L Train Vintage

Huge, and the prices are right. Not exactly off the L Train, though I recognize the original location’s probably over that way. Some gems here, for sure. Only downside to it is that you have to sort through so much stuff, but come on, it’s worth going the extra mile for cheap, swaggy garments.

This place has changed. The prices jumped, and they are NOT cheap when it comes to the good stuff. You used to be able to go inside with $ 20 and come put with a pair of branded sneakers and some nice branded apparel, but now $ 20 can get you some crappy little league apparel and underground rockband tshirts from the 80’s-90’s. This actually could be my fault, for showing the manager how to properly research sneakers and clothing. So now instead of $ 10 jordans, their minumum is ALWAYS $ 40-​$ 50 for jordans and Nikes (authentic or fake), and ive seen them price FAKE Jordans for $ 120. Another thing is their rafels. I find it suspicious that one of the employees close friends won the «$ 100 Shopping spree» rafel, and also that you can go onto any of their Instagrams and see that THEY SAVE ALL THE GOOD STUFF FOR THEMSELVES, RATHER THEN PUTTING THEM ON SHELVES AND RACKS. THEY EVEN BRAG ABOUT IT. UNFARE.

They have a lot of items but they were just not what I was looking for. This location was more of a soup kitchen vibe than anything. The workers also made me feel uncomfortable when I shopped, it was more like everytime I went to another section they were pretending to straighten up clothes. No greeting at all

Filled with hidden treasures. You need a few hours to search through everything, but it is worth it!

Best thrift and vintage store I have ever been to. Seriously well organized and priced very fairly. Amazing selection. Even for a huge guy like me at 6 foot 330 I had plenty of choices. Ended up with a Wilson leather jacket easily worth 400 for 35 bucks! Also bought a pair of leather pants for 25! I realize starting to sound like I was shopping for a trip to the blue oyster leather man bar in police academy, maybe I was, don’t judge me! Lol. But the selection of everything was amazing. I got steal toe doc Martin Airwalk for 25 bucks! And I’m done, clearly a Theme to my shopping habits has developed.

Great place! Most of thrift stores I go to don’t have a great selection for men, but this was perfect. Huge selection of sweaters, jeans, jackets and shirts. The shoe and non-​denim pants are really lacking tho and the customer service could be better. Overall, me and my friend who went with me said we definitely be back.

Real huge, warehouse, filled with vintage clothes. I was quite surprised of the selection of clothing and shoes here. I was compelled and inspired by Macklemore’s song Thrift Shop, that I bought some tags with twenty dollars in my pocket, lol. I bought two polo shirts (one by Polo Ralph Lauren and the other by LaCoste) sorry to disappoint but no R. Kelly sheets here. Left smiling with ten dollars left. Hey! saving can fun, if you don’t think so, than you’re a 1 percenter or voting for Donald Trump. You will find lots of goodies here. I love their stores! So much variety. I’m from California and every time I’m in town I must stop by for retail therapy. Great prices! And I’ve found several Vintage Gucci and coach bags at great prices!

Out of the 4 thrift stores I went to today, this was by far my favorite! They have such a wide selection of clothes that it’s hard to leave here without buying out the entire store XD This place has a lot of variety of different clothes, with a lot of vintage finds. It’s very organized and clean, and actually has AC turned up, very important for a hot day like today!
Prices are decent. Shorts for 5 $. Jean jackets for 10 $. Some bags that are evident to be high brands can be expensive as 75 $. I wouldn’t recommend buying shoes here though because most of the shoes are 20 – 30 $. Why buy something so expensive at a thrift store when you can find cheaper prices at every-​day stores. Other than that, love it!

The store is large and somewhat organized, but the service is abysmal. We were the first to arrive when it opened on saturday and after the guy opened the shutters he didn’t bother to tell us come on in.
After we did enter the store, there was no words exchanged at all from the two workers (one male, one female) towards me and my boyfriend. They clearly hate their jobs and do not want to be there.
It only got worse too — I went up to ask the girl a question and said Hi, she was stone faced and let my greeting go unanswered. At the check out counter when she gave us our change and my boyfriend said have a good day, not a single word. Seriously, some people don’t deserve jobs.
Most items are $ 5 (although things get pricey — like $ 20 for overalls and $ 40 for a tutu) but honestly, most of the clothing /​shoes are faded, terrible and outdated. We were just there to get ‘costumes’ for a party we were attending. I would not go back or recommend this store to anyone!

looked through the masculine section of the store and it was loaded with so much wild stuff that I wish I was brave enough to wear. However, there were are definitely a few items throughout the racks that are still bold, yet tame enough for your timid dresser.
The prices here are great. I walked away with a light blue denim jacket for $ 15, and my boyfriend got a great-​looking pair of lightly-​used Nikes for $ 20.
The store is divided into sections of related items on racks. They have a sizable denim jacket selection, a surprisingly big number of jerseys (not of well-​known teams, mind you), and a wide selection of vibrant button downs. They also have a few pairs of shoes throughout the store.

I love browsing at L Train Vintage on Sackett and the Bushwick location, Urban Jungle. Armed with a tape measure and a list of family measurements, I always find good-​quality items at great prices. The Sackett store is clean and airy, and very spacious. But IMO, for a thrift shop, less isn’t more. I’d prefer that they narrow down the walkways and add more clothing racks, more like Atlantis Attic (may it rest in peace).

So I’m going to assume this is the replacement spot that was off the Grand L stop. My friend and I randomly stumbled upon this gem and when I saw the yellow price tags I instantly knew my love was back with me.
They have an entire store full of mens clothing and accessories. The other side, which is just as huge, is for the ladies. The walls are lined with long and short dresses, mosey from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. They have any and everything for a vintage lover like myself and then some.
They even have funny dresses. I bought a dress with an Inca symbol on it with what seems to be yarn or fake hair. The fitting room is a kind of a pain because you can only bring in 5 items and there isn’t a place to put what you don’t want. I saw people just leave clothes and hangars in the fitting room. The roo. s are also locked, which I totally get. I was randomly shopping so I had to go and get the guy several times.
The prices can’t be beat. For example
— leather skirts $ 8 – 12
–fun skirts $ 5 – 15
— tops $ 5 and up
You get the point. This place also has a random selection of handbags. I snatched up a fun vintage coach bag for a crazy low price (did I need it? Or course!)
A really great place for shoppers like me or people who want to experiment with their style but don’t wanna spend all their money.

All I have to say is: WOW
This place is, hands down, the best vintage store I’ve been to. I love vintage goods, but it can be rather frustrating if you don’t have the time or patience to go through each and every rack. The store is expertly curated and separates the different styles of clothing perfectly — it’s definitely easy to locate a specific article of clothing without having to dig through racks of tacky, cheap products.
I’m a lady who just happens to love menswear. The mens clothing here is unlike anywhere I’ve ever seen. So many amazing jackets and boots. Swoon!
I didn’t peruse the women’s section as intensely since I was in a rush, but it seems pretty legit also. I found a great pair of sturdy & cute boots for $ 15. All of the prices were extremely affordable and ranged from $ 5-​$ 25. Will definitely come back when I have more time!

This place is AH-​MAZ-​INGGGG! I came here after a few friends of mine told me about the great finds here. I found two perfectly-​conditioned vintage fur coats and I am still in shock. I’ve been ranting and raving about L Train since I’ve come back and I have a following of people coming back with me next weekend!

Such a great vintage shop. There’s a wide variety of clothes, shoes and accessories to search through. The prices are a bit high sometimes but it’s worth it. I got a denim jacket the last time I visited for $ 15

The clothes were very 70s and 80s. The prices were very reasonable — mostly $ 10 and $ 8, dipping down to $ 5. The quality was mixed. Some material was very thin, and very old styles.
If you are a typically small person, they won’t have many dresses for you. Everything is very long — the skirts and dresses. Vintage and retro. No skinny jeans here!
The place was big, seperated into men’s and women’s. Pretty cool shoes and bags.
Take time to come here. You have to look through the racks. The sweaters and shirts looked promising, as I was mostly looking for skirts and dresses.
If you are looking for modern clothing, they don’t have a lot, but if you like vintage and retro — the quality matches the prices here. Gotta dig deep for good stuff.

Ahhh I don’t want to tell anyone about this place cause it’s so awesome but sharing is caring so there you go.
Randomly stumbled across this place while walking home from Target on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. There was a sign on 4^th ave that said vintage store so I said sure why not.
Lo and behold this huge warehouse neatly packed with goods aplenty! High ceilings, lots of natural light, organized racks, clearly marked tags, and beyond reasonable prices made for a wonderful shopping experience!
I ended up spending over an hour in here looking through everything. The store had no more than 20 people shopping in it at one time so you could browse the racks with ease.
I ended up with a jacket, a shirt, a skirt, and a vest for $ 60. It’s not bargain bin prices but for New York, it’s a great deal.
Most of the stuff in here I would say is retro and vintage. You won’t find Chanel bags or Abercrombie tees here.

After our trip to Dinosaur BBQ across the street, we saw the sign for L Train Vintage. So we followed the sign and found a nice sized vintage (although they had some modern labels mixed in as well) store. You walk in to the men’s clothing and shoe section but before you get too disappointed, take a walk through the doorway into the women’s section and be amazed! Petticoats, hats, skirts, walls of dresses… it’s every vintage lover’s dream!
My favorite part? The prices of everything I liked were $ 8-​$ 10 (although they did have a Fendi bag for $ 50 among some other name brand items that were a bit higher priced). I honestly could have spent at least an hour in there, trying on and sifting through the racks. Shame it isn’t closer to me!
