Best chino/Latino food around. Reasonable prices and food is delicious. They only negative… They close at 8:30pm and only take cash. Also. Delivery isn’t a certain daily.. But great food.

I called to order an Lunch Special, while I didn’t know which one to get Shrimp or Steak. The owner gave a friendly tip and made the choice for me «Its hot today, don’t get the spicy shrimp» I went with the Steak Fried Rice. No complaint. I went to pick up my order in the restaurant, the people working in there, you can tell they work really hard, but they still carry a smile to make you feel comfortable. Bottom Line is if an Asian person gives a 5 stars on the Asian restaurant. You know what’s up!!. ***** Highly recommended, not a typical local Chinese take out.

I was introduced to this restaurant in 2002 when I started dating a Brooklyn ex-pat. The food is Chinese-Caribbean fusion plain and simple. What does that mean? It means they have the pork egg foo yung that is also served with amazing tostones. Any meal that you order is cooked fresh when you order with none of the annoying sauces that some Chinese restaurants use as a «cover up». Yes their food is basic in the best way possible! It’s great food cooked fast and fresh! Anytime I visit NYC I make my way to Grand Lion(or as we call it Nuevo Leon).

Came here again for my usual deviled shrimp while my wife had her chicken crackling. Food still the same can’t complain. Same group of guys for over 40 years. This place should be a landmark. Very well recommended.

Dont listen to that transplant know it all eiden, he has no clue. All the puerto rican and domincan locals flock to this place and for good reason. Best pork fried rice I have ever had!!! This place has been here longer than you and will be here long after your gone, but try it and I bet you’ll love it. My favorite dish is fried jumbo shrimp and pork fried rice, made fresh and the shrimp are JUMBO. Add a side of tostones and drink a malta, and know what eat feels like to eat like a local hispano.

This place is one of my favorite fusion restaurants. I love the whole Latin-Chinese mix. Their best dish hands down I would have to say is the bistec a la palomilla, which usually is best with pork fried rice. I also love their chicharrones de pollo and their camarones al ajillo. All there food is great and comes out fast. If I had any complaint it would be that I wish they accepted credit/debit cards.

I had a hard time finding this place on Unilocal since I’ve known it simply as «el leon». And that’s because most of this restaurant’s clients come looking for an asian/latin fusion that this place has made available since I was a little boy. Having said that, don’t come looking for chinese food. Don’t come looking for health food. I know many people who love this restaurant, and good luck finding a seat on sundays after church… try the chicharron de pollo or the bistec a la palomilla or the mofongo and have the flan for dessert. I hope I can continue coming here for more years to come.
