I visited Brooklyn for the first time this past April, and needed to buy a gift for a friend before I headed back home to CA. I figured I could wait until the last minute since where I live in Oakland I can walk to the corner liquor store at 8am and buy a 40, some condoms, cheddar cheese, and a box of Q-​tips all in one shot. Not so in Brooklyn… or at least Williamsburg. Don’t really know. Anyway, this was the only freakin liquor store open early enough for me to get the gift and catch my flight home. Plus, the guys here were nice.

Best liquor store in NYC. The owners are fun and very fun to talk with, very knowledgeable about their selections, and they even have local suppliers in for tastings many days each month. And their prices are great! They know me by name, which I think probably means I need to be in a 12 step program, but they get all my booze business. Well worth the trip to visit this store.

Cool liquor store that isn’t crazy expensive.

Best liquor store in the neighborhood. They have the best prices, and they stock the best booze. They have discount bourbons like Weller, and they don’t gouge you on them. The Russian guys who run the place are really knowledgable and actually pretty hilarious if you chat with them. I don’t go anywhere else.

It’s big, it’s organized, it’s always stocked heavily and it’s right up the street from my crib. Therefore, this is my go-​to liquor store. If you’re in the immediate area and want some funky cold medina, this is the place you need to go to. There really isn’t anything you can’t find here.
The owners are extremely chill and are very amicable. If you need assistance, they will be more than willing to help. After coming in one night to grab a bottle of Ciroc Coconut for a house party, one of the owners, in his heavy accent asks, «Why you buy that for? Because of the P Diddy?» He directed me to a cheaper coconut vodka called Pearl. It was a good call. There’s a vast array of whatever your favorite poison is. If you walk in on the right Friday night, you might even get lucky with a complimentary tasting of whatever new brand is on the scene.
However, I do most of my wine purchasing here. Not for anything super fancy. Just standard table wine to have in the crib when I’m chilling or having dinner with my girlfriend. They also carry my favorite prosecco, Mionetto (look for the big orange label). It’s perpetually in stock. We use that instead of regular champagne for mimosas. I’ve been known to wipe the place clean of these bottles when I have brunch w/​friends at my apartment.
I’ll gladly continue to give L & P my money as long as my liver will allow me. My only issue with the place is that I also play my Lotto here and I haven’t won yet.

Nice selection of whiskey over here. I wasn’t too crazy about their tequilas. Not much of a variety. The prices here are pretty good. The guys that work here all seem pretty laid back. Their store is very clean and well organized. The only thing I don’t like about their store are their bags. Their bags look nice but it tears easily even when it’s double bagged. So just be careful when you’re walking home with your purchase from this store.

Super nice people that run the place, they know their inventory and are great at giving suggestions. Their prices are great too. Its going to be my go-​to place from now on.

Friendly, affordable, great selection of reasonably priced wine, which is difficult to find outside CA. Gato Nero may be my new $ 5 Buck Chuck — and I don’t have to trek into Union Square to find.

Excellent neighborhood store with a large selection of wines, bourbons and scotches. They have frequent liquor tastings and excellent service!
