Great dentist and great staff. She talks through everything and is very nice. She even has weekend appointments, which is much easier than getting out of work. I highly recommend!

So you know how when you go to a department store to shop for jeans, and then you end up finding a sale and you end up coming home with like 2 – 3 pairs and they actually fit without you trying too hard?!
That’s how i felt after finding Park Dentistry!
I used to think that if I can walk away from a dental visit 1) without drowning in my own spit during a cleaning, 2) without blood stains and plaque facials from them digging into my gums, and 3) without a sore mouth because the dentist thought they could fit their entire hand in my mouth while doing my check up. I had a good dental visit. But now, my standards are higher after being a Park Dentistry patient.
Miss Brittany, the hygienist, takes her time to make sure that she does everything she can to minimize the pain/​discomfort EVERY cleaning (not just the first one to get you to come back the next time), and you get those nifty glasses to wear so that you don’t random droplets of plaque in your eyes… she consistently checks in to make sure that the sucker thingy isn’t stuck to your inner cheek, and numbs your gums before everything cleaning for ease of pain. My toes thank her because they aren’t curled and scrunched in my shoe from anxiety.
When it comes to the dentist, Dr Milito can only be blamed for being thorough. On my very first visit, she walked me through the process of checking my teeth, and you get to see it all via a screen that showed me exactly what she’s talking about. Of course she’ll go over the normal things like cavities, plaque build up and whether I’ve been a good girl at flossing, but she also points out things like receding gums or funky grinding patterns on my teeth. all of which are not major issues now but potential future issues that i’ll have to deal with down the road if i’m not aware.
Perhaps these are things that other dentists consider as «normal wear and tear teeth issues» and they aren’t major issues at the time, but isn’t the point of a dentist is oral hygiene and preventive care? It’s like going to a doctor who doesn’t tell you about the minor cholesterol build up in your arteries you have now because «it’s not a major issue now», but you know,. it only eventually leads to strokes and all.
Anyways, I’ve been coming to the office now for almost 2 years and have never had a bad visit. My pearly white chompers are still going strong thanks to these ladies, and even though i have to wear a really unsexy nightguard to avoid grinding my teeth at night (per Dr Milito’s suggestion), i guess i have the 16 hours of awake time to look good!

I went here with a groupon and everyone was nice enough. But they recommended that I take out almost all my crowns, fill cavities, yada yada. The total estimate they gave me was up to 6,000! I know I have bad teeth, but this would bankrupt me! Now I know this was a scam because 3 months later I went to another dentist and was told «no major issues.»

This review is unfortunate, because I choose to see this dentist from all the positive reviews here on Unilocal.
The two stars are solely for Dr. Milito and her hygentist team, who were wonderful, sweet, and kind.
The reason for the lack of 5 stars is two fold —
1 — the disorganization of her office is something to be alarmed about. I got a filling done here, then less than a week later I was in need of a root canal on that same tooth. When my endodontist called, numerous times, they were given hesitent and evasive responses, like ‘Yeah, I think it was tooth 15′. You ‘THINK’?? You don’t have any records? Or perhaps a doctor who performed the procedure to ask? They were extremely difficult to work with, and made it hard for my endodontist to get any background on what was wrong. Just completely unnecessary and uncalled for. The first secretary that I worked with had an attitude that was uncalled for too.
2 — bad/​lack of advice. Dr. Milito was very sweet, and spent some time with me, but she was like a bad news machine, that actually had me crying at the end of my first visit. She outlined 4 crowns that I needed, a silver filling that has to be replaced and then crowned, etc. When I asked some older dentists, and my endodontist who has given me solid & proven advice in the past, was just excessive. Turns out, I only have one cavity thats urgent, but the rest, is stuff thats fine for a couple of years (insurance benefit max out at a certain amount each year keep in mind), or stuff that can be done over time. What I was really more concerned about was my bite and my jaw pain, but that was an after thought to Dr. Milito. Also, there was a clear sign that my root was dying when i had my filling done — as pointed out by my endodontist when I was giving him the background that the office wouldn’t — and Dr. Milito never mentioned anything or warned me that a possible root canal may be needed in that area.
Overall, my experience here was a disappointment, and would find it difficult to recommend her office. Finding good a dentist is difficult, unfortunately I have yet to find one in Brooklyn, and have turned to one out of state near my other home in VT.

I’ve been using Park Slope Dentistry for over a year, and could not be more pleased with their services and professionalism. I think I became aware of the office as a result of buying a groupon or some such thing for a cleaning about a year and a half ago. Was so pleased with my first visit that I purchased a plan they offer which provides 2 cleanings a year and full mouth xrays. So happy I did. The plan also provides a 10% discount on all other dental services. Who knew I’d slip on a carpet in my home resulting in e fracture of my two upper front teeth. Two root canals and two crowns are the perscribed result. Yeah it’s a bit expensive, but that only makes me appreciate the value of a 10% discoint even more. I have never been exposed to more professional dental services than I’ve received at Prospect Park Dentistry. From Alexis at the front desk, to their hygenists, to Dr. Molito and her team of specialists, I’ve found them all to be extrordinary.

This is one of the best dentists i have ever been to. Dr. Milito is a consumate professional, and takes time to meet with and outline a course of action. She is also a lovely person! The staff is so friendly, helpful and organized. The office is attractive and the jazz is helpful for a relaxed, mellow experience. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

i can’t say enough great things about Park Dentistry. I had put off going to dentist because of several really bad experiences in the past. I found a groupon for Park Dentistry. While I did need a couple of fillings, the experience of getting those fillings was totally painless, which was a first for me. All of their staff is genuinely caring, and Dr. Milito is truly interested in you getting great care, as comfortably as possible. She tells you about what is going on as it happens as well as how to keep your teeth healthy overall in a way that is truly helpful. She’s also very kind to top it all off. The office itself is very pleasant and welcoming as well — a rare thing in Brooklyn in my experience. If you’re looking for a great dentist in Brooklyn, this is it.

I had taken my 4 and 2 yr olds to a dentist on 5^th Ave for their first-​ever appointments and had a terrible experience — they kept us waiting about an hour and a half for our appointment, by which time everyone was cranky, and it was downhilll from there. But, I didn’t think it could ever be a great experience… it’s impossible for a pediatric dentist appointment to be a pleasure, right? Well, Park Dentistry is a totally different story. I agree with everything Randy F says, and on top of that I’ll add that Dr Liz was incredibly kid-​friendly, but thorough and attentive to all aspects of their dental health. Plus, the staff even asked my kids’ favorite TV shows and ran them on the monitor during their appointment. This is also my first review anywhere, ever, but I had to somehow thank the staff at Park Dentistry for such a wonderful experience.

Went for a groupon deal and got far more than I had bargained for. Alexis is very friendly and funny — makes you feel right at home. Dr. Milito is friendly, professional, caring, and everything in between. Highly recommended, and will be returning in the future… solid practice!

Alexis at the front desk is smart, funny, has a great memory and creates a wonderful energy for all patients.
Dr Molita is incredibly gentle, talented and is the first dentist that has helped me really understand how to take care of my teeth. I have terrible teeth just because of my heredity… they look good, but have no strength so I have had a lot of DENTIST experience and most have been challenging, somd bad and most crazy expensive.
Park Dentistry is everything but… and Dr Molita is smart and professional but kind. so you aren’t embarrassed or ashamed.
ALSO, the office is pretty, smells good (not like a dentists office) and so far everyone she has hired is of the same high quality as Alexis and Dr. Molita.
Absolutely recommended!!!

Brought my kids here when they offered a deal to their school. Couldn’t be happier. The staff is friendly, accommodating and certainly interested in ensuring my kids health and making sure we are happy patients. It is not the lowest price office in Brooklyn, but I believe you should give your teeth and mouth quality care. Dr. Molita has created a wonderful practice and my family has been in 4 times since our first visit in October. They text me appt reminders and I appreciate their flexibility.

Went to Park Dentistry this morning, and had such a good experience, i felt compelled to write a glowing review as soon as possible!
I find going to the dentist’s office to be quite an anxiety-​inducing chore. Unfortunately, that anxiety has kept me from my regular visits longer than I care to admit. Two years ago, I had a traumatic experience at a Manhattan dental office (scathing review forthcoming) that left me with partial paralysis on the right side of my face. It has since fixed itself, but the anxiety lingers. So I was terrified to go to my appt., but the staff at Park Dentistry immediately assuaged my fears. Alexis at the front desk is just lovely, as is the lady who took my x-​rays. Dr. Milito was as gentle as possible, and explained everything in detail. There were no hidden costs, and in fact, I found today’s visit, and my plan laid out in the coming months to be reasonably priced.
When Alexis asked me what I wanted to watch on Netflix during my next visit, and made a note to have Battlestar Galactica ready, I knew I found my dentist.
I highly recommend this place!

You’d figure you get what you pay for 9 out of 10 times. This was one of the exceptions to the rule.
I purchased a living social deal almost a year ago for a cleaning, x-​ray, and dental exam, but i got much more than I bargained for. The staff was über friendly from the minute I walked in the door. Not only that, but they really seemed to have my health in mind in suggesting a plethora of options for the non-​insured in dealing with my teeth. The doctor also took her time in esplaining (yes, that’s my Ricky Ricardo) exactly why she suggested the course of action she did, and even though I may have only been a one-​time customer, had no problem sending out for lab results just in case I wanted to come back.
Going to the dentist is supposed to be for most a dreadful experience. But there are no Dr. Acula’s here, so be like Dr. Steve Brule and check it out (season 2) ya turkey!

I bought a groupon or something equivalent for a cleaning, x-​rays and oral cancer screening… I will not be back. I know you shouldn’t wait too long between cleanings but I don’t have dental insurance and I don’t make a lot of money so I do my best at home. That is no reason to make me feel like a total idiot but that’s what this dentist did. It is actually a couple months later and I am STILL thinking about how bad I felt when I left. I went in mostly for the cancer screening… having quit smoking after over 20 years I was very concerned. I even told the dentist that I has lumps removed from my mouth a couple of years earlier and she didn’t even ask if biopsies were done or what they were… very troubling. She also never really checked for oral cancer… I know this now after going to another dentist and actually getting the proper examination. Then comes «Are you happy with your smile?» Answer yea and you’ll get a cold, dead silence. Yes my teeth are not neon white, yes my top teeth are a tiny bit chipped and yes my bottom teeth have some crowding. I am comfortable with that and happy with how I look. Again… for a moment she made me feel awful. I have TMJ and a friend of mine got a great affordable guard for her dentist so I asked about it. The one they tried to sell me was $ 500! Seriously? My new dentist just made one custom fir for me for less than $ 200. The only thing I did agree with is that I should get the deep cleaning soon which is around $ 1500 but Park Dentistry is not where I am going to get it done. Oh, and it turned out I have 2 more lumps to be removed from my lip… something the dentist should have noticed if she only looked. I’ll be getting them biopsied next week thanks to my new dentist who’s also doing the deep cleaning for $ 800. Maybe finding a dentist with a groupon is not the best way… lesson learned. Park Slope and it’s stuck up twice the price attitude can stick it.

Had my appointment a few hours ago, using my voucher from livingsocial for a cleaning/​check up.
The staff is super nice, feels like it serves its neighborhood well, and it looks very clean and modern and professional inside. The waiting room has nice modern leather chairs and you can have water or tea while you wait– they play classical music over the speakers.
Dr Sophia Milito is cool. She took her time with the teeth cleaning and I thought it was a thorough job.
For the uninsured, they have an «oral health savings plan» for $ 295 a year which includes 2 regular checkups, 2 regular cleanings, and all xrays. Then you get 10% off any surgical services performed.
But I’m not sure how that compares to getting surgery with traditional insurance.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. I went on a Thursday and I was seen right away.

I got in here via the Living Social deal as well but I’ll definitely be back. This is a relatively new practice and thoroughly modern. All staff are incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional. Like another reviewer said, almost like going to a spa. Nicest visit to the dentist I have ever had.

I got a fabulous deal here through Living Social for a full checkup, cleaning and xray. There were absolutely no hidden charges or pressure to get more work done. Everyone in the office was so friendly and welcoming. There was relaxing music… almost felt like being in a spa. I have never had such a pleasant medical/​dental experience.

she is a thorough dentist. the office is very nice. for those without dental insurance, i would suggest going somewhere less expensive. definitely park slope prices… one filling costs $ 225. if i were rich i would want this woman to be my dentist, but since im not i have to find someone with more reasonable prices.
