Elegante Pizzeria

After all the hype, i had to try this place, i ordered a few items and they were excellent, however, DONT EVER ORDER A MEATBALL HERO, it was like slices of meat, i took one bite and right in the garbage, it was old, didnt taste like meatballs at all, wont be going back to that place

NEVER ordering from here again. My pizza took 3 HOURS to get here and when it did, it was disgusting. Had they not charged my card already, I would have cancelled and took my business elsewhere. The 30 minutes or free rules should come back. This is ridiculous. On a plus side, the workers were friendly about it. Just horrible service.

My name is Angelo I work @ Bayridge Nissan. I’m a big fan of pizza and I’ve been to high end places where pizza is expensive and brick oven made. By far this is one of my favorites I recommend any of my friends and acquaintance to try it. SUPER CHEESEEY and it just has a distinct flavor. YOU NEED TO TRY FOR YOURE SELF !!!

I am done with this place after this horrible customer experience and the selfishness behind the people there — I ordered a PIE on Sunday and after an hour waiting for a simple pie that I «specifically ordered» fresh well done and crispy — I called and said whats going on? I am not happy and want to cancel and I got the answer No you cannot its on the way well 40 MINUTES LATER it shows up yes ONE HOUR and 40 minutes for a pie to be delivered 23 blocks. I opened the box and of course it was cold looked like crap and was soggy ! SO I called and I was told sorry we busy — we send you another pie (admitting their FAULT). Why would I want another pie? Get the same garbage and wait another 90 minutes? L O L. So since I charged it I said come back and get this trash you sent me and they said NO — so now I am fighting the charge. They will not get away with service and treatment like this to GOOD PEOPLE. Never and I mean NEVER AGAIN.

Called here for delivery because of good reviews, and because I couldn’t get through to Krispy on the phone. We got a margherita pizza and it’s not that great. The sauce is really oily and acidic, doesn’t taste homemade at all. It’s also offputtingly dark in color and the pizza in general just looks totally unappetizing. It’s not inedibly bad, but it’s not enjoyable either.

Pizza is great in store, hot out of the oven. When ordering a square pie it tends to get soggy in the center, not their fault, moreso the boxes fault, same goes for round pies ordered home.
I grew up in this place. honest to god i have dreams of it.
wish they bought back the garlic knots. dumb hippie customers convinced them to turn them to «sticks» for easier dipping.
oh, i can’t forget, get a foccacia slice (sp), omigosh it’s the bees knees of pizza.
and get a slice with green peppers. yum.

Old school pizzeria with yummy pizza. I love when you come in to a good pizzeria and they have a fresh, hot batch of Sicilians. Yum! Pizza here is dam good. place is clean and they have a TV with plenty of seats. Slices are tasty too!

Great pizza, fairly fast service… plus it’s a local neighborhood spot. can’t go wrong, I love the Sicilian chicken Parmesan with pep… a bit pricey though

The best pizza in New York City in my experience. I wish I still lived in Bay Ridge, but I’d no doubt be a big fat person if I did. Probably have one of those sidewalk scooter cars for my massive dough ass. If you have access to this place you’re very lucky. Awesome.

My pick for best square pizza in Bay Ridge goes to Elegante. One of my favorite spots to pick up a slice or square in the hood. I’m not sure what it is they do to separate their Sicilian pie from everyone else, but keep doing it.
I think I had a chicken roll here once, but seriously, who cares? Come here for the pizza.

It’s ok — I have heard many good things about Elegants square pie but I think It’s very greasy — wish they would try a better quality cheese

It’s been 10 years since the first time I came here and their pizza never disappoints! You can not forget about their garlic sticks either. A slice of pizza and an order of garlic sticks is my default order. Can’t forget the mozzarella sauce on the side! It makes the best dipping sauce for the garlic sticks. If you have never tried it, you should :)! My friend introduced to me and I’m so thankful that she did.
The restaurant has a good amount of seating. It’s super clean. I recently found out it opens till late also (approximately till 12:30am). How awesome! The service is excellent here. The owner is so super nice.

It’s been 73 minutes since I placed my order, it’s still not here. Called in at 45 min to check if they had the right phone number because my building has no bell. The guy confirmed my number and said the delivery just left.
At 70 minutes my sister called in and the guy was extremely rude to her.
When she mentioned that I had called 25 minutes ago and they said the delivery just left, the guy says «There is no way that anyone here said that» and then hung up on her face.
I live 3 blocks away from this pizzeria. It doesnt take 75 min to deliver here. Krispy Pizza is a mile away and it still gets here in 30 min.
EDIT: Pizza just arrived 78 minutes. Its as cold as the pizzas that sit out, I dont even think its been near an oven in the last hour. The calzone is so cold its literally a solid block of cheese inside.
EDIT 2: I don’t know if this was done because my sister called in and they were ticked off at her but the entire pizza is SO salty. I couldnt get through more than a slice, even after wiping the entire pizza down with paper towels and reheating it in the oven.
I just spent 25 $ and now Im going out to get Chinese.
Screw this place, I’m telling everyone I know not to order here. I can’t believe this place has 4 stars on Unilocal

Fantastic! The BEST pizza in NY. The sauce is amazing. What is the secret? Everything is excellent. Fantastic rolls. Worth the toll.
Tip: The pizza jump started my labor ;)

I was lead to this spot all the way from Harlem by a passionate local. It was quite a trek, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t say I’m eager to jump on the train for it again.
I’d classify the pies we got (pepperoni and plain) as very good, bad pizza — by that I mean, it was tasty and greasy pizza. This is definitely not a bad thing! Just, next time, I’ll stop in the UWS for something likely indistinguishable and only a fraction of the train ride.
The worst part was, when we stopped at bar afterwards and told the bar tender we got dragged from harlem to bay ridge for pizza, she immediately explained, «Did you go to Pizza Wagon?!»

My go to spot for some local pizza.
No offense to papa johns, dominos, Pizza Hut, etc., but Local pizzeria pizza always tastes better, in my opinion. They take the time and effort to make a good pizza.
I enjoy this pizzeria. The smell of fresh pizza being made is oh so good.
The pizza here is pretty good here. I usually get a regular pizza slice from here. It tastes great. Tasty and a quick bite.
I enjoy the service here too. The guys who work there are always friendly.
