Responsive, quick and eager to help. They helped call my doctor several times to get my prescription faster. Rose is kind and remembers her customers. It’s nice to have a non-​chain neighborhood pharmacy that is willing to go the extra mile to make insurance company bureaucracy a little less onerous.

Wow. This place is ridiculous. My doctor called in for my prescription one morning and I had to go in THREE times before they finally gave me my prescription. The first time I tried to pick up (on the evening after the order was placed) it seemed like the pharmacist didn’t even realize my order came in. Without an apology or even some inkling of sympathy, I was told to come back the following day. I was annoyed but whatever, it happens every once in a while, right? Then I came back the following day as was requested and lo and behold… it STILL wasn’t ready! I was told they had to order the meds from another company because their usual supplier was out. Okay… well if that was genuinely the case, then shouldn’t someone have called and informed me to come pick it up on another day??? Thanks for wasting my time, guys.
Thats not all, though. My boyfriend has also had issues with them not filling orders correctly. He went to go pick up recently and they completely forgot to order one of the meds… GEE SOUNDS FAMILIAR DOESNT IT???
I was hoping to make them my local pharmacy since I live nearby, but they really screwed things up too many times. And if they were more apologetic and friendly, I would’ve overlooked it, maybe. But damn. Everytime I come in the pharmacist behind the counter just seems unenthused about his job. And it shows, judging by how many times he’s screwed up our orders one way or another. It’s really careless and unprofessional. It makes me wonder if he was one of those kids who was coerced into a career of med/​pharm by his parents. Anyway, we will definitely not be returning…

I really enjoy this little pharmacy. It is not fancy but it is cheap and the woman behind the counter actually remembered me when I went back a month later for a refill!

I live a block away from Prospect Drugs and have been coming here since I moved here over three years ago. I first went because it was conveniently located — I still go because this place is top notch.
Rose — who works in the pharmacy — is AMAZING. If she sees me walk in, my medication is ready for me on the counter by the time I get back there. She’s incredibly friendly and helpful. All the people who work behind the scenes at the pharmacy are also great.

Love the staff of this pharmacy. I’ve been going here for years now. When I call in my prescription and pick it up, I’m in and out in less than 5 mins. They know me now, so when the lady in the back sees me, no matter who else is waiting, she looks up, sees me, smiles, pulls it from the basket, hands it to me, I sign for it and she wishes me a great day! THATS service Ive NEVER had anywhere! On a couple occasions, I had to be out of town and ran low on my prescription, I called them and the pharmacist fedexed it to me at no additional cost and I had it the next day! I’m a fan for life!

I try to support small pharmacies, but I have had some problems here. I have congestion and periodically buy generic sudafed. Since sudafed is now behind the counter, I have to ask the pharmacist for it. I understand that that is the law (a law I disagree with– but that is a tangent), but giving me the side eye when I buy it is unnecessary. I am not buying enough to make meth, only enough to be able to breathe– Um Helllloooo! But today was the last straw, I called to find out if they had stock of my new prescription, which happens to be a controlled substance, and was transferred to the pharmacist. He said, «no, we don’t carry it.» I said, «really? why?» and then he hung up on me. Not cool.

Very friendly staff. Variety of products… plus a generous selection of freshly roasted nuts?
The pharmacy is really the only reason I go here because they’re fast and the store is in a convenient location.

Sweet staff.
Good stock for the size of the store.
Great location.
Decent prices for the hood.
Prospect Drugs is top on my list for the above reasons, but mostly it is usually in the right place at just the right time.

Where new in town Brooklyn Gangstas get dey toiletries and whatnot.

Overall this was a good experience. My dermatologist sent me there with a ton of coupons for skin & hair medications. The wait wasn’t long. They didn’t give me any problems. I will be back.

One prescription refill at Prospect Drug, and all the benefits of going to a local pharmacy over the big-​chain varieties are confirmed. I’ve been going to this drug store since I moved into the neighborhood in early 2000. In the past 12 years, plenty of big chain drugstores and a Target have come into the neighborhood — but there is something to be said about the neighborhood, family-​owned business. Trust me, one day you will be knocked out by the flu, a kidney infection, or have a child with a raging ear ache. And you will want a pharmacist, like any one of the kind ladies or men behind the counter at Prospect Drug, who will pick up the phone and call your doctor, dial your insurance company, delivery meds if necessary, or simply rush your order after seeing your crying, fevered child. Plus, they will order anything for you and have it the same day or next. Dedicated, compassionate, helpful small-​town service right in the middle of big-​Brooklyn, New York.

Small but a decent Pharmacy or corner store. Depending on when you go the wait for your prescription can be long. Staff is pretty friendly and informative. Called in for information on my child’s prescription and they were helpful. I love the roasted nuts they sell in the front. Very convenient getting my prescription here instead of traveling far. Cant complain here, I give it an A-​ok.

This place gives you great personal service. They remember me by name every time I’m in there, and they even charged me less for a prescription because they did not have the name brand one that my insurance would cover. I will definitely come back again and again.

Been going to this drug store for years but they have been slipping. All about supporting the local pharmacy but they make you want to go somewhere else. In fact, I do but my mother still gets her medicine her but she tired of them. One time the doctor since the wrong dosage of a prescription and they didn’t check it in the system against her other prescriptions. Good thing my mother noticed because I’d be own my own and a definite law suit would happen. She fills all here prescriptions here and they use to check. Come on pharmacy keep up with the times.
NOTORIOUS for partial prescriptions talking about I OWE YOU. What if I don’t want to come back but now I have to because you owe me meds. If you told me in the 1^st place I would have taken my prescriptions elsewhere from jump or ask me if thats even okay, don’t make that call on your own.

I had a great experience here. The pharmacist and cashier were empathetic, polite, and were clearly knew what they were doing. I’d definitely go out of my way to shop here again.
