I just tried to make an appointment at the new Sheepshead Bay location as a new patient. The girl at the front desk took my insurance information over the phone. She took a while to search if they had accepted my private insurance. When she got back on the phone, she informed me I had to switch my PCP to their doctor. It doesn’t make any sense at all since I was going there to see a gynecologist. She proceeded to tell me I would have to pay a different co pay. I, then, told her $ 15 vs $ 30 isn’t a big deal. The next thing I know… I was talking to myself. She hung up on me. I called back four times with my cell and home phones. No one picked up and went straight to voicemail. They have idiots working for them. I’m so tempted to walk over a block and get her fired. That was really rude and counterproductive to get new patients in.

Dr Lim Tse is a no nonsense type of doctor. Not the warm and cuddly type which I did not mind with my first 2 pregnancies. She got the job done. Unfortunately my third experience was quite different. Despite requests to see her specifically, I would always get her associates who were very kind. During my entire 38 weeks of pregnancy I saw Dr Tse twice. Once at 5 month pregnant while hospitalized for a kidney infection. One other time in her office at 38 wks pregnant for routine visit when she would tell me that my daughter who my family was expecting any day no longer had a heart beat. There was no compassion. No I am sorry for your loss. She barely gave me time get me 8yo daughter (who was excited about getting another glimpse of her new sibling) out of the room. My pregnancy was a uncomplicated one, the baby never skipped a beat, so this was unexpected and devastating news. Dr Tse did not get my husband who sat in the waiting room unaware of what had happened despite my panicked pleas as I could not bare to hear this news by myself. I had to jump of the bed and get him myself. She was cold in her delivering the news. It seemed like work as usual. She handed me a referral to be seen in the ER stating that the ultrasound would be repeated but frankly she did not think the baby was alive. She proceeded to rush through the option of an induction that day or to go home it did not matter it is up to me is what she stated. We were rushed, maybe perhaps because there were 2 or 3 patients waiting; maybe because we were expecting a snow storm later that day. I for was getting prenatal care for 2mos of my pregnancy (6^th and 7^th mos) at Mt Sinai as it was closer to my office but decided that I wanted the doctor who delivered my first two beautiful children to deliver my third. I am now haunted by this whole experience. If there was ever a time to show some compassion or to even fake it, that was the time. I hate that Dr Tse’s name is the name that appears on our beautiful precious baby girl’s death certificate as she was not apart of the process and did not deliver her. I don’t think she ever saw her. She checked in quickly the following day after delivery. Very hurt.

So I was seeing another ob/​gyn but since I moved I decided to try this place out. I came for my appointment today this morning at 10 to find out no one was even in the building. I called them up and the girl on the phone was like oh oppsie they actually have another location and they booked me for the location by 8^th ave where my previous doctor was at. So ok… I was pretty sure I told them that’s why I stop going to that other doctor bc the drive took me 40 minutes.
The receptionist then told me how about coming back at 1pm, it’ll be open then. I agreed to come back but told the receptionist I had to pick up my son from school at 2 and if it would be a problem. She assured me it was more than enough time.
So I came back at 1pm. The office is nice and clean. They spoke good English. They did my initial check up and told me to go back out to wait for the doctor. 45 minutes goes by and I’m still waiting so I asked them what was taking so long? Another lady then told me oh there isn’t a doctor present not until 2! Ok I’m pretty frustrated this time. She tells me well they usually open at 2 but they were trying to so their clients a favor so they opened earlier but they can’t help it the doctor isn’t there yet. She told me to pick up my son and come back once again! Really? How unprofessional ! She also said some other stupid things but anyways I’m going back to my old doctor! Definitely never coming here again!

They have an office in both sheepshead bay and 8^th avenue. I like the 8^th avenue office because they are open on Saturdays.
They are super quick and efficient here. The staff is very friendly and experienced. They are very professional and personable. I believe they do take most insurances. They’re quick and I was in and out of there in a flash.
Even though it is predominantly Asian, Dr. Tse, as well as most of her staff, can speak both English as well as multiple Chinese dialects. Be sure to make an early appointment to avoid a line, especially if you are a first time patient.
