The food, service and atmosphere was perfect! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it but it ended up being better than I thought. Plus the servers were nice and patient. I will definitely be back to get some fantastic pasta!

Tried this recently food was on point-loved the nice quiet cozy dinner — service was good my only suggestion is to have someone to greet customers and let them know how long for a table. This is a family run place but still should have a maitre ‘d.

I have been here numerous times. Why? The food is very satisfying and the ambience is old school, which I like. By that I mean that I don’t need to bring a megaphone to dinner. Common as the Caesar salad is, it is often a bore. Here it is full of flavor. I also love the piccata. Frank Sinatra is apt to be coming out of the speakers, which is fine with me. Their pastas are rich and delicious, if that is what you want. If you are looking for a quiet, unfussy but excellent basic Italian restaurant, give Mulino a try.

Do NOT order from this restaurant! This review has nothing to do with the food … because, unfortunately, this restaurant never delivered our food, after we waited over an hour. I’m posting a review because of how disgusted I am with their lack of service, and it’s clearly a shady establishment. We ordered off seamless web and we should have listened to the multiple reviews stating that this restaurant failed to deliver food, and then denied receiving their order. This is exactly what happened to us, even though we received a confirmation from seamless(and seamless subsequently checked, and the order was, in fact, placed). I spoke to several people at the restaurant and they were completely useless. There are SO many Italian restaurants in this area — don’t waste your time with this one.

In the freezing cold my boyfriend and I decide to go out for dinner, without a plan of where to go. We’ll there were train issues so after an extended bus ride, we were both starving and irritated. At that point we would’ve eaten at a bar. This place happened to still be open(since by that time it was already 11pm). Thank God we found this place so unexpectedly. The ambiance was nice and quiet. Though some of the pictures I find a but cheesy. especially the one in the front with vegetables looking like a human. Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and constantly came to check up on us. The complementary appetizer would’ve been amazing but I personally hate blue cheese so I didn’t eat the delicious looking bruchetta. My boyfriend ordered his usual Alfredo and I got the gnocchi. Both were so delicious! My gnocchi were SOINCREDIBLY light and fluffy and the mozzarella pieces just made my mouth water. I seriously savored and enjoyed every bite. I tried my bf’s Alfredo which was very creamy with great flavor. He wouldn’t shut up about how good it was. I did read other reviews… I think maybe our experience was so great because it was only an hour until closing on a weekend night where everyone is out drinking down the street instead. There were only 3 other tables there of all couples so it wasn’t hectic or crowded either.

Place was very nice and the service was amazing. I ordered the baked ziti and my boyfriend had the veal caprese. Both were very good. The drinks were good and the complimentary bruschetta was amazing! We will definitely be back again!

I have only ever got the fettuccini alfredo a few times, both delivery and pick up, and once with chicken. The menu is a bit pricey, but the homemade pasta is just divine, and the alfredo sauce is authentically made. Very good quality food, in my limited experience. I never had a meal on premises, but I would call the place romantic, simply because it is kind of dark.

I’m giving four stars because I just came here for the first time for the $ 11.99 lunch special. Delicious sautéed spinach appetizer, fish Francesca with vegetables on the side, and glass of wine included. Nice peasant bread accompanied the meal.

I eat at Mulino’s once or twice a month. Love the Mulino House salad and the Bruschetta with blue cheese. My favorite Entrée is the Chicken Francese. Chicken is nice and tender with just the right amount of lemon to wake up the taste buds. The waiters are always polite and they do communicate your dietary concerns to the chef, so that your meal comes to your table as ordered. I am not a fan of the lamb, but I have enjoyed everything else I have had. I will say when we come here we know that it is not going to be a rush meal which is sorta nice.(No one likes it when they snatch away your salad plate before your half finished.) LOL! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a very poor experience at Mulino’ restaurant due to mistakes on our order and an unprofessional manager named Alex. He ignored us for over an hour, overcharged us and thew the bill on the table without our dessert(he stated that they had no more) and charged us! DON’T GOTHERE.

Not quite sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I am from out of town but I have traveled the world and I have also traveled to Italy. With Florence being my favorite this restaurant conjures memories of that particular trip. Salads are authentic and the contrast of the cool crisp arugula provolone and olives was amazing… try the Mulino house salad Seafood Neopolitano was far from undercooked or frozen! Delicate breading, fresh seafood and a magnificent sauce that brought me back to a quaint cobblestone street with my sister in Florence! I did not ask where the bread came from but it’s amazing. Crisp crust with a moist crumb I prefer the olive oil over the butter brought to the table. The Prosecco is standard Zonin which is completely acceptable AND at the perfect temperature with a chilled glass for a seafood Italian dish. Upon ordering they brought a chef sample of Bruschetta which was delectable! Again perfect temperature contrasts! Chilled fresh tomato and warm crunchy fresh bread base!!! They had a dinner special where you could pick three courses the third being dessert and a glass of wine for $ 23. I haven’t made it to the dessert yet but it if it is anything like the other courses I am already thrilled! I wish I didn’t live 400 miles away

Where to go with a hungry screaming toddler walking out of NY Kids Club? Next door of course… Enter this place… food tasted like it came out of boxes and heated up. I ordered gnocchi that came with still kind of frozen cubes of mozzarella cheese. The beefsteak tomatoes in the caprese salad had to be sliced by a child… It had to be– there’s no way someone working professionally in a kitchen can possibly slice such uneven, thick slices! The food was inedible– not sure how they stay open.

I admit I read the review AFTER I ordered from grubhub. Big mistake. Don’t order from here. And I’ll likely never visit. The Mediterranean Salad is a complete joke. Two olives. Four slices of tomato. And maybe five cucumber slices. Tiny clump of feta. And some onions. For $ 9.50. More like a side salad than a meal. My husband’s chicken parm was beat to a thinness I didn’t think was possible with a chicken breast. The penne with Alfredo was barely similar any Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had and the pasta was overcooked. I’m incredibly disappointed in the food portions but it wasn’t as bad as some other reviews stated. It didn’t take forever to arrive so that’s a plus. I wouldn’t order from here again.

This is a nice neighborhood restaurant with consistently enjoyable food. Service is welcoming and gracious and the menu has something for every taste. I had previously written a less complimentary review, complaining chiefly about noise level coming from the radio being played loudly. Later I returned with friends and found that the music was appropriate. I returned yet again, and once more, no complaints. For whatever reason management seems to have corrected the issue. So, I am pleased to be able to have this restaurant available again as a dependable go-to place for enjoyable — and relaxing — Italian fare.

THEYARETHIEVES! DONOTORDERFROMHERE! I GOTFOODPOISONING! i ordered pasta and mediterranean salad from here through seamless. the pasta was great, but the salad… for $ 9.50 was 4 slices of tomato, some form of feta cheese — and lettuce. if this was a garden salad for $ 5.00 i would not be mad. so i called the restaurant to complain — and the guy did not want to give my money back, he wanted to send his delivery guy to see the salad. and then maybe, return my money. i said forge it, bring me a whole new salad that looks like $ 9.50 — back and forth he said he would call me back and DIDNOT. so i called seamless — and they refunded my $ 10.00 for the salad so thank you for the free salad mulino ristorante — but I got food poisoning from the feta cheese, I am going to call the Health Department, make sure this place is clean. people: keep in mind, when ordering from seamless — seamless processes the money first, the restaurant does not see the bill. so if a restaurant ever tries to screw you over — call seamless first — you may be able to get a free dish =d

So after work my co-workers and I decided to have some Italian food delivered to our workplace and this was in range. We had the good from here and it wasn’t bad. We ordered the baked ziti, penne caprese, chicken parmesan(which I unfortunately couldn’t have bc I’m on a vegetarian diet for a month), and the rigatoni vodka, which was my favorite out of all the pastas we had. The pastas were all good though. The only reasons why I’m giving this place only tree stars is because 1. I had it as take out and not at the actual restaurant so I can’t really judge it as well and 2. I couldn’t have any non-veg dishes, which my coworkers said were pretty good. I would definitely give this place a second chance though, especially if I have an actual restaurant experience with it and when I’m back to a non-veg diet. Other than that, this place is decent.

I’m surprised by all these lukewarm reviews. I came here on a Saturday night(there was no wait) and it was a great experience through and through. Service was impeccable. Our water glasses never got past half-full, the bus boy was quick to replace all eating utensils after every course or after people accidentally dropped them(I’m also guilty as charged), food arrived quickly, and it was great. We were given an order of bruschetta compliments of the chef, which was also delicious and a great way to start out the night. On the night’s dinner specials was a Hot Combo appetizer dish. Had to order it just because of the description — it included two clams(in shell), eggplant parmigiana and a single shrimp. Each had its own sauce, but all were on the same plate. The clams were delicious in a salty, garlicky sauce. The shrimp was in a heavy cream sauce, and the eggplant parm was self explanatory. My buddy and I were looking for a lighter meal, so we both had tagliatelle dishes. Mine came with chicken, in a creamy green sauce. My buddy had his in a meat sauce. Mine was the better of the two, but both had their own unique tastes and I can wholeheartedly recommend either. Reasonably priced as well; most of the pasta entrees were under $ 18. Will definitely come back!

This place is so close to my apartment, I walk by nearly every day and I’ve never seen it very crowded, which meant I stayed away. However, in the extreme heat of last weekend, while I was doing my laundry next door I saw that they would be playing the Eurocup final(AND rooting for Italy, which was a plus). Timidly I went inside, feeling awkward about sitting at the bar by myself. They were more than happy to have me, and I’m glad I went in. $ 3 drafts were a plus, the semi-limited selection of beer was a minus. I’ll give them a pass on that one, they’re an Italian restaurant and their wine list looked pretty well stocked. Keeping things light, I stuck to a caprese salad. You may think that it’s hard to mess up a caprese salad, but it isn’t: mozzarella too runny, tomatoes not fresh, etc. Mulino did an excellent caprese, and the bruschetta they gave me was pretty fantastic too. The staff was really accomodating(i.e. when I left for ten minutes to put my laundry in the dryer), and were good at not being OVER attentive, which is probably hard when your restaurant is mostly empty. They did end up rooting for Spain though, at the end, but when your own team is down 3 – 0 with only a few minutes to go, I could see why they were turncoats. They get four stars because they had air conditioning, friendly service, and what I had was good enough to make me want to go back and try some of their heartier dishes, so I guess that means they won me over!
