Great place to drink outside with a group. Indoor seating available as well. Food: many beers on tap, I love the«sour of the moment» selections. Also have some frozen cocktails. Limited but decent selection of bar/bbq food(hotdogs, pretzels, nachos, guacamole, etc) Pitfalls: cash only(ATM available onsite), children are allowed(could be a plus I suppose, but gets weird as the night goes on– I think they stop allowing kids in at some point), as an outdoor place– smokers are rampant Unisex bathroom– spacious though, I think it’s cool Some outdoor games available

Great place, ambiance, and beautiful outdoor. Came to watch the soccer games. Service for food can take a long time. Food is not amazing but I am giving it 5 stars for the place and not too much for the food. You don’t come here for the food, you come here for drinks and beers.

Cash only! Have an ATM that was tempermental… wasnt sure if I was going to be able to withdraw money, as it took a few attempts after getting errors. The overall crowd seems cool and there were actually a lot of kids. They have bocce ball, corn hole, and some pretty good chicken wings. Beers were average price($ 5-$ 8). Lots of outdoor seating that is great for groups and TVs playing sports.

Perfect for meetings with a group of friends. I really enjoy loud ambience, jokes with friends in a hot summer night, sipping a cold beer while sitting outdoors. Spiked lemonade is a must try! The food is so-so, and definitely over priced. but HEY — it’s a beer garden — not a restaurant! It’s a little annoying that everyone must show ID before going in(even during the day) meanwhile I’ve seen a lot of children allowed to come in with their parents. If you get bored, you can rent«Jenga» or some other games for free(you’re only required to leave your ID at your register and get it back upon returning the game).

I’ve been playing on a bocce league here for 3 years(collectively about 9 seasons) It’s a great spot. Drink specials for bocce players, but not unreasonable for everyone else either(cash only — ATMs available) Honey Sriracha wings are to DIE for, seriously get them. The shrimp salad special needs to be added to the menu permanently; grilled shrimp, mixed greens, ginger champagne dressing. Simply divine. Good spot for groups, plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Outside bar in the warmer months, outside tvs are a plus too.

Came here for a beer event a couple weeks ago. Somewhat of a hike from my work in midtown but it was well worth it. Unfortunately for us, it was a little cold out, so we didn’t get to experience these bocce courts and outdoor area raves about. Definitely will be a place I look forward to visiting this summer. It’s cash only so be prepared for that. The inside of the bar is very nice and bartenders were knowledgable about the beer event. Brooklyn is king for beer bars and that’s why this is a great place if that’s what you’re into.

Super cute place! Was able to hang around outside with some friends. Good was delicious, but to be totally honest, all the kids there make it a little weird. Otherwise snacks and vibes are enjoyable!

Greenwood is a cool bar with a spacious outdoor area. The outdoor space has three bocce ball lanes, corn hole, outdoor bars, and plenty of seating with heaters. It was one of the most impressive outdoor spaces I’ve seen at a Brooklyn bar. Greenwood boasts about two dozen craft beer options including many local options from breweries like Barrier, Brooklyn Brewery, LIC Beer Project, and others. One of the unusual features of the venue was a co-ed bathroom. It was unusual, yet it seemed like everyone was able to share the space in harmony. I think it’s a good idea to help balance out bathroom traffic flow at bars.

Greenwood Park is CASHONLY. Not a criticism at all, just know this before you go. We had a pretty good time at this spacious beer hall yesterday. It had snowed earlier in the day so there was no way we could sit outside on the ample, spacious bier-hall style benches. They looked really fun, though. When we arrived on the chilly February evening, I was happy to see a fireplace burning. It kept us warm and whimsical. But they shut the fireplace off around 8pm, even though the spot wasn’t terribly crowded and that made the place ffff-freezing. The music was depressing, pessimistic rock. More upbeat tunes would have given the place a better energy. The white bartender with thick hair was a fun gentlemen who was generous with samples and information about the drinks. Happy hour saves you $ 2 on all drafts, wine and cocktails M-F until 7pm.

Popped into Greenwood Park just the other afternoon after doing a little browsing at the Retrofret Vintage Guitar shop as we were craving some food and a couple of cold beers. This beer garden had been on the radar for one of our party so we decided to check it out. The day was still rather warm and while the option was there to sit outside under the sun or under a tented space, we went inside towards the bar and just enjoyed that as our landing place. Foodwise there are plenty of options and all of us got the signature burger which was very tasty. No onion for me though since they do my stomach in and I suggested one of the large pretzels to share across us all since I wanted to sample it. The burger was great and had some nice taste to it being cooked to perfection but I felt the pretzel was way too dry and hard to chew. This should be a lot easier to offer up. Beerwise we also kept it simple and ordered a couple of pitchers of Naraganset which is a tasty brew. The staff was friendly and our orders arrived quickly. The place is cash only so be aware of that if you are hoping to secure points on your credit card account like I am always doing. The crowd seemed varied at this part of the day with the moms out with their friends or the college level student friends catching up while still on break and varied worker sorts who were done for the day and enjoying the televised game and a few cold ones. There is free WiFi which I always like since it lets me jot down notes along with Foodspotting and Instagraming but the space itself is a tad out of the way for me to frequent more regularly. This was nice but I cannot say when I will be here again. Don’t let that stop you I am just closer to numerous other options. Good time was had by all and that is all that counts at the end of the day.

This place is always a good time. I’ve had my birthday party here a couple of years in a row now and it’s great. The outdoor space is perfect for a nice summers day. There’s bocce ball which is very fun after a few drinks. The spiked ice tea lemonade is yummy!

Fun beer garden with indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is open air too, so its great for the summer. On Tuesdays. the drinks are buy one get one free. The bartender is supposed to give you something that looks like coins so that you can redeem your free drink. Guess what? He did not give it to us until we asked. MINUSONESTAR! If you like to smoke, sit outside. The best part is that they have Bocci ball. I didn’t even know what it was, but I found an undiscovered talent. Slight drunkeness + experience from playing beer pong(yes I was a sorority girl) = Bocci master. Oh they also have a good selection of beer and had one type of cider as well.

Any business that has ample bike rack space out front gets an extra star from me! So this place should have 6 stars. Bike racks are what free wi-fi was 10 years ago. Offer it, and more people will come. Simple. Was here briefly during a weekday, so I didn’t have to deal with any crowds at all. The bartender Andy was super nice, friendly and helpful. There is ample seating, and cool Bocce ball courts to play. I just like the industrial feel of the design of this place and the quiet of the neighborhood. Overall a very nice experience.

Love this venue! You can’t go wrong with lots of outdoor seating, a huge air-conditioned bar open to the outdoors, and a section devoted to bocce/cornhole. The beer selection is very generous with lots of rotating local and unusual choices. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. It’s cool that this is the kind of place where kids and non-drinkers feel welcome too. The only thing holding them back from five stars was the food(pretzel was barely edible, squeezy cheese instead of real cheese).

Great space — plenty of seating area for small and large groups. Beer is served in plastic cups and is a little bit over-priced. Cash only. Expect a wait at the outdoor bars on the weekend, usually on one bartender catering to long lines of people. The food is okay, but comes out fast through a surprisingly organized process. Bathrooms could use some more routine cleaning and smell horrible. Oh, and… tons of kids running around.

We stumbled across Greenwood Park last summer and it had been recommended to us by some friends. All my experiences have been pretty favorable. It’s a great place for summer daytime drinking except the fact that the place is very kid friendly. I believe kids are allowed until about 6 or 7pm. My friend and I stopped by last week on an incredibly warm afternoon and there were at least 5 or 6 little kids running around outside having the time of their lives. They weren’t bothering us but if you come by during the afternoon you’ve been warned. The food is pretty solid. I ordered a burger and fries. My friend ordered some type of salad that looked like it was screaming for more salad dressing but she didn’t complain. This place gets very crowded on weekend evenings causing a very very crowded bar area. It can take a while to get a drink but I guess that’s to be expected with so many people. There’s also a guy posted up outside checking IDs after a certain time which can be kind of a turn off. Overall, if you’re looking for nice spot for some outdoor drinking Greenwood Park is worth a try.
