the color and they made my entire experience better then I thought. Ben is an amazing professional without too much talk he did exactly what I’ve dreamed of! The owner Alex is the most generous man and has the best staff! Also special thanks to my dear Rachel that works there and makes your presence special! Without a doubt DELAQUA salon is a #1 place to go to, no more experiencing with other over priced salons! Where do I start?! The love I have for this salon/​spa and all of its special attributes is indescribable!
Let’s take it back to 3 – 4 years ago when I was in the market for a stylist to perfect a subtle yet head turning blonde ombré … After lots, and I mean LOTS of research I stumbled upon Anthony Aksoy the «ombré King.» I decided to just go for it and make an appointment. The day of my appointment arrives and I step into a beautiful, Royal, trendy (with some rustic touches) salon. Greeted by the front desk, I’m immediately offered a glass of water, tea, cappuccino, or champaign. As I make myself comfortable, Anthony Aksoy approaches me and we begin the process. IMMEDIATELY I fell in love with him and new we would be good friends for years to come! The entire process took around 2.5 hours — my hair was BEAUTOGIL — I felt like one of those women from the cover of a hair magazine with a focus on blondes ;) … 3 – 4 years later and I will not let anyone else color my hair. He’s mastered it all with me: long, short, platinum and back to ombré as if effortlessly.
Now leys talk about some of my other friends at Delaqua. KEVIN! Kevin is absolutely amazing at updos and Hollywood big beautiful curls. Kevin came out all the way to Long Island for my sisters wedding and perfected everyone’s hair– we all looked stunning. The great thing about Kevin oath at he is pretty much a master with any look!
Rachel — I consider her the «mama» of the crew … She’s awesome. She usually takes care of washing the hair; however, you automatically feel the warmth and family vibe of the salon/​crew after sitting in her chair.
Tamara — her makeup creations are flawless! I personally like to do my own makeup and; therefore, have never sat in her chair — but I LOVE watching her in action ! Stunning! She’s also been super helpful in regards to hair products I should use for my thinning issues– love her.
Alex– owner of the salon — he is so incredibly SUPERCOOL — always on the floor making sure things are running and going smoothly. He’s not one of those «head honchos» that locks himself in the office waiting for magic to happen. You can see that everyone employed there genuinely cares about the customer and services provided — this usually stems from the top — bravo alex!
Delaqua also has a nail/​massage/​facial salon on thrip stairs level… Ultimately making it a one stop shop.
I honestly never take the time of day to write reviews and this may seem a bit bias due to the love I have for my Delaqua family; however, I can prob count at least 100 people that feel the same way!
Try them out, you will not be disappointed!

Haven’t had a chance to write a review until now. I had scheduled an appointment with Ivan for a haircut for last Saturday. Although he was a bit held up with another client, I cannot be more thrilled with the service that I received. While I waited, the owner as well as three other staff members walked over to me to make sure that I was comfortable, and offered me coffee, dessert, and white/​red wine. Everyone was extremely pleasant to me. And Ivan was extremely attentive to my needs, and I’m very happy to report that I got exactly what I had asked for. He is an amazing hairstylist, and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Delacqua is officially my new favorite hair salon.

I have been debating since day one to write a review, only because the first time I went to the salon I was very pleased with the outcome. However the second time I went, I was highly disappointed. I found Delacqua salon through the rave reviews I saw online and what I saw on Instagram. My stylist from day one was Anthony. The first time he did my hair it was absolutely beautiful. However the second time my hair was completely ruined. It seems that Anthony is over booked, and doesn’t have adequate time to spend with each client. I have waited 2 months to write this review. During my second visit with anthony, I requested to go lighter, haircut and blow out. My hair is burned very badly and the color job was sloppy, and on top of all that my hair has been falling out. This is very upsetting to write, as I tried my best to avoid this. It is also very upsetting because I have recommended 3 people to go directly to him. He unfortunately burned their hair and did a sloppy job on the color as well. It was embarrassing because I vouched for Anthony and the quality of his work and for my aunts he just really damaged their hair. Don’t get me wrong though Anthony does a great job on the haircut, but for color, I don’t know what the problem is but its just really not good. Perhaps he’s in high demand and gets over booked. As of right now, the search begins yet again for a salon that can undo the damage. The salon itself is very beautiful and everyone is nice.

This is my second time being here for Keratin Straightening. The first time I did was Brazilian Keratin and now I’m back to try the Keratin Hair Botox which is supposed to be 10 times better. Luckily I moved so now this salon is literally like my neighbor. Love this place. They treat you like queens here.
I literally called them 9am to try to squeeze me for the keratin hair Botox which is about a 3 hour process and they definitely accommodated me pretty quickly.
The owner Alex is very nice. He goes out of his way to greet each client when you come in and makes you feel right at home. The stylist Eldar who is doing my Hair Botox, is simply a hair magician. This is literally the only salon I do my Keratin treatments in. And the pricing isn’t bad whatsoever. I come here every 6 – 8 months to do the treatment because I love my hair frizz free and definitely straight.
This is definitely a salon to come check out, especially when you just want to pamper yourself after a long hard week :)

I had a very nice experience doing my manicure and pedicure at this salon. I’m so pleased with the way my nails look! On top of that, the service was great. I was offered a choice of drink and the girls even went to throw in extra quarters into my parking meter which ran out of time. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing. We received the Prince and Princess for a day package as a gift!
What an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we felt like royalty.
I received an amazing facial. The Esthetician was very honest with my skin and did not try to sell me something I did not need. (trust me I’ve been to many places and spent a lot of money for my skin to look flawless) she took time to examine my skin and did the appropriate treatment. I felt refreshed and my skin was looking flawless! Her name is Regina. She was great! And she told me exactly how to care for my skin when I was home .
The owner Alex came up to meet us and chatted with us. I love that he is all about his customers. He is a very genuine man. Not a typical «I just want your money «Buisness man. And like I said there are a lot of those out there. He was not one! He has a big heart. I can tell by just speaking with him

Salon’s décor is beautiful (something I really appreciate) but what truly makes this salon amazing is Anthony! I’ve been to high end salons in the city and a few in Brooklyn. I don’t really care about the price, I just need to it to be good! I have very thick, curly, long hair and really was never able to find a stylist that can do a good job. Anthony is God sent! He cuts my hair like no other! He also knows how to blow my hair out so that it isn’t pin straight as well as using the finest products. He won’t do something to your hair if he knows it won’t look good or will damage it. Highly highly recommend him!

I have always had concerns about going to brooklyn to do my hair.
But after Ive heard so many positive feedbacks about Ivan, I just decided to give it a try…
Im trying to grow my hair length and didnt want to add any color, but all girls want sone changes, you know:)
Ivan has a very welcoming warm energy and from half a word knows how to improve your look so you look like a superstar!
I loved the clean cut, he took off so little, yet I got a nice polished look.
More than that, he has special bleach that didnt destroy my hair at all!
He is my #1 to go guy now!

This place is truly amazing! I had one of the best experiences of my life while visiting Margarita for my facial. From the time I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and the energy made me feel at ease as first time visits can be nerve wrecking. The whole experience was very relaxing and she explained each step of what she was doing and made sure I was okay during the process! My face feels amazing and looks so much better! I was looking for a stylist to do my hair for my wedding for a while without any success until i came here. I do my research carefully and IVAN had the best reviews specifically for bridal styles. And he is TRULY AMAZING!!!
IVAN is a good listener and he did exactly what i was looking for. I had two trials and went with «waves» long hair that i absolutely loved. I also would like to notice that IVAN was extremely gentle and didn’t pull my hair during styling (my length is beyond my waist line), it was also not a problem to undo it at night the way he explained it.
IVAN is also a very sweet person, very pleasant to be around. Whenever i ll need an amazing hair — i know now where to go. Staff is very friendly.
After my trials i was getting so many compliments and looks as i was walking to my car lol
For nails — heard Olga Serdiuk is amazing. Do you research before going and you ll never have to leave a negative review

THE WORTS EXPERIENCE EVER…
Today was my first experience in this salon. I decided to do gel manicure and my master was Irina. She was nice to me but her job wasn’t good. I am extremely disappointed… I was ready to cry there because of it. French line was not even and it was really thick. Also i had to ask her to redo several nails and i knew that it is not good for my natural, but i couldn’t leave with what she did. I am still not happy… I believe you wish to get what are you paying for. It doesn’t worth $ 60 at all. I didn’t argue with them and I still left tips for her because this is the way i am. I am really sorry, i don’t want to write nothing bad about her, i am here to say about result which i got there. Guys you are all nice, but when you have this experience, you don’t wish to come back ever…

I could not be more happy with my hair! I thought I was happy with Europa design but this place fixed my brassy tone that Europa did not correct. I guess I didn’t notice until I left Europa, and washed it etc… anyway I saw max who did exactly what I wanted and blew my hair out amazing! I will be going back bi weekly for blow outs! Oh and they are all super friendly in there and offer champagne, cappuccino and never leave your cup empty ;)

I am a returning client of Delacqua hair salon and spa for over three years now. I use to spend over 200 dollars for hair cuts in the city and blow outs and having them repeatedly cutting my hair too short or making my hair really flat. This salon I can stand by them and say that they do a fantastic job on my hair. I constantly get compliments on my layers and blow outs after I go. I specifically go to one guy named Anothony and he always makes time for me even though he is always booked. I have tried other workers there and they all are trained to cut and blow out the same way which is great so Im never surprised or disappointed.
Front desk are all super nice and I feel like a princess when I walk in offering cappuccino or coffee. They use a ferrai designed engine blow dryer and amazing hair products. Love the lady that washes my hair too. Thanks for always making me have super model hair. Love you guys !!!
