Joe’s Pizza

Barely edible, at least at this location. In the store, a plain cheese slice tasted doused with sugar. For delivery, there was some type of hard black substance baked into the pizza. No idea what it was.

2÷4÷16 Went in today to place an advance order/​pay for my son’s party. Joe (the grandson) was super nice! The whole process was quick and easy! One less thing for me to worry about esp when he said I didn’t need to even call to remind them! Amazing!
Who doesn’t love a slice from Joe’s?! If you don’t then there must be something wrong with your tastebuds & your head. Hands down the best pizza in NY.
Now besides for their delish slices; this review is about customer service. I had called earlier in the day but there was a language barrier between the person who I spoke to and myself. Even then he tried his best to help. But I still had a few questions. I emailed them via Unilocal; I knew they would respond but unsure how long it’ll take. Not only did Ian (owner) responded right away (like an hour maybe 2 at most). He also answered every single question I had. He was never rude or short in responses (like many other pizza joints around here esp the mom and pop shops). He was extremely detailed and accommodating. The customer service here is class A.
I’m thrilled to serve my guests slices from Joe’s & I’m sure the kids will love it!

Good pizza. My slice is a little bit on the thin side and I wish there was a little more cheese under my mushroom slice but overall good. It was a good place to stop after having a few drinks for a quick bite to eat.

I was really happy when I figured out Joe’s Pizza had a location in Williamsburg open late. So with this one and the one in Union Square… Ive been to 2 out of 3 locations!!! Got to hit up that last spot.
Pizza is always good. I go between a regular slice and fresh mozzarella when I visit. Sometimes both to get the different flavors!

You order a pie with all the toppings… and the damn thing is done right!
Like no other pizza shop I’ve ordered from!
No complaints about Joe’s from me. Pizza toppings don’t seem to be canned. this is the real deal. Joe’s is my go to from now on!

Good pizza here not the best pizza I ve had but it satisfies when you are hungry at midnight and looking for a place to eat lunch

Sicilian slice had nice melted cheese and the sauce was pretty alright. The slice I got was a bit soft as I usually like a little crunch but really good to stop in for a quick bite.

After my first set of friends suggested a terrible pizza place PROMISING it would be a New York style slice, I was very wary of asking anyone else for pizza suggestions. I was jaded and heart broken, completely betrayed and tricked into eating the worst slice of pizza in my life.
After spending a lovely morning with a good friend in Brooklyn she suggested Joe’s. She promised me it would be amazing, so I decided to trust her and I’m so glad I did.
This was a gigantic slice of cheese pizza. The crust was so crispy, I folded my pizza in half and took a bite. I think angels started singing, I might have started crying. I can’t really recall, I just finally understood why New Yorkers rave about their pizza: it truly is superior.
The cheese was melted and messy, the crust chewy and flavorful. The sauce was unlike any other sauce I’ve ever had. The pizza was piping hot, I’m sure I burned the entire roof of my mouth, I didn’t care, I couldn’t stop eating the pizza.
I am very sad though that now pizza has been spoiled for me as there’s only a couple restaurants back home that offer anything close to this slice.

The first time I went here i was drunk, and I spent 30 minutes going on and on about how ridiculously good Joe’s Pizza was. So THEN, I came back a second time completely SOBER, just to test it out again with the right state of mind and taste buds and guess what, STILL amazing.
I LOVE Joe’s Pizza. After visiting New York Lovin’ City so many times and then finally moving here, I still had yet to find a pizza joint that lived up to the «New York City Pizza Hype». Finally, Joe’s pizza raised the ever so hopeful bar for me! The classic pepperoni pizza is DELISH. I’m still trying to pinpoint what it is, the water in the dough? The thin but crispy crust? or is it the cheese that oozes and strings off connecting the pizza in your mouth to the uneaten one in your hands (uhm, YUM?). Either way, I can’t wait until the next time I’m eating Joe’s Pizza again.

The quintessential New York City slice. Just the right amount of fold. Perfect balance of flavor between crust, cheese and sauce. Cheap ($ 2.75) slices. No-​frills dining room. What else do you need?

Very good, very authentic. Lots of pepperoni on the pepperoni slice. The crust is not too wide, meaning more pizza to enjoy. The supreme feels a but over-​priced at 4.75/slice.

Delish pies! My favorite was the cheese and pepporoni. Simple yet tasty. Cash only. ATM machine was out of order when I was there though. Hopefully that gets fixed.

My favorite place to PMS binge. Really.
Pizza is that perfect authentic NY kinda stuff you can’t live without those times of the month you wish so many people would just leave you the fuck alone. And they will if you sit outside the place with the greesy stuff dripping down your chin when you bite into the crust. shamelessly

1 star for answering your phone. Delivery estimate 30 mins. Actual delivery = ?
I’ve been waiting over an hour at this point. At least you answer your phone… if not to be rude and patronizing and say you’re really busy today.
If that’s the case, update your delivery estimate (on Seamless). There are at least 4 other pizza joints in the area that I could have called but I decided on Joe’s because of it’s 30 min delivery time. At this rate I could have walked up the block, gotten a slice and been finished with it.
Like I said… 1 star for at least answering your phone.

Fresh mozzarella slice was a well-​spent $ 3.50 (cash only). Same efficient service and solid product as the other locations of this quickly expanded classic NY brand. FYI as of this review their
hours are shot.

Solid pizza slice. The ricotta pizza is really good, make sure there’s enough on your specific slice. Crispy and pretty fresh. 4 $ a specialty slice. 3 or 3.50 for regular. Meh.

Joes does it again! I was ecstatic to hear the news but actually having a great slice of pizza in the Williamsburg neighborhood is a huge win. The taste is the same at the Manhattan locations (maybe a bit better even). The cheese is fresh and the sauce is delicious. It’s perfectly crispy and a great location for a quick bite. Considering so many legendary spots are closing in this neighborhood, I am happy to see this one open.

Joe’s Pizza from Bleecker Street has scored a prime location on Beford Street in Wiliamsburg, upping up the ante for some of the local pizza joints. It’s the same thin crust slice you will find in Manhattan, a little thin on the cheese and sauce ratio to score 5 stars on my part. Still it’s tasty and for some reason, I think more tastier than the pies usually churned out at Bleecker Street. The crust when I went was crackling and crispy, not soft like I sometimes get in Manhattan. It’s a quick slice, and in a new space that albeit small, with 11 stools, and a bench outside, is clean and close to the L train.
