IMail and More

Had a horrible experience here. Was just trying to print 1 sheet of paper and this place has no system in place for convenient printing. The staff was incompetent and rude (the man working when I went in was named Calvin). They have 2 options for printing– either pay $ 5 to email them a file or pay a minimum of $ 2 to use the computer to print out. This doesn’t even cover the cost of the actual printing. I brought my file on a USB drive expecting that Calvin could just plug it into his computer at the register and print it out. Nope– not allowed, apparently. I explained that I’m just trying to print 1 page from a website– so how about I give him the URL, then he can pull it up on a web browser and print it out? Nope, again. We went back and forth for a while and I was so fed up I finally just decided to pay to use the computer. For some reason the PDF file on my USB wouldn’t open on the computer and the Internet access was so slow that it took forever to pull up the web page. Everything could have been so much easier if this lousy business was not so preoccupied with making an additional $ 2 that it might actually put in a bit of effort to give its customers a good experience. All of this hassle for 1 page… I will never be back. If you ever need to print anything please save yourself the hassle and just get a library card or walk the extra 15 minutes to UPS.

Very nice people but absolutely not reliable. Unfortunately I do not recommend using them for anything important.

I thought the post office was bad…
The service here is consistently terrible, with teenaged employees more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. Maybe this would be okay if shipping and printing was a good deal here, but unfortunately the prices are exorbitant. I have been charged 50 cents for printing a single black and white sheet and $ 10 for shipping a thick envelope (I have since printed postage for similar packages online for about $ 3 each). I have gone here multiple times to print something out since I live really nearby, but at this point I am so sick of the rude service and ridiculous prices that I will not be going here any more.

Let me start by saying the place was clean… As far as the service… I won’t return!!! The service was minimal, it seem one of the workers was more interested in removing her nail acrylic then assisting me with their equipment. Maybe because they charge you by the minute for being on it. The cost wasn’t the issue… Lack of attention when I’m patronizing your business IS!!! #WONTRETURN

We have had a very positive experience using I Mail & More as a package receiving service, and to ship things. We don’t have a doorman and aren’t usually home during the day, so it is wonderful to have a place so close by where we can pick up packages after work and on Saturdays. (They aren’t open Sunday.) We’ve used another service before that was farther away and charged per package, but this place is closer to us and is a flat rate for a mailbox for a whole year, plus they don’t charge extra if you can’t pick up your packages right away.
I’ve also gone there to ship a USPS package, which was so much faster than going to the post office and waiting in line, and it went very smoothly.
Everybody that works there is also friendly and helpful. Overall, we are so happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

The lady at the counter was friendly and spontaneously came to help me. She took time to ensure that the pictures i was scanning would come out perfectly. Only paid 1 $ for the job. The place is easy to find and opens early.

Very highly caution everyone to NOT use this business. A friend of mine left a laptop at my house and I had to overnight FedEX it, and I used this place. The cost of the overnight rate was $ 270.91. They charged this amount on my credit card twice, and after discussing with my bank, I contacted the manager and asked that it be refunded. She said it might take a few days but they would call when it was handled.
I contacted the manager of the store, Allie (not sure about spelling), again this past week to check on the refund since I’d not heard anything, and she said they had contacted the company that handles their credit card transactions and they were waiting on a letter from that credit card company to issue my refund… and she said, quote, «We have a lot of problems with them sometimes.»
That is just plain and simply a runaround and an attempt to keep an extra $ 270.91. ANY legitimate business can simply issue the refund when they see the mistake. I’ve had to open an official dispute with my credit card company, and no telling when it will be resolved.
If you use this business, DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD. This almost sounds like a scam, or at least severe incompetence.

This is by far the worst experience I have had here. I just walked out to my car and dealt with the two nastiest young ladies. Both have attitudes and act as if you are inconveniencing them when asked questions. I’m very disappointed and will only be returning if absolutely necessary and I strongly suggest you do the same.

Basically you go here to do one of three things. 1) mail some junk you just sold on eBay. 2) get your gigantic packages delivered from Amazon because your land lord is a shit and can’t get your packages to you right. 3) print something because you don’t have a printer.
⁹⁄₁₀ people in here who are jamming the line or complaining about this place on Unilocal are A) trying to re-​launch the space shuttle via a iMail employee, B) send something to Denmark (via notary public) or C) ask ten thousand stupid questions, ie ‘why is the sky blue’ ‘why is water wet’
Overall: take it easy in here it’s not that complicated & the service is good enough (and friendly too) and don’t even think about showing up on Sunday’s cuz they are closed

Months ago this place was run by one middle age guy, who hummed while he worked and was incredibly pleasant to do business with. I specifically went here because the USPS makes me want to burn down buildings. I liked this guy. Sure, the prices are a bit inflated, but the stress level went down when mailing a package.
Unfortunately, the golden days are over.
The past month or so there’s a group of young kids running the show. And while I think it’s great that they’re getting some work experience, they are useless. No idea how to solve a problem, figure out simple math, help you send a package. There’s always like 4 kids there— not a single one knows what the hell they’re doing.
Back to the days of waiting in line for 45 minutes at the post office I guess. Sorry, kids. I enjoyed the rap music that seemed to be the focus of I Mail & More more than helping me send a Fed Ex package. Jesus, I couldn’t even buy postage to send a letter last time I was there. Good thing you have a café!
UPDATE: today I went to this place to Fed Ex a letter across the country. Standard overnight. The lady behind the counter: «$ 121.00 or $ 101.00 flat rate.»
The girl at the Fed Ex a block away on Bedford: «$ 49.00.»

ZERO stars. I came in here to ship a box to California and they charged me TWICE (nearly $ 50) and 17 days later, I still haven’t spoken or seen someone that has any authority to give me a refund. I went in twice personally and called about 5 times. I personally left a message for the owner and never got called back. What a waste of time… I skipped the post office to give my business to this local shop because I try my best to support neighborhood shops, but this is very frustrating and disappointing. Finally after giving them the benefit of the doubt for 17 whole days, I reported the FRAUDULENT charge to my bank and they issued me a credit, so the bank will be disputing the FRAUDULENT charge, thankfully, because I’m done with them. So, IF you must go, pay cash, or else. But I really recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Also, I should mention that I came here a few months back to get passport photos and the passport agency rejected them because they were not taken properly. So don’t go there for passport photos either! PS. I never complained to them about this because it was «only» $ 16, but I wouldn’t risk getting useless passport photos.

Everything I needed.
I went in on a Friday afternoon. I was immediately able to drop my files on to a computer and print out 25 different pages to their nice color printer. The whole thing cost me less than $ 20 too.
Staff was friendly and helpful and knew what they were doing.
Finally, a good mailing/​printing place in the neighborhood.

Took over an hour to send a fed ex package and now I just found out that the package is stuck because of ‘improper paperwork’ what a joke.

I love this place! So glad they moved into the neighborhood

The gentlemen who helped me were very polite, quick, and helpful. I watched them go out to a woman’s car and help her unload her boxes as well.
So much easier than making the trek to the local USPS. Super fast/​easy/​pleasant.

My colleague and I came to the store to get two pieces of mail delivered. We needed packaging to cover the two pieces, so we were trying out the envelopes in the store. One of the employees accompanied us while we were doing this, and let us put our items in the envelopes to see if they were a good fit or not.
One of the envelopes we were trying out ripped on the corners because the material was not that strong. It ripped by accident, and not on purpose. To our surprise, the employee at I Mail made us purchase the damaged envelope. Being a business owner myself, and coming for a family of business owners, this was a shock. If a customer damages a product by accident, you damage it out. It is simply the cost of doing business because items in your store get damaged or become unsellable by accident often.
The employee in I Mail insisted that we buy the damaged envelope that we can’t even use. I was even more shocked that he was so persistent over a $ 3 envelope. It made our shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say, I will be advising my office to go to other mailing locations in the area and not coming back.

I Mail & More didn’t initially pop up on my Unilocal or google search when looking for a place nearby to ship packages. On my way over to the Sandbox on Myrtle (a 20 minute walk from my apartment) I passed this storefront and was so relieved!
They offer Fedex and DHL, but not UPS. You can drop off pre-​paid USPS packages for $ 1 each, not too bad and definitely worth skipping a trip to the post office. There are a good amount of shipping supplies (tape, boxes, padding), as well as office supplies for sale. Internet access, printing, and copying are available, and there seemed to be a café but it was closed at the time.
Clean and well organized inside, and service was friendly and quick!

Mail and more is one of the most useful new businesses in Bed-​Stuy. If you don’t live near the C train (like a lot of us G dwelling Brooklynites), there is NO post office anywhere to be found. On a snowy day the mile walk to the post office is no fun at all. This place saves us a long trip, and man do we appreciate it!
The best part about it though is the staff, they are 100% more friendly than the guys over at post office. The folks over at the USPS, well let’s just say their not always too happy to see you… not here! They welcome you with a smile, and are super helpful!

SOOO happy this place opened here! The other mail place down the street (The Mailroom Store) is ridiculously priced and super slow. I almost trekked to Williamsburg or Manhattan today to fulfill my shipping needs.
They’re full service here (USPS, FedEx and DHL) with lots of supplies, but best of all, the service is fast and friendly!
