I didn’t have to wait too long in the waiting room, but the doctor filled out the insurance claim form and asked questions about my insurance and deductible, which took unnecessary time and made me feel like he cared more about the money. He has assistants so why not let then handle that? Otherwise he was able to correctly diagnose my concern, BUT I felt like he made unnecessary and unrelated tests to get more money. His tools are antique, but they seem to be working well.
UPDATE: one of the unnecessary lab test was not covered at all by my private insurance and the Dr wanted to see me back in the office to see how I was doing and charged another visit. I’ll try to find another more honest MD who is not just after money.
I still give him 2 stars for the correct diagnostic.

I had no problem making an appointment at Dr. Kaiser’s office, his secretary was quite pleasant & helpful taking my health insurance information. My visit was excellent. I was greeted warmly by Dr. Kaiser and he professionally administered my full check up. Yes he did in fact take a couple of calls on his cell phone but he apologized and excused himself for a brief amount of time. I found this normal and acceptable as he is the only person on staff at his practice. He was very engaging and my overall visit was great, I plan on making him my permanent doctors for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been very impressed with Dr Kaiser. He gives you the time of day, focuses on the issue at hand, and takes the time to get to know you. A doctor with such pristine bed side manner truly makes the visit a nice experience. His schedule runs on time and I didn’t need to sit around waiting, I appreciate this since at many other doctors this is not the case. I’m glad I found Dr Kaiser on ZocDoc.

Wow. This guy is operating a factory for insurance billing. I went because he is close and on my insurer’s list.
I am attuned to architectural design and what that says about a company. I walk in to the residential building housing the office. There is no reception, just an open room. I open the other door, it is right to the doctor’s desk, he is talking with a patient, oh.
In the waiting room I can hear the entire conversation between the doctor and patient.
When my turn came he gives me every unnecessary test quickly, in between taking phone calls. One caller asked about her test results, he went to find them. In the middle of my procedure, phone on shoulder, reading open folder in front of me, he tells the patient all is fine. I made a note to ask details when I call.
Rushed, no care, no concern. Why doesn’t he have a receptionist? Why is this man in the doctor business?

Dr. Kaiser feels like a comfortable regular doctor. I like not having to go to a giant ammonia-​scented white tower to get a checkup or a prescription for antibiotics. If you have a serious problem, he can refer you to one of those.
Yes, he takes phone calls himself, when he is at home, and when he is with a patient. When you have an emergency, you are going to appreciate that. When you are in an appointment with him, it is a slight annoyance. Remember your emergency self and have patience.
He did a thorough first check-​up, including a hearing test, and did a test to check about a rare possibility from a strange result (low blood pressure, I’m fine, maybe just exercise too much and eat too little salt.)

Dr. Kaiser is a fine doctor. He takes all phone calls directly, so he might be with you and he will continue to answer his phone.
I think that is fine, cause this way he is available to his patients all the time. He does not rush you, is a good listener and gives sound advice.
Overall I will recommend him highly.

This doctor’s office was horrible. I wish I could give him a negative rating. I had high hopes at first because it was a private practice ridiculously close to my house with only one doctor so I thought that I would get some serious one on one attention. Not the case AT ALL.
First– Dr. Kaiser took 3 phone calls on his cell phone while doing my physical. Not even apologizing when he came back. I don’t think he looked in my eyes once. And he was rushing himself so much that he tried to give me a hearing test and check my blood pressure twice through out my physical. He forgot that he had done it in the first place.
Second– I think the assistants were even worse. Again, they didn’t look me in the eye OR introduce themselves. One of the assistants was new and being trained by the other girl. Nobody explained that to me-​I just figured it out by how they were talking to each other (and talking about me while I was 2 inches away from them.) They did an EKG on me. I’ve never had an EKG before and no one explained what was going to happen. They asked me to undress from the waist up but didn’t even leave the office. I’ve NEVER been to any kind of doctor where they asked me to undress and had someone in the room while I did so. So I was uncomfortable and at this point really pissed off.
I laid down on the table and they stuck all these things to me. Putting their hands on my breasts without even giving me a heads up! Then leaving me exposed after they were done putting the pads on me. I ended up having to cover my own self up. Because I was so pissed the first test didn’t go so well. The trainer assistant told the new girl «oh she’s probably just nervous. Tell the patient to calm down and do the test again.» This woman was so close to me I wouldn’t even have had to straighten out my arm completely to touch her yet she was talking about me like I wasn’t in the same room. The trainee did as she was told, turned around and said «calm down, we’re doing the test again.»
Somehow the second test went better.
I had told Dr. Kaiser that I was having shoulder pain the past 6 months. He didn’t even question the pain just automatically referred me to an orthopedic doctor. I paid my co-​pay and left. Not without telling the new assistant how I felt about their horrible service first. I tried to be as calm and neutral about it as possbile because I don’t believe in being rude. But I do believe in good ol’ customer service and this doctor and his assistants have none at all. You are just a paycheck walking through the door for them. Hopefully this improves!!!
