The vegetarian sushi roll options are plentiful and more creative than most places in Park Slope. The mango-avocado roll was refreshing and sweet and delicious. A bit on the pricy side, especially when you ask for brown rice, but generally a delicious little place for dinner. It’s very rarely busy, so the service is fast and friendly. Don’t bother with the thai or the appetizers, neither are very good.

In the mood for sushi after ten days in Espana and gazpachoed out. Lunch special of $ 8 for nice sushi, well presented, served with soup or salad and choice of edamame, gyoza, shumai or spring roll. Other lunch items run for $ 7-$ 9 bangers and range from Japanese to Thai and looking around the other dishes looked pretty decent.

The sushi is not as good as nearby Geido, and the Thai isn’t as good as nearby Long Tan, but if you find yourself wanting both at once, as I do more often than seems normal, this is a solid choice. Both sushi and Thai are tasty, sushi specialty rolls are creative, and the waitstaff are friendly. Again, there are better choices in the area, but Picasso is nevertheless quite yummy.

Pretty piss poor thai food. The pad thai was amazingly tasteless, and the beef negimaki was syrupy sweet(yes, I am aware it is Japanese, and usually sweet, but this was just gross). The rolls were OK. Asian fusion? More like Asian confusion. At least they deliver quickly.

Decent sushi when we went out here for NY. I loved the fact that they had soooo many rolls! I guess I am not a true sushi-eater since I don’t eat too much of the raw stuff so Picasso was good for me! Liked the décor and the space was comfortable, which is hard to say for some places in NY. Prices are decent and thought that it was interesting that they had other types of Asian food– hence the name Picasso Asian Fusion. Good eating experience.

I really like this restaurant, good food, nice atmosphere. I usually go there every 2 weeks and enjoy it every time.

Great standby for sushi. It’s not necessarily the freshest, but it’s quality. And the staff recognize good customers, and remember your order and tastes. They make solid recommendations.

Picasso might be an appropriate name for this fusion joint, cos they sure mix up flavors and serve them in somewhat strange ways. The space keeps with its fusion identity by pairing sleek tables and chairs with tacky paper lanterns and bizarre pictures from Rome and other places. We ordered the following: White Dragon Maki — Spicy scallop, white tuna, and avocado. Delicious. Special Eel Maki — It came buried under a mound of crunchy tempura flakes. Mmm. Only complaint was the lack of eel sauce. Dynamite Maki — Black pepper tuna, cucumber top with spicy tuna, red pepper and tobiko. Least favorite. Nothing but spice, and not in a good way. Fancy Roll — don’t remember the ingredients, except that it included pineapple and was too much sweet not enough sushi. Apparently fusion is not for me. Fugi Roll — came as a mountain, was a little difficult to master, but I am all about the one chomp & chew method of eating sushi and went for it anyway. It was yummy, also had plenty of crunch and spice and flavors packed in there. The mayo was a little odd but actually offset the spice, and as gross as it is who doesn’t like mayo? There was a sixth roll, but I can’t for the life of me remember its name. But the food was good, and I learned that I am a traditionalist when it comes to sushi. Bill came to $ 26 each for three sushi food babies. So satisfied.(and you can order online)

«Well, at least they’re true to their name. Everything’s fresh, exciting and shit’s where it doesn’t belong.» This is what I said after sampling my dining partner’s special sushi roll. On the menu, it was supposed to be tuna with pineapple. That sounded good. What he got was tuna sushi with a weird white sauce drizzled over it. Coconut milk. Pineapple juice. OHMYGOD, THECHEFVOMITED A PINACOLADAONYOURTUNAROLL! It was pretty foul. I had the crispy duck salad. The duck was soggy pieces of fat. The pineapple was from a can. The greens were fresh. Fried rice was made with fresh ingredients, but bland and boring. So, I guess, go here if nothing else is open and you don’t want to risk food poisoning.

Am I truly the first review? It is an honor. 99% of the time when I dine in Park Slope, it is at Taro. However, this evening, we decided to try something new… and while we did not give up sushi(we are, afterall, obsessed), we decided to try a different place. We chose Picasso. Picasso is Thai/Japanese fusion, but it seems more like a restaurant that has both than one who mixes the two. We enjoyed a tuna/mango salad with wasabe dressing, and then followed up with an assortment of ala carte sushis, followed by special rolls. The service was superb, as were the creatively made rolls. Apple with spicy king crab? Yes please! The price was fair, and the portions so generous that we didn’t even require dessert!

Even though is new but the sushi is very very fresh and enviroment is very comforting for your meals with family or friends. Remember to try their chillean sea bass with miso sauce is the best.
