History

Established in 2010.

Honey & Hazel sells stylish and affordable jewelry, accessories, home décor, and other gifts «homegrown in Brooklyn.» Located in the space formerly known as Brooklynski and featuring many of the same designers and products, the store boasts a large selection of goods including vintage mirrors and furniture which rotate as display until they are sold.

A brief history of Brooklynski (now Honey & Hazel):

Brooklynski first opened its doors at 145 Driggs Avenue in Greenpoint in 2007. Following the sale of the building of the original location, in the summer of 2008, Brooklynski relocated to a new home at 351 Graham Avenue (formerly occupied by Mikey’s Hook Up), and was welcomed warmly by its neighbors. The new location played a big part in expanding the store’s offering of products made by local designers. Honey & Hazel has continued Brooklynski’s efforts to offer local artists exposure to the community and online to a greater audience.

Very cute little store with a lot of very cute little things. They didn’t say hi to me either when I walked in but sometimes I like to be left alone and they are RIGHT there so you kind of don’t mind it… knowing that really if you had a question you could speak quietly over your shoulder and they’d probably hear it. They also are always talking to customers every time I’ve gone in so at least I know they’re friendly if I do feel like striking up a convo.
I’ve spotted a few things here I’ve thought were great but had intimidating price tags but I’ve also spotted quite a few pieces of jewelry and other knick knacks I thought were a bargain. All in all if you need to get someone in your life a gift it’s not a bad place to start. Especially if that someone lives in brooklyn or the east village, has a bike and listens to indie rock music and tends to like urban outfitter style stuff.
Really close to graham ave L train stop and super convenient if you live in the neighborhood. :)

Attention Shopowners and Salesfolk–
A simple HELLO or an acknowledgement would dramatically increase the probability of sales. I walked in and had to listen to the 2 ladies talking about My So-​Called Life… I had to say «hello!!!» before they did… It does not inspire me to ever return. On a lighter note, after I said hello, one of the girls finally said «let me know if I can help you with anything» as her friend chatted on about some retro 90’s dress she bought for $ 5.

Awesome hip spot for gifts, home décor, and jewelry in Williamsburg. Love the focus on local designers. You can find really sweet items at many different price points and they’ll even gift wrap. Worth the trek to Graham Ave. if you’re not already in the ‘hood. Great local biz to support and cheer on.

This is the première spot in the area to buy awesome candles. And its a shame how much I like awesome candles because I also like having disposable income, but because of this store I think the candles are going to have to win.

I just have to write about my favorite Graham ave shops and with this weather I figured I’d get down to business. This quaint shop is perfect for unique gifts. I love that they feature and support local artists and vendors. Great addition to my hood. Oh Graham ave I love you. Just don’t become like Bedford.

I miss the days when they were called Brooklynskie but I’m very happy that they stayed exactly the same through the name change. Awesome gifts, locally made products and quality jewelry. My go-​to spot for special presents. The staff is always helpful and attentive without being annoying. Check out the sale table by the front door — there are usually some decent deals to be had.

Guys, this is hands down THE best spot to grab a gift for your girlfriend/​mom/​sister. Jewelry, candles, journals, and fun stuff from cool local designers (a big plus!). Customer service was amazing. She helped me pick out a necklace and gift wrapped it for me. This is my go-​to gift spot. Period.

I headed up to Graham Avenue the other day to meet up with an old friend. I decided to go a little earlier than our planned meeting time so I could check out some shops. I was searching for a birthday present for my best friend and wanted to get her a little piece of New York (since she’s never been).
First place I popped into was Honey & Hazel, an adorable little boutique hosting Brooklyn-​made jewelry and gifts. While I didn’t find the perfect gift, I did find the perfect card. They had a collection of Offensive+Delightful cards, of which I bought 3.
The whole place was very cute and had some really interesting/​quirky inventory… however, the prices were a bit steep — especially the jewelry. I realize that it’s all locally made and the prices are high to support local art, but it’s just not in my budget to drop $ 100+ on a cute ring or $ 300 on a fun necklace.
Definitely a great place for funky gifts and/​or cards — just watch those price tags!

Def unique jewelry, and you’re gonna pay for it.
Lots of 2 – 3 finger rings with vampire fangs, a row of golden puppies, and other assorted nonsense. Amazing life sized cicada rings. Mini brass knuckles on rosary bead style necklaces.
If you’re in the area definitely check it out. I left with 2 cards as I couldn’t justify buying several $ 80-​$ 120 rings I didn’t need.
I would frequent this shop for gifts if I lived in the area.

I just discovered this gem! It’s a true giftshop, it is the perfectly curated place to find a unique present for anyone. When I was there a woman walked in not knowing exactly what to get her friend, then she found a gold pizza slice charm on a thin cahin and it became clear that it was the perfect gift she had been looking for. I“m sure stuff like this happens all the time at Honey & Hazel. The shop owner is really nice and works with local designers so each piece is unique and many times handmade– i’m a sucker for handmade goods. Go check it out!

Lots of great clothing, jewelry, and interior décor items. The staff is super friendly and helpful. 99% of the items in their store are made by local artists. The only things I wouldn’t get are the candles, which is a shame because I love candles. They were way over-​priced and I don’t think they are made locally. Definitely a great place to shop!

Everything here is worth taking a look at, however not everything here is worth buying. I think that pretty much sums this place up. I’d buy this entire store if I had the means, but until then I’ll save it for my spontaneous retail therapy emergency sprees.

Great place to stop in a buy jewelry and gifts. I always stop in when I need a birthday gift for a girlfriend. The staff is super helpful and have great relationships with local artists. Highly recommend for a unique gift that is made by a real artist and not somewhere in China!

a lot of the things that are sold here can be had other places for much less.

Totally cute new store on Graham, with well edited gift options and a very helpful and friendly staff. I’m really glad to see it come into the area and continue our improving shopping options. The little necklace with the silhouette of owl I purchased has been a mad hit with friends, and was incredibly well priced in comparison to other boutiques in the Wburg/​Greenpoint area.

This place is a cute little spot right on Graham avenue. We don’t have as many gifty stores over here as the Northside does, so i was happy to take a look around. They carry delicious Kobo candles and beautiful stationery — perfect for a last minute card or gift for any occasion.

Located on an unimposing stretch of Driggs, this little shop is a delightful surprise. The owners are a Polish-​American couple who (see the name) clearly have fun tweaking the Little Warsaw vibe of the neighborhood. This is one of the first truly upmarket spots in this part of Greenpoint, and it’s a wonderful start: a well-​edited selection of gift and decorative items — candles, art, stationery etc. — pricey but very appealing. Every time I’ve gone the most darling red-​haired gal has been working — I’m sure the same one Stacy G mentions — and she does indeed make the experience pleasant and pressure-​free (important in a shop this small!)
They carry one line of very affordable jewelry that I’m hooked on: a Texas designer who works with found objects. So far I’ve bought, for myself, a little needlepoint cocktail ring ($ 18, I think), a pendant necklace made from a vintage brooch and several very successful gifts. Thanks, Brooklynski!

LOVE this sweet little store. Pretty stationary, gifts, candles, bags, baby and kid things, cute accessories, jewelry, wall art. There’s nothing in there that I don’t like and haven’t wanted to buy. There is a most lovely woman that works on most weekdays, I think, and she makes the shopping and browsing experience that much more enjoyable.
