I was really excited about this location because I hate Pathmark and was glad to see it go. Also, Stop&Shop is great and has a much better selection than Pathmark. However, this location sucks. The lines are ridiculously long and majority of the cash registers are empty. The one in Flatbush is WAY better.

I have weird mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, my inner fat kid is really REALLY amazed at the gigantic wall of poptarts(on sale to boot!) and the plethora of eccentric junk food in general … On the other hand, my reasonable adult self is mortified at some of the junk they sell here. BUTANYWAY — whether it’s kale or an economy-sized bag of cookies you’re looking for, you’ll likely find it here for a decent price. Curiously, some of the produce isn’t actually that well priced, while junk food and processed stuff is usually dirt cheap(I suppose that’s the general model of supermarkets in America these days though). Pick and choose wisely. Also — don’t expect anyone to assist you and DO expect the customers here to be some of the worst. It’s not uncommon to have to dart and dash around oblivious folks scooting around on their iPhones and nearly running you over with their carts, or getting some attitude from randos. Still, I stock up on my plain Greek yogurt here and will tolerate it for that alone. It’s no more or less depressing than any other huge store around Atlantic Ave.

Stop and Shop — more like STOP shopping here. Worst customer service ever. While I understand working here must be horrible, why treat customers like garbage? Clearly a help yourself situation. After approaching 4 different counters, I ended up ringing myself up. It took forever just to buy 2 small items. Prices are great, but it’s not worth it! Some employees completely ignored me even when I spoke to them directly. Pretty sure I’m not a ghost…

My first time here. Decent sales prices, but will not be coming back. Set up of the store is not appealing, it looks like a scaled down version of Pathmark. The quality of some of the fruits were horrible.

Well definitely major improvement over pathmark but at the same time grossly overpriced on much of the items with those prices one might as well just go shop at the so called health foods and specialty stores instead and based upon my observations businesses like this just does not seem to know or to be all that interested in working with their clienteles all they ever care about is excessive profits much of the people in the store was almost certainly spending well above what they should and not to mention their carts as per usual seemed to have more useless junk frozen tv dinner than actual proper nutrition

Went to this location for the first time yesterday morning. Love the prices and the wide selection of items(organic included). My only suggestion is to have more cashiers open(at least 2) but i will definitely be returning to get more groceries.

Stop & Shop, previously Pathmark, is the go-to market in Downtown Brooklyn where you can shop & save. They carry Nature’s Promise products, which are organic & actually affordable. The brand offers fresh salads, breads, snacks, & other items. In order to get the sales from the weekly circular, fill out a quick application at the register & you’ll receive a Stop & Shop discount card. Downside: the check-out stations. What happened to the rest of it? They are shorter so I always feel rushed to organize & pack my things into bags. Upside: the deli section. They sell Boars Head products & Pathmark didn’t. Enough said. If you live in the neighborhood, you won’t be disappointed with the new take over by Stop & Shop.

3 Bright shining stars for the bright lights, wide aisles and cleanliness but the Customer service definitely needs some improving… Specifically, there’s a cashier by the name of Xazavier that did NOT feel like working last night. Although I only had 7 items, he told me twice(as if I hadn’t heard him the first time) that his lane was only for shoppers that had 12 items or less. NEWSFLASH: Although 2 turkeys might look big, it’s still just TWO turkeys. I literally had 2 turkeys, collard greens, a gallon of milk, orange juice, ginger ale and cabbage but this dude had major attitude. He packed my bags and placed each one on the far end of the area even when I extended my hand to put the bag in my shopping cart. Can you say petty? With the exception of Xazavier, there was a pleasant male in the freezer department. For now, I’m only giving Stop and Shop 2 stars because twas’ the weekend before thanksgiving and some staple items such as pie crusts were not available. I’ll be back though.

It makes me so happy that this Stop n Shop has replaced Pathmark! I’ve only been twice since the changeover but it’s very apparent that it’s a serious upgrade and a much more enjoyable shopping experience. Conveniently located across from Atlantic Terminal, you can find pretty much any grocery item you’d need here. The store is much cleaner and better organized and while many of the staff is the same, they feel a lot friendlier and more helpful. The produce, deli, and bakery sections are now much more attractive(and hopefully better quality) and they actually have more than two registers open so you don’t have to spend have your day in line. I’m excited to make this our weekly grocery destination!

This is my refuge from the«meh» to downright awful grocery stores in NYC. Guess b/c this used to be Pathmark is why I’d not seen it before. The sales are great, it was clean, well organized and if I can’t find a good Stop & Shop in my area, I think I’d come back here just to go to this one. My only con is the lack of scanners that you’ll find in Long Island, where you can scan as you shop and when you get to the register simply scan the bar code so your order comes up & you can pay. I was lucky it wasn’t crowded on a weekday morning but I’m sure the weekends are hell if the«nice» one I went to in Queens once was any indication. Why, Stop & Shop, WHY do we not have those scanners in ALL the locations? NYC dwellers need efficiency and speed in their days.

Interesting enough, I’m the first to post a review! This store used to be Pathmark until A&P sold it to them and opened up Stop and Shop. I like this one better than its sister store on Tilden Avenue due to availability of items, as that store is very crowded and the lines are way too long anyway, yet I will say that they do have competitive prices at the store on Tilden and I would be more inclined to shop there than at this location. I will definitely say that the store on Tilden is much cheaper than the store by AT. This grocery store has some of the best deals I’ve seen. You can buy a slice of cake for $ 1, apple pie for $ 3.99, Perdue chicken legs(seven pack for less than $ 2) and Perdue chicken thighs(four or five pack for less than $ 3), the four pack of my favorite Greek Yogurt Fage for $ 4.99 and there’s a bakery whose goods are delish! I love the convenience of the new renovated self checkout lines, and it’s fully stocked and clean. Although I still can’t stand the nasty fried chicken smell, the store is in a great location and has lots of customers. They also sell Honey crisp apples at $ 1.97/lb. They sell my favorite Seagrams wine coolers for a buck each. The produce here… eh, be careful buying your bananas. It’s close to every train station here, making it easily accessible to those in the Greater NYC area. There’s a bunch of goods that are sold here and I definitely recommend you stop by here in order to buy your groceries. Sans the long lines, I definitely like the fact that it’s at Atlantic Terminal.
