He practices comfortable, health-​centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each patient. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Harris is a careful listener & will explain beforehand what treatment is best for your individual needs. He has been in practice for 20 years and would like to show you how exceptional dentistry can change your life.

The office also has a periodontist (gum therapy, surgery, implants) and an endodontist (root canals) on staff. No more running around to multiple offices to get your treatment done.

Dr. Harris earned his bachelor’s degree from Howard University and received his doctorate from New York University. He has since taken many continuing education courses, including those in periodontics, endodontics & cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Harris is a member of the American Dental Association, 2nd District Dental Society & the Academy of General Dentistry.

If I could give this place zero stars I would.
Dr. Stanley is fine. The front office is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
They billed me for a service that wasn’t covered by my insurance, that I never requested and that I’m not even sure was ever given to me.
I told them repeatedly over the course of several months that I had not agreed to this service and I don’t think I’d ever received it, so it wasn’t very fair for them to be charging me.
I called back after several statements to finally pay the bill (I gave up. This is too kafka-​esque for me) and the front office manager HUNG UP ON ME. Wildly unprofessional.
Dr. Stanley — if you’re reading this you need to replace your office manager. He is losing you business.

Office was a little odd. Hadn’t been updated in many years. Looks like someones living room.
Office «manager» was rude and obnoxious. My insurance is under my wife’s insurance and the manager demanded her Social Security number in order to be seen. Started arguing with the manager. Dr. Stanley Harris DDS over heard and came running out to tell his manager that he didn’t need my wifes social. Which was good because I wasn’t going to give it.
Office manager said he would give me an itemized bill for my personal Aflac policies. Had to argue with him to get this. Finally received it.
Had another appointment schedule with Dr. Stanley Harris DDSand the same officer manager called me an hour before the appointment and told me Dr. Stanley Harris DDS couldn’t see me. Period. No explanation. Nothing.
Look at the other reviewers. Billing ie office management the problem at Dr. Stanley Harris DDS office.

With a fear of all dentists (it was six years since my last dental confession) I heard nothing but praise for Dr. Harris. I scheduled an appointment and decided to see for myself. My experience with Dr. Harris was amazing. It’s great to go to a dentist who is friendly, courteous and gentle. I was also very happy that it was Dr. Harris himself who does the cleaning and not an assistant. Will definitely be seeing him again in 6 months!

Beware of billing procedures! Dr. Harris himself was very nice, but we had major issues with their billing. As other reviews mentioned, their billing procedures are awful. Not only were things submitted improperly to our insurance and we were billed erroneously, but as they were supposed to be fixing it, we started receiving calls from debt collectors! They also gave my husband and I fluoride treatments without asking and then charged us for them, which insurance doesn’t cover. It was months of phone calls to try to straighten things out and we still ended up paying just under $ 500 for 2 cleanings and a couple cavities just to be done with it all.

DR HARRIS IS A SCAM ARTIST!
I went to Dr. Harris for a simple cleaning because his office is near my job and he took my insurance. His receptionist told me that it is completely covered under my insurance when I got there. He did the cleaning and a few weeks later I received a detailed bill that he was supposed to send to my insurance company but was sent to me instead. He charged my insurance company $ 1200+ for the cleaning. My insurance covers $ 1500 per year for dental. To put the icing on the cake, not only did he charge my insurance $ 1200+, he sent me a bill for $ 121 in addition to the bill and when I refused to pay it, his office threatened to send it to collection. DO NOT GO THERE!

Went to Dr Harris for a year or so. He’s a friendly, personable and perfectly decent dentist. I would in fact probably continue to be a patient of his if his billing procedures weren’t such a nightmare…
Billing is done late, erratically, and per my insurance company (delta), incorrectly. Even worse, the person in charge of billing is only available by phone for a few hours on Saturdays only. …I ended up being billed for more than i actually owed a year after receiving the services. Took months to reach the biller despite repeated calls on various Saturdays and even then, no real resolution and a surprise letter from a collections agency.

Watch-​out! This Dentist is a con-​artist, he is very nice an polite but he will over charge you for services you never requested and if you decides to fight it he simply will sale your debt to a collection agency.
He did it to me, he did it to a friend of main and its only after I realize I got scam I decided to surf the web and find out he have done this to other new patients of his.
I filed a complain at NYC consumer affair and Better Business Bureau.
Save yourselves the trouble and stay away!!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Harris since October last year. I was fed up with my previous dentist and wanted a fresh start. I actually found him via ZocDoc and booked my appointment. Dr. Harris is always professional and kind, and has a great bedside manner. I’ve seen him for cleanings and fillings, and I will soon have an implant put in (not looking forward to that but I’m glad I’m in his hands). The office calls ahead to confirm appointments which is helpful. I did have a billing issue but once I spoke with the woman in charge of billing (FYI: she works on the weekends), she cleared up some strange charges on my bill and I received a bill for the correct amount, which I gladly paid. All in all, a great and friendly dentist.

He did a few fillings for me, all of which fell out. Yes ALL! Be prepared to leave his office soaked after cleanings, and the biggest issue of them all, there’s always a billing debacle. I noticed that he posted a debt on my credit when I was doing a routine credit check. I called and as usual, he couldn’t answer any billing questions and made references to his pseudo billing department. In the end, I fought it through the credit bureau and had it removed. Never heard from him or this billing department. Save yourself the hassle!

Doctor comes off as nice, but don’t be deluded by his presentation, he is a hack! If you care about your health and want to see someone who takes seriously the health of his or her patients, run from this place. This guy clearly has no regard for that. My experience with him is nothing other than horrifying and shocking!

Loved Dr. Harris! He’s really nice, honest and very knowledgable. I had a horrible experience at another dentist office who tried to bill my insurance for services they didn’t render. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Harris for a check-​up!

As someone who dreads the dentist, this was a very pleasant experience. The office is comfortable, clean and lovely, the receptionist is nice and Dr. Harris is great. He’s very friendly and gentle, talking you through the process. And he did everything himself — I dunno if that’s a Saturday thing or if he never has hygienists. I love that he has Saturday hours too.
My teeth feel clean and that guilt of waiting forever to go to the dentist (and the dread of going) is over.

I went to Dr. Harris on a coworker’s referral and I was not disappointed. He has excellent bedside manner. Before each process — a standard cleaning — he would tell me quickly and quietly what he was about to do. He’s the first dentist to shake my hand before and after our session. He made me feel like a person, not just another mouth, which is, in my experience, shockingly rare for a dentist. The facilities and equipment aren’t new but it’s well maintained and clean. Dr. Harris is the place to go for dental needs in Brooklyn Heights.

I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Stan Harris at ACDA Family & Cosmetic Dentistry late last year. I am not the patient under normal circumstances, but I was worse with dental stuff. Dr. Harris made me feel at ease the moment I entered his office. He developed a great treatment plan, with my input — I felt advised and included in the entire process. I continue to be impressed with his attention to his patient. He calls me at home after each treatment to check on how I’m feeling, and how the day went.
I can’t say, or recommend him, enough.
