We always order from seamless and opt for vegetarian options such as dumplings, Yaki noodles and mushroom Ramen, Always delicious and quickly delivered. The garlic ravioli are also a must. We literally LOVE this place. A safe pick

Sayonara, Kiku. I’ve been ordering from your restaurant for over 10 years, but never again. Now that you’ve changed your menu, got rid of the best thing you offered (Manhattan Roll), and cut the pieces of your rolls from 8 to 6, I have no reason to order from you any longer. And every time I call to complain, some lady tries to convince me that I got everything I asked for so everything should be wonderful. But there’s too many sushi restaurants in Park Slope to be pulling this kind of nonsense. I’ll find another one now.

This spot has nice décor and attentive service. The sushi was decent, but the entrée plate was not (I got chicken teriyaki). Probably one of the best things about this spot is the Tuesday/​Thursday drink special which is $ 3 for wine and sake… Hard to beat that. I went on a Thursday night with a girlfriend and we had a nice quiet evening. Perfect spot for that type of night, just stick to the sushi and the wine…

Placed an order on seamless for Vegetable Gyoza and Vegetable Fried Rice. They sent me the Gyoza and a side of rice. I’m pretty pissed as it cost $ 16.

Really enjoyed their sushi.

We happened upon Kiku a few months ago and have returned several times since then.
It has a welcoming atmosphere, starting with a pleasant hostess and warm, wet cloths with which to wipe your hands. The menu offers appetizers, soups, meals as well as a great variety of sushi, shashimi, and noodle based dishes.
My wife and I find the food to be presented very attractively and with care to details, always fresh and delicious. The desserts were also surprisingly tasty! We do not drink, but a wide variety of alcoholic beverages are offered.
Our daughter and son-​in-​law, who live in Park Slope told us they and their friends (locals) love the place, too!

The service was just okay. There weren’t many people in the restaurant but it seemed to take awhile for someone to come over. When we sat down 2 of the appetizer plates were dirty, so not the best start. It says it is a sake bar on the sign, and when I have been to other places that say that they usually have 30 or more sake choices. This one only had maybe 12? The shumai were really mushy, seemed like they were microwaved instead of steamed. The rolls were okay. The rice was not as good as most sushi places I have been to, and the fish was not as fresh either. Nothing went terribly wrong with the experience, but with the number of sushi options around, I won’t be going back.

Ordered delivery– took very long and was appalled by how TINY the food portions were!!! Food was also cold and did not look tasty. Super disappointed. Never dined in but definitely don’t recommend delivery here

Started off with miso soup, it was good.
Second we had sushi platter and that was ok. The park slope roll was very good. The service was alright. Not sure if Ill be back.

Waited a veryyy long time for our food when we were starving. When the food arrived (separately and with a 10 minutes wait in between) the woman who placed my sushi on the table turns to me and asks «is this all yours?!» Her tone was very offensive as if to suggest that I was eating a HUGE amount of food. Laughed this off with my friend not that serious. The food was ok, nothing amazing. We asked for water and she brings over one glass, we didn’t bother trying to flag her down again for a second glass as we couldn’t stand to wait again. 2 stars for poor service.

We are frequent patrons of Kiku both in-​person and for delivery at home. The kids love the yakitori skewers and often have those with some rice for their entrée.
The special rolls are really good too. Many local favorites (like the park slope roll) and all the usual american and traditional rolls and sushi as well.
I also like the pork ramen quite a bit. It has all the good stuff: mushrooms, naruto, etc. and the noodles are great.
There are always kids in here so it’s a great spot to take your family and have a nice dinner — and a great break from the pizza and burger places in the neighborhood that are also kid-​friendly.

I have been here atleast 3 times.
The Good; Service was very attentive at the bar. Seemed like every server in the place was our personal waiter. One person took the order another brought it. Felt pampered.
Overall the food is good. Recommend; their sashimi salad (Honestly, every salad I had so far has been superb), miso Cod fish, lychee martini (very sweet), & sashimi.
Lovely, tranquil décor. Beautiful.
The bad; Food was good but a little Americanized for me. i.e., heavy super sweet sauces blanketing the underlying rolls. Seems to be the trend but, I can’t taste the fish.
Seafood Curry dish — was ok but I don’t think the curry was cooked long enough. Tasted pasty
They still don’t know what station the Knicks are on. So when we requested the game; they just handed us the remote. Not a big deal but it took like 10 minutes of searching. It is MSG, just write down the channel for the next customer. p. s., There are a lot of Rangers, Giant, Jets, and Nets fans here as well. You should note those channels too.
The Crème Brulee was not fired. I think the kitchen was in a hurry to leave. p. s. It wasn’t bad but more of a flan.

Solid spot with great sushi combo’s and terrific service.
Came by late on a Saturday night and was provided with prompt and friendly service. Restaurant has a nice and quiet vibe, perfect for dates.
They have a nice selection of sushi, sashimi and noodle based dishes on the menu. For starters we went with the pork gyoza, which were okay and miso soup, which was delicious. As entrees I had the shoyu ramen, pretty good but I have definitely had better. This version did not come with the seaweed and could’ve used a few more slices of pork. My date ordered sushi combo (kani, tuna, salmon) and it was so good.
Overall, the food and pretty good and an except deal. I will definitely come back to eat more of the sushi which happened to be my favorite part of our meal.

Delicious!!! Started with the duck buns, shrimp shumai, delcious!!! Duck buns had a great crisp to it as the shumai were super steamed and great consistency. Green lady roll was soo good. The sauce it came with was the right touch needed. This place gets packed quite quick, so I would suggest you come with a great pick of the menu!

Everything was good, nothing was great. I’d recommend the mango sushi rolls. I’d also recommend to do take out and not eat there in person cause it was totally empty when we arrived. A few people came in but the environment isn’t that nice. The service was not friendly at all, but pretty attentive.

This place is really great — I can’t recommend their black angel roll enough! So delicious. Always really good quality of fish, and have never been dissatisfied. Except the time I ordered the wrong roll (my mistake), but ended up eating something even more delicious!
If you live in the Park Slope area, definitely give it a try. Living on the same block as this restaurant, it’s one of my staples!

Cute little sushi spot in Park Slope. It’s another place that is more take out oriented, having a little bar and a few tables. I stopped in here with my father before he came to visit my apartment. He ordered his usual shrimp tempura, and my sister ordered yaki udon. I went with the Sushi Special; which includes a spicy tuna roll, 3 pieces of yellowtail, 3 pieces of snapper, and 3 pieces of salmon. It was just the right amount of food, and went perfectly with the mochi ice cream I ordered afterwards. They had the mochi arranged in a cute row on a plate, with sprinkles and whipped cream. I would come here again to redeem my free offer on Unilocal!;)

I always pass by Kiku, but have never walked in. Actually, I still have never walked in because this review is for a delivery order I had. Necessity breeds opportunity, and my need was to use a 15% off Seamless coupon before it expired. And I had a hankering for sushi, so Kiku fit the bill.
I ordered:
–Passion Special Roll — lobster salad, pear, seared salmon jalapeño
–Jalapeño Special Roll — tuna, yellowtail, avocado
–Hamachi/​yellowtail sashimi
–Red clam sashimi
–Broccoli tempura
I liked the jalapeño special roll the best. A little bit of tartness from the yuzu sauce, and some good spice. The passion special roll was a bit too sweet, but the dried cranberries on top were a nice touch.
For a single order, the broccoli tempura was a ton of food.
I liked both of the sashimi I got as well.
Delivery was fast, but then again I live pretty close. Almost close enough where I could justifiably be called lazy for not going to pick it up myself…
Look forward to ordering from Kiku again!

I’ve passed by Kiku many times over the last few years, but hadn’t stepped inside until last week. The reason why I ended up here was because I had dinner plans with my friend Greg (aka Gregorious), and he (as usual) was hankering for some Asian inspired cuisine.
Greg arrived at my apartment and said «we need to go somewhere new so you can write about it.» My friends are so supportive of my writing! Either that, or he just wanted me to mention that I call him «My Bra.» Why? He supports me and holds me up when I’m falling. He also adds a bit of lace and sequins in my life… whatever that means.
Am I boring you? Sorry. Back to the food!
When we got to Kiku, I was seriously craving some raw fish…(read that however you want). Greg ordered a beer, I got water, and we both took a look over the menu. Greg went with the salmon teriyaki and fried rice. I ordered the summer rolls appetizer and 2 sushi rolls without rice.
We got the appetizer, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was nice and big. Then again, for $ 11, it should be. It was one of those DIY lettuce wraps with the meat and veggies on the side. It also came with those slightly crunchy rice noodles that I love. The sauce was subtlety sweet and complimented the chicken and veggies nicely. You could easily get this dish as a main meal.
My 2 rolls were delicious. I should really pay attention to the names of things, but they’re the only 2 no rice rolls. I do know that they were on the left side of the 2^nd page of the menu. Maybe. Does that help?
My rolls were slathered in a good portion of thinly sliced, perfectly ripe avocado. I love avocado, so I was totally fine with this. If you’re one of those people who like a lot of fish and only a hint of the squishy green stuff, you will not like these rolls.
The waitress came over once or twice after we got our food to check in. Greg never got a glass of water with his beer, which made him a little sad. Thankfully, I’m a great friend and I let him have some sips of mine.
Overall? Great food, pretty good service and the price? $ 70 before tax and tip. A bit pricy for me, but worth it.

Whenever people talk about the «good old days,» I want to remind them that it doesn’t matter how great it was that women couldn’t vote, Grandpa, you probably had to leave your apartment (or at least talk to someone on a telephone) if you wanted fresh, delicious sushi.
Well, now I have Eat24. I don’t even have to cross reference with Unilocal any more (ratings/​reviews are built in), and I STILL don’t have to talk to people and/​or leave my apartment.
Kiku was simply the top-​rated sushi spot that would deliver to me one evening. I clicked a few things, and then some sushi came to my door. And it was fresh and tasty.
Life is good. Even if women can vote.
