Super nice and really terrific for kids who might be afraid of the dentist.
The toys and, in particular, gender stereotyping are WAY over the top. They give my son cool wooden airplanes and my daughter giant fake diamond rings. And when she says she wants a plane instead, they manage to say no way. And when she says she wants green, they say, why not pink? what’s wrong with you? aren’t you a girl? It’s BANANAS!
And super expensive.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Jackson and her staff. Besides being so great with our toddlers, they also put nervous parents at ease with their patience and friendly style.
Our kids actually look forward to going to the dentist because of the treats they get and also the really fun way they make a trip to the dentist an enjoyable experience.

My 9-​year old son adores Dr. Adam Silevitch because he is gentle, fun, and great with kids. As parents we love Dr. Adam because he provides excellent care, and takes the time to explain any process to us and to involve us in informed decision-​making. We were referred to Dr. Jackson’s practice by our pediatrician for our sons’s first dental visit, and we have been extremely pleased by the care our son has received over the years. As a very protective and choosy Mom, I highly recommend Dr. Adam.
And the cavity fighting lollipops are a great post visit treat!

Dr. Jackson and staff are very nice. I like that she spent extra time asking a lot of questions and answered my questions as well. Office is clean /​comfortable, and the location is convenient. Also AFFORDABLE. Overall GREAT experience! My children are already asking to go back to the dentist!

My twin boys are 12 years old and they have never gone to any other dentist. We look forward to seeing Dr. Jackson, and always have. The only thing better than Dr. Jackson is her new associate Dr. Adam Silevitch. He is young and hip and smart… but more importantly he clearly loves his job and working with children and families. His practice is gonna blow up so get an apt while you can. My boys had four cavities between them on our last visit, and a potential root canal, and I know it sounds crazy, but the whole experience was so positive, we didn’t want to leave. He’s a super complement doc with the best bedside manner I’ve seen in along time. LOVE him.

Extremely expensive — above Upper West Side rates — and she missed serious issues with my kid’s teeth. And when we changed dentists she sent the wrong x-​rays. Avoid.

I used Dr. Jackson for a couple years before realizing it was time to move on. I was initially impressed with her bedside manner, and in awe of the fact that she filled a cavity without my son even seeming to notice. On our last visit there, Dr Jackson said my son needed another filling. I realized when I got home that she had just refilled the same cavity that had been dealt with prior. I was a little creeped out that she didn’t admit her initial filling had failed. By the time we went to a different dentist (a year or so later), Dr. Jackson’s 2^nd filling on my child’s tooth had also failed, and now he had a really deep, problematic cavity. Beware the painless dental magic that Dr. Jackson appears to perform.
During that last visit, Dr. Jackson’s impressive rapport with children seemed to evaporate. She was deeply preoccupied with returning an item of clothing to a department store, and had endless back and forths with her receptionist about it, barely addressing my child or looking at him as she worked. I would never go back.

My kids were nervous about going to the dentist. They saw Dr. Adam and he turned the visit into a fun experience for them. They had so much fun at the office that they can’t wait to go back. Dr. Adam also saw my 5 year old niece who has refused to open her mouth for the previous 2 dentists she has visited. She opened up for Dr Adam within a minute of sitting on the chair.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.
They are also open on Saturday and there is a minimal wait for your appointment once you get to the office.

My daughter loves going to the dentist, thanks to Dr. Jackson. Who would have imagined that? She has a very calm, unstressed manner with the kids, communicates very clearly with me as the parent, had age-​appropriate expectations for behavior. So happy to have her as our dentist.

I went there with my 3 yr old after getting this dentist recommended. The office is filthy in appearance and no room in the waiting area, the bathrooms cleanliness reminded me to the ones at Mc Donald’s. As Dr Jackson may or may not be a good dentist my daughter reacted well to her as she did not perform any dental work on her. As we moved on doing x-​rays however, the drama started; the x-​ray «specialist» became very frustrated after my child did not cooperate well with biting on that huge paper they use to take the pictures with and eventually an assistant came in who then started to yell at my child! That’s when I grabbed my child as the x-​ray specialist and her assistant took away the lollipop they previously gave my child because she did not cooperate… I paid a $ 140 (not sure what for) and left. Very poor level of professionalism and no warmth to their work whatsoever but a lot of toys to shut their patients up which will be taken away if the child doesn’t cooperate as they would like them to? And thereafter they want me to pay for that, no thanks!

She is hands down the best. Yes there is a wait if you go after school, and yes the receptionists can be a little vague. Understand upfront that they don’t take insurance and you’ll have to do the paperwork yourself. But Dr. Jackson has correctly flagged a handful of things with my kids that we could address before they became problems, and she has done 3 fillings on my son — who possesses among the world’s lowest pain thresholds — quickly and painlessly. Love her.

Find another dentist for your kids. This one is terrible.
