Consider yourself warned. Over the past 5 years or so, I called these guys regularly when ever I had boiler issues. I realized they had been making up stories and had probably taken some $ 3 or $ 4,000 from me over the past few years by playing games. The work they did on my units probably had an actual cost of a few hundred dollars at the most. Although they did come quickly when summoned, they basically came to take advantage and on top of that they were extraordinarily rude and unprofessional. Plumber and his crew tried to intimidate me to which I responded with less then cordial response. Find a reputable company and don’t let yourself be at the mercy of these guys.

Called 718.373.3030 in the morning, reporting a no-heat situation. The gentleman who answered was named Sal. Sal tells me he can come today, but will need about an hour. We agree to this and I arrange my schedule accordingly(allowing plenty of time for him to come and do his work) Many hours pass, and no contact from Sal. I call back a little after 2pm to inquire, and he tells me he’s in the middle of a big call, and he needs a couple more hours, he’s «wrapping it up now.» I agree, even though my time has already been wasted and I have things to do — realistically, if he told me from the start he couldn’t make it until the afternoon, that would have been perfectly fine — i would have gotten stuff done in the morning. So I wait, being tied up until at least 4pm, with the promise of service soon, and I canceled the remaining obligations i had for the day. Better late than never, right? Yeah. F that. Those couple of hours pass, with no callback. At 7pm I call again — Sal explains that the job took longer than expected,(so you lied to me when you told me you were wrapping it up, 5 hours earlier.) — but said he’s «coming right now» and he’ll be here«within the hour.» It is now midnight, and i’m writing this review(and still without heat). I don’t know who this clown thinks he is — but wasting an entire day of my time is BS. If you didn’t have time for the job just say so, and i’d either schedule for the following day or call someone else. Stay far away from this shit show, folks.

I did mistake to call(718) 373‑3030 for service to fix boiler gas valve electronic plate problem. Tony and Jef came in my house. Gas valve has been changed to simple one. They bring also old used cut-off valve and replace my existed valve. I paid $ 800 for that.(Ref: brand new gas valve you can buy for $ 70 and brand new cut-off for $ 169.) After this«2 men hours job», on next morning we waked up with headache — strong gas smell(!!) and, in addition, water leak from the new installed cut-off valve. Actually it is winter time — February. I have called for emergency(718) 373‑3030 from 9AM up to noon and finally these people came to me at about 1PM(fest respond). They spend 2 hours trying to fix their cut-off scrap using broken water sensor gasket, but nothing. Their boss and owner Mr. Belagio proposed me to pay additional $ 100 and he will install new cut-off. And, at the same time, he proposed to install me brand new boiler and water tank only for 5−6K(???). Supper! They can’t fix one valve, but ready for the next BIGGGG step. I see this is too easy to have a plumber license in NY if people like these don’t care about their reputation. When I informed Mr. Belagio that I am not satisfied with his service, he said that he will send me refund of $ 300 — but he never did it. I will stay away from«NY City Boilers» and their«pROFESSIONALS»
