Excessively long lines make banking here extremely difficult.

This is the worst branch ever! You can go any day of the week and there is ALWAYS a long line. There are 1 or 2 tellers that work there and there is no separate line for premier or business banking, Just ONE LONG LINE every time. Its ridiculous. Its not like this at other branches and I don’t have any issues with HSBC itself. There is a huge variety of banks on Montague st. I’m going to switch for convenience. They need to get with the program. All banks are advocating the use of ATMS, online banking, and other forms to make banking easy. No other bank anywhere has such long lines to speak with a teller. And the area where the ATMS are stink like garbage. The garbage cans are always overflowing with trash.

They should consider changing there slogan from HSBC the worlds local bank to HSBC the worlds worst bank. They called me 2 weeks ago to tell me there was a fraudulent charge on my bank account and that they were going to close my card and issue me a new one. Fine great so maybe there not completely incompetent!.WRONG!!! would of been fine if they had actually did so a week went by and i still had no debit card. I called and ended up spending 2 hrs on the phone had to explain my story three times before i was actually helped for them to inform me they did not issue me a new card because they had no record of the incident… then changed there story to oh we cant locate you card number after yelling at them i asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was a glitching error he said i would have a card rushed to me and would receive it in four days it has been four days and i have yet to receive the card i opened up an account with chase this past Monday and i was given a debit card on the spot, not to mention i have already received my credit card in the mail. That is RIDICULOUS… the second my direct deposit is changed over i am dumping this bank like a bad habit. This has been some of the worst customer service i have ever experienced and in 2015 it should not take over two weeks to issue a customer a new debit card. FOR THE RECORD THAT ONE STAR WOULD NOT EVEN BE THERE IF Unilocal DIDN’T FORCE ME TO PUT IT IN, IN ORDER TO POST.

Now I’m not talking about this branch specifically, but rather on the company as a whole. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK! There customer service is beyond terrible (especially over the phone) which is the main reason why I even created one of these Unilocal accounts. I have had problems with them from closing my account randomly without notifying me to actually STEALING unauthorized payments from my account that they try to tell me «they could not do anything about.» BEYOND RIDICULOUS. Need a check to go into your account directly? Best believe you’ll be waiting about a week before you see that check into your account. This bank company is slow and as I’ve noticed never know what the hell they’re talking about or doing.

what can I say its a bank. I only accompany people hear to use the ATM on my way to lunch or dinner. As long as the money comes out of the machine whats there to complain about. It’s not my bank I personally use a credit union.

if you like waiting in line forever then this is the bank for you.
there is always a line there and very few tellers. one lady was
there for a half hour doing her banking, while we all waited.

I opened an account here and the staff was the must helpful.
All the information they provided was up to par, the service was above and beyond, and the account never had issues. Had the banking policy not changed I would have retained my business with them.
