Prospect Park Pedal Boats

Save your money and do not rent pedal boats in Prospect Park. We rented a boat today only to find ourselves stuck with a broken boat. We had to be towed back in. The back pedals would not turn at all. When I asked for a refund, I was told that that was not possible.

While the staff may be very nice and charming kids the condition that they give you the boats in is completely horrendous ! I feel like it is a robbery of my money and its so sad that this is the only thing in the area like this. The boats are very small and outdated. WIth the money they (/​PROSPECT PARK) makes they can afford to get new boats! more updated modern ones where peddles dont break as I saw a times.
They just prepare the boat and send it back out on tje water, only to break again.
But the main reason I am reviewing them is because it’s just upsetting the condition they will give a paddle boat. THEY DO NOT CLEAN NOR CHECK BOATS AFTER USE !!! I understand there is usually a line & theyre rushing to collect everyone ‘s money but it takes a minute to inspect boats! So just do it

Clean the boat between clients. Not with bleach mop but at least remove dirty water excess /​dirt/​food/​garbage from the people before current patron. They gave me a boat in disgusting condition and I mentioned it to the staff and they just said something like «he’s nasty what do you want me to do «.I was very displeased with this service and I will never do this again
