Five star services all the way!!! Katje was just such a pleasure to work with. We used her services for our elopement and we can’t say enough great things about her! She was so professional but not stiff she made us feel at ease and was able to suggest some great photo backgrounds. I felt that she cared about our photos as much as she would care for her own which is very important. All in all… I would certainly recommend her to anyone who asks for a good photographer without question she is the best!

We used Kat for our wedding and she did an outstanding job. Many of our guests commented on how great our photographer was at the wedding. Immediately after meeting Kat, we knew she was the one to photograph our wedding. She’s incredibly friendly and professional with a creative eye that turns out amazing pictures! Originally we were set to get married in DUMBO on 8÷27÷11, but were forced to turn our rehearsal dinner on 8÷26÷11 in the Village in to our actual wedding because of Hurricane Irene.
We ended up having pictures taken in Washing Square Park and, with no location prep at all, the pictures came out better than I could’ve imagined. Kat was more than willing to accommodate and made everyone feel comfortable. Our ceremony ended up being in a tiny back room down the street and with limited space, Kat did a great job at capturing the entire event. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

OK — let me start out by saying I am biased — Katje photographed our wedding beautifully and creatively against the Brooklyn clear winter sky and New York skyline; captured our amazing cake and was as easy to work with as anyone I have ever worked with, and I am her father. It’s not always easy to work with family and feel that the product is exceptional, but that’s the case. When my partner and I decided to come to New York to get married in December (because Oregon doesn’t let us get married there), I was really glad she offered to photograph it, since I have seen many of her photos and really like the creativity. She was as easy to work with as anyone I have ever worked with — and when we got the proofs back today, I didn’t even realize she was there half of the time taking some of the really amazing shots she did. OF course I would recommend her as her father — but now as a client and subject, that recommendation has real teeth — it’s really nice to have people telling me how terrific the photos are when they see them on Facebook. Katje photographed our wedding. On about 2 weeks we scheduled an «elopement» appointment with Kat because we traveled from Portland, OR to NY for our nuptials. She met us at the hotel, traveled to Central Park with us and walked part of the park for some pre-​ceremony shots and then our ceremony and post celebration. She is incredibly easy to work with, blends in when she needs to and you’ll be extremely happy with the photos.

We had the great pleasure and fortune to have Katje as our wedding photographer. She did such an amazing job! We were both very impressed with her work, and how she captured all the details, feel and mood of our special day. She is clearly very professional and passionate, and also very relaxed and fun to work with. Katje took care of everything and made our wedding even more memorable!

She was so gracious and friendly with our guests — everyone loved her. Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour was on a crowded narrow terrace, and I don’t know how she managed to maneuver around and get such beautiful photos. She is so quick and nimble! You will hardly notice she’s around, yet she comes up with hundreds of amazing candid shots. She had pictures from every minute of our 8 hour event — I don’t think she ever sat down! Oh — and she dances! We wanted our wedding to be big dance party, and we had been to other weddings where the photographer either ignored the dance floor or made the dancers feel self-​conscious. Katje was just dancing along with the rest of us, which made the dancers feel comfortable. Honestly, I received several «your photographer is awesome» compliments. The dance floor pics are my favorites.
Brides and grooms, I can’t recommend Katje enough! NY has many talented photographers, but perhaps none as warm, gracious, fun and tireless as Katje. Like the other reviewer, I wish I could add more stars :)

Kat photographed one of the most spectacular weddings I ever planned, and her images are indelible and perfectly capture that magical night. I look forward to working with her again this year on another stunning event. Her work is great and her personality is very chill, laid back, but she’s appropriately organized and responsible. All great qualities in a photographer.
