Specialties
I specialize in beginning and intermediate children and adults from 3 – 100.
I offer twice yearly student recitals. I am also a composer and sometimes I write pieces for students which makes the experience unique.
Lessons take place on a 6’foot concert grand piano in a private teaching studio, so all your lessons will sound beautiful.
I am conveniently located steps from major subway lines (2,3) 35 min from midtown Manhattan.
Please contact me at 718−636−6010 for further inquiries, or to schedule a lesson. Let’s talk about what you or your child would like to learn.

I love music and I love sharing what I know.
I did my BA in Music at the University of California at Davis. My MFA in Piano Performance is from Mills College in Oakland, California. My thesis concert was primarily twentieth century music. My most well known piano teachers were Bernard Abramowich and Nathaniel Patch. I also completed an MA in Composition at Mills (with Robert Ashley) and have quite a few CDs of my music commercially available. You can get them from amazon under Classical/Beth Anderson.
I studied voice primarily with Donna Petersen of the San Francisco Opera and Nadine Salonites. I also studied Indian singing with the composer, Terry Riley. I taught singing for the College of New Rochelle.
I studied recorder at New York University in the process of getting a teaching certificate for New York State and City.
