I called in and requested some flowers last minute for a friend’s birthday… they couldn’t be more helpful, walked me through what I could get for my budget and then delivered them a few short hours later. When I saw the quality of the araingement they put together for a new customer I could not be happier. Most florists don’t put that much effort into a new customer and I could not be happier with the value, presentation and I guess the best complimentary thing I could say is I will definitely use them agai nn c when the need arises… thanks

I work in the area and I’ve been going to Greenpoint Florist for about 3 years. The selection is excellent and the prices are very fair. Nick is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and treats his customers very well. He will accommodate any request whether it is reasonable or not with a smile. The staff has bent over backwards to provide me with flowers out of season when no one else would even attempt procuring them. Nick even took care of a last-minute wedding request on the spot.(and I mean, like, 20 minutes before the ceremony«last minute») I wouldn’t recommend any florist over Greenpoint Florist, I have never found the service to be this personal and the prices to be so fair for the quality of flowers you get. I was surprised to see complaints on Unilocal regarding the service because I am a frequent customer and I have never once had a problem. I think it is silly to ask for a $ 75 dollar bouquet of flowers then become disillusioned when the bouquet costs $ 75. Several times I have done the same thing, saying I need a $ 25 dollar bouquet or a $ 50 dollar bouquet and I never felt that I was short-changed. I think it’s just as silly to be upset when you call for Valentine’s Day flowers DAYOF, and it turns out they are out of stock and can’t accommodate your last minute delivery request. That seems like a tall order on the day that 25% of all fresh flowers are sold in a year. That just seems like poor last-minute planning and bad luck. As far as the wedding complaint is concerned, I know better than to argue with a bride on her wedding day… tl;dr: Nick is amazing, he will help you with anything, no upselling or bait-and-switch or other nonsese. Great flowers, great service, great price.

I had a great experience here ordering reasonably priced floral and plant arrangements for two events. I was able to get exactly what I needed within the budget that I had set. Arrangements were delivered on time and the plants were ready for pick up as discussed. I was really pleased in particular with the plant arrangements which featured succulents and moss in interesting glass containers. The prices for these arrangements are more reasonable than many other places in the area. Definitely recommend going to the store in person. Mauricio helped us and was easy to work with.

I live in San Diego and send flowers to my mother-in-law every year on her birthday. This place has great customer service on the phone and arranges a beautiful bouquet and delivers on time. They’re great! I highly recommend them.

I just called over there to order Valentine’s Day flowers – they were very nasty and did not want to deliver. I asked for tulips and she said she didn’t know if she could deliver them, then put me on hold for 5 seconds, came back and said, «oh, you know what we just ran out of them.» Really nice way of doing business lady!

For your standard house plants and flowers skip Greenpoint Florist and Paradise Flowers and head north to World of Flowers — better selection and prices.

I had Greenpoint Florist do the bouquets/bouts/corsages for my bridal party. Not really having a clear vision, I walked in to talk to Nick. I told him how much I wanted to spend, which was not a lot, and not a problem — he never tried to upsell me and was straightforward about working in my price range. He was patient and did multiple arrangements until I was satisfied. Later I found some blue beaded sticks that I wanted to put in the bouquets that matched some of the other décor — he was wary about putting them in but did as requested. The bouquets arrived perfectly on time on the wedding morning and were beautiful and fresh throughout the day.

Used Greenpoint Florist for my wedding in January 2008, I was so upset with the results I am writing a review over a year later. My order was simple, blush colored roses… one bridal bouquet, two corsages, two pin-ons, two small bouquets, one bridal centerpiece(not to large ie. dozen roses), and fresh loose roses for the cake. Cost 400 $ which was reasonable, given it was a wedding, and all could have been done with less than five dozen blooms. When my flowers were delivered to my house the DAYOFTHEWEDDING… there was one white bridal bouquet, whichwas dying, the edges were briwn, two yellow rose bouquets and carnation corsages. After callng the florist and yelling about the confusion, he sent me all white rose substitutes reporting that all the blush roses arrived wilted. I felt that the proper business response would have been to call me and discuss my optons for replacement, not just wasting my time by sending what he felt«would do». The white rose replacements earned the one star. I did not want white roses, they did not compliment my color scheme, butfor an hour before the wedding tey did the job. When I arrived at the recption hall I was appalled to see the only flowers I ordered were carnations sprayd to color. I wouldnt buy carnations for a grave, so ther was no way i wouldpurchase them as the sole centerpiece at my wedding(the remaining tables had candles). Matters got worse when my wedding cake was revealed as having tulips and babysbreath. This florist clearly gae me whatever he felt he had leftin the store. Who would send tulips for a wedding cake for a wedding in January! I considered bringing this florist to small claims court, if it wouldnt take so much time to get back a measly 400 $. I instead have decided to never return and family and friends have been convinced to do the same. So in the long run this business loses all of our business, which is quite alot as I regulary purchased flowers weekly for the cemetery and host many events that require flowers. There are many other florists local that offer the same conveniences such as delivery, and the quality is far superior with them. FYI I coincidentally received a mothers day bouquet this year delivered to my home(gerber daisies, my favorite flower:) and by the next day almost all were drooping and turning brown, when i questioned the sender where they were ordered from… surprise none other than the Greenpoint Florist! What a shocker… Thumbs down Greenpoint Florist!

Used Greenpoint Florist for a floral arrangement basket that we needed for a TV show I work on. Wanted something not too expensive(I specified that my budget was $ 50 – 75), very colorful, and no roses. Got just that, except I regret telling them my budget because they ended up charging me exactly $ 75! I feel like I could have the same arrangement done for $ 50 if I had said that was my limit. Oh well, it wasn’t my money, but if you do go here, just make sure to shoot low with how much you’re wanting to spend on something that you’re having made for you. Anyhow, the guy who worked with me there was really nice and I would totally go here again for a gift for someone. They take credit cards too.

Greenpoint Florist did a great job with the flowers for my wedding. They were beautiful, fresh, and very nicely arranged. The price was very reasonable for a florist in the area, and the quality was great. I thought the Church arrangement was really boring, but it filled the prescription, so oh well. The table flowers were lovely, and the bouquets and boutonnieres for everyone were gorgeous. Just as a note — Nick, the guy you usually talk to at Greenpoint, requires face to face communication. You can email and phone to chat, but you’re going to have to physically stop by a couple times to firm stuff up. It’s just how he operates. He’s very charming and professional, and does a great job.
