Park Avenue Funeral Home

I never thought I would have to use the services of a funeral home. I recently lost my husband to cancer, when my husband was in hospice he made me promise not to keep his body lingering. I received a high recommendation from one of the parishoners and the priest from my parish about using the service at Park Avenue Funeral Home. I am truly grateful for the recommendation. My husband died far too young and did not want his body to be placed in a morgue. I called and I was a nervous wreck but Nick was an angel. He spoke with such sincerity and handled every detail. My husband was prepared with so much respect. His hair and facial hair was prepared the way my husband always shaved. This was the hardest ordeal I ever had to face. I showed Nick a photo of my husband and didn’t need to do anything. Nick and his staff handled everything for me and were so compassionate throughout the process. Every detail was handled with care and thoughtfulness and he looked like he was resting.
My husband had approximately 500 plus people attend his funeral and Nick and his staff were present and I felt secure and they constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. I felt like I was in the care of a family member. My young boys arrived late to the funeral with my parents and they broke down. Many people swarmed out of instincts to comfort them and I was able to get to a private area where Nick stood guard preventing anyone from entering as per my request. My husband’s burial was painful but the mass was beautiful, there were 29 plus vehicles and he managed to have someone direct the vehicles and provide a police escort.
When my husband’s death certificate arrived, I received a call from Nick and again his staff was thoughtful. They are a blessing and sent my husband to his final resting place like a king. I know my husband would have been happy with the final outcome of his service. Nick honored my husband’s wish and my husband never went to a morgue, he picked him up from hospice within an hour of my losing him. He was in the care of an angel from the moment I lost him. Do not use this Funeral home for your loved ones who have passed. I unfortunately went through a God awful and disturbing experience with Park Ave Funeral home and how they treated the remains of my late Father. In addition, the funeral director provided awful customer service, disregard, and a complete lack of respect for the loss of my Father. I would have paid to NOT use them.
