food was greasy… i got the Hawaii fried rice and the pork dumplings. I also got a Thai iced tea and they didn’t put a straw in my order… the food honestly made me want to vomm. i’m never going to come back here. I used to eat at Beet every night back in Park Slope and the food was amazing. since moving to Greenpoint I have yet to find a decent restaurant for Thai food even though there is one on every corner. none of them compare to Beet.

I think i might have finally found the Thai take out spot in W’burg I can vouch for ! Cute space, reasonably priced. I think it’s got a Unilocal sticker on it too so it’s « Unilocal approved» NOTE: Not sure about the«Pasta» names, I’m much more comfortable with names such as «vermicelli, flat rice noodles, egg noodles» as an Asian joint

What it lacks in polish it makes up for in flavor and freshness, perhaps the best pad thai in all of Williamsburg.

This place is ok for decent Thai food based on what I’ve had(pad thai, tom yum soup, dumplings), but the people working there aren’t too bright. I called trying to order the lunch special for takeout, and I wanted to see if I could replace the soup that comes with it with a tom yum for a few extra bucks. The lady on the phone spoke English well enough, but didn’t know what I was talking about. Finally I just said forget it, and decided to eat the extra soup myself(rest of the food was for my gf). Anyway, I go there and they tell me that the soup is only included on the lunch special for eating in. There was no notice of this on the menu, and they didn’t say anything about it on the phone. I would’ve walked out if it wasn’t for my gf, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I don’t know if they were trying to screw me or if they were just stupid, but either way I don’t appreciate it and I won’t ever go back now that my girlfriend is out of the country. Place is in a weird spot and although the grafitti looks cool outside, it looks kinda crappy inside. Also it isn’t THAT cheap given the portions. Too bad, the food wasn’t bad.

A solid 4… possibly 4 and ½ if they care to take the«pasta» dishes off the menu. I’m all about supporting local restaurants, and I would be really happy if Noodle Studio stuck around. The first time I went to Noodle Studio I was blown away. I got the crazy noodles(or funky noodles… not quite sure which one, but they definitely have both on the menu), which were so satisfying. Just the right level of spiciness, saltiness, etc. Not too many vegetables, not too few. We also ordered some of the hot vegetables and they were great. The second time I ordered one of the pasta dishes, not realizing that it was going to be penne pasta. Penne’s not Thai! What the herr, Noodle Studio! I was so upset. I let a month or so pass and then I returned last night to find, that in fact, Noodle Studio is resiliently dominant. I had the basil chili vegetarian duck dish, among other things, and was blown away. I’m not crazy about Thai food in general, but Noodle studio seems to have exceptionally good ingredients, and all of the dishes are seasoned very well. The portions are moderate, and the prices are even more reasonable, making it a healthy choice on a tight budget. There are lots of things on the menu that I still want to try, like the crispy beef salad, the curry fish entrée, etc. The Noodle Studio staff is cute and attentive. This is one of those places where you feel empathy towards the staff, and you can tell that they’re happy that you came. It’s been relatively empty on all of the weeknights when I’ve been, perhaps because it’s hard to spot from Bedford. If you’re reading this, Mr. Noodle Studio Owner Guy or Mrs. Noodle Studio Owner Woman, please take the pasta dishes away. Nicole B. agrees.

Came here because Sea Thai Restaurant was crowded and it was an hour wait. Food here wasn’t bad. Amazing prices after a day of splurging at thrift stores. Gal Khao was pretty good, mm rice noodles. Although the con of this place was that the water tasted funny. I don’t think they washed the glass. unless it was a ritual for them. To have«flavorful«water. Other than that, great atmosphere, fast service, cheap prices.

I came here for a friend’s going away party. The quirky, urban exterior of the restaurant was quite a surprise. How often do you see a restaurant as colorful as Noodle Studio? Most of all, I was impressed with the prices. Considering the medium portion size, the dishes were reasonably priced. Prices go up to $ 10 bucks including beverages. That’s the biggest plus. I wasn’t too happy with the service though. It took me an hour to get my food… maybe it was because I was one of 30 people ordering food. I would still go back anyway.

The first time I ate here I got the Laarb salad and it was quite good. Quality chicken and delicious sauce. The food was also cheap so I thought I had found a nice place to fall back on when I was too lazy to cook. Now I’m not so sure. The second time around I ordered the spicy pasta dish which turned out to be not so great. It was basically just penne pasta with chili sauce. Not horrible but certainly nothing I would order again. The most recent time I ordered from here I got the Laarb salad again and this time it was just terrible. Grisly fatty pieces of chicken and the sauce was just off somehow. I could barely eat it which made me sad because I was hungry. I guess you get what you pay for, but it’s not like this place is DIRT cheap. I am losing faith in the Thai food offerings of Williamsburg.

Awesome Place! I found it on Unilocal and it did not disappoint. The pad thai was one of the best i have ever had, the service great and prices were reasonable. 4 people ate dinner for $ 30, which is almost never the case anywhere I have been. It is not very crowded, probably because it is a bit off the beaten path in terms of location.

Quick, delicious, reasonably priced: it’s definitely some of the best thai delivery in Williamsburg. Could stand to be spicier, but then again I didn’t order anything spicy. Fantastic stuff!

I love this place! It’s a large-ish place but there are always very few people in there, so food gets served very quickly. They have a lunch special that is $ 5(soup and entrée), and although the portions are not huge, their pad thai and pad see ew are actually some of the best I’ve had at any cheap thai place in a while. The waitresses are nice and attentive. When I was poor and first moved here, I ate here all the time.

This is a pretty unique Thai restaurant. They have the typical Thai dishes along with noodle bowls and pasta dishes. I’ve had one of the noodle bowls and their spicy pasta dish; both were delicious. This place is cheap too. A pasta dish is $ 7. One of my favorite places.

Noodle Studio is yummy. It isn’t the GREATESTTHAIFOODEVER, but its great. Go for the lunch special which starts at 12 and ends at 5. This prices are damn cheap. You get a soup appetizer and the meal of your choice off the lunch menu which comes to $ 4.55 and the drink is extra. Great place to get some alone time with a day date. The service is fast and extremely friendly. Never had a bad experience.

I had«Passage to Bangkok» which is small beef pieces on crisp savory vegetables. I found it nice and balanced, the seasoning was perfect. It kind of reminded me a little of Vietnamese ban hoi. The dessert I chose was some fried banana thingy with honey but it had too much honey.

The one bad thing about Greenpoint is the lack of good Thai food. Oh, there are Thai places in abundance but they are no good; and while there are much better options in Williamsburg, none have my favorite dish on the menu, Larb Gai(a room temperature ground chicken salad with an excellent sauce). Then Noodle Studio came to town. Believe me, from the outside, I had little hope if it being anyone’s salvation, especially my own. It looks like a groovy paint it your self pottery shop in a strip mall in Florida in 1993. Inside, however, it’s a different story. Sure, there is still a Spencer’s style glowing color changing orb for decoration, but the women who greet you are super sweet. The prices are excellent even for cheap Thai and hooray! they have Larb on the menu and it was great. Laura’s «Passage To Bangkok» with tender beef, rice, and papaya salad was so good even the waitress seemed excited she was ordering it. I really want to recommend this place because I worry that its unattractive exterior will turn off the appearance-minded locals and I want this place to stay in business. Hopefully word of mouth will help. Since that first visit, I have eaten here over and over and it is always superb!

On a whim I wandered into this bizarrely named establishment just off the B-burg’s main drag. It was virtually empty, and I was hungry, so all I was thinking was«at least it should come quickly». Besides the disturbing dearth of customers on a Saturday night in Williamsburg, the first thing I noticed was the assorted packages of Ramen hanging on the walls as decoration. Then the 80s Madonna started playing, and I knew I was going to be in for a unique experience. I still was unsure of what kind of «Studio» this place was. And whether my food was to be «good» or «bad» I had no idea. Once the food came, though, I knew right away. My Pad See-ew was very solidly executed – the noodles were fresh, the tofu had a nice texture, and they used real bok choi without scattering in any errant vegetables. It was maybe just a little on the sweet side, but certainly less than most of the garbage farong«Thai» you can’t escape in Manhattan. I sampled my friend’s «spicy basil pasta»(not really kee-mao, something entirely different) and it was quite good: strong basil and lemongrass with a very worthy kick of heat. And boy is this place cheap. My dish was a measly 6 bucks, and almost too much food for me to eat(and I was hungry!). Definitely my new go-to Thai noodle place in Williamsburg.

This is by far the best Thai restaurant in Williamsburg, and I do like Chai quite a bit… It beats all the other places because It is so cheap and fresh. Non-hipster and the waitress there is so nice and accommodating. We’ve tried the Sakhoo– steamed tapioca filled with radish, peanut, green leaf lettuce($ 4.95). The texture was so interesting and it was a really fresh and cooling appetizer. No need to order a salad because it comes with a bunch of greens. I ate this with a big dollop of the fresh sambal hot sauce. The Studio Fish($ 12.95) was a crispy whole fish topped with spicy red curry sauce. It was a good size to share between two people. The sauce was so good. YUM. I also asked for Mixed Vegetables with Spicy Green Curry, which wasn’t really on the menu, but of course they could prepare it. HUGE. So good. Fresh bamboo shoots, basil, green beans, etc. Anyways, this is one of my favorite new spots. Not much for atmosphere, but if you want quick, CHEAP, fresh, and the most authentic Thai in Williamsburg, go here.

Grabbed some takeout from here on the way home. Good stuff. Pretty cheap, and seemed healthy enough.(?) Definitely worth a try.
