Working with Shay restored my faith in humanity. That may sound dramatic, but after searching for apartments in Manhattan and Brooklyn, working with countless people who left me feeling a little bit icky (I want to be a person, not just a transaction!), having Shay and Topaz take the time to understand my needs really made a difference. Shay genuinely cared that we find a new place to live that made us happy, and he went out of his way again and again during the process. He and Topaz even took my stepfather out for a hot cocoa on Father’s Day so that I could take some measurements of what was to be our new apartment, so he’s won the hearts of my whole family. I cannot recommend him enough, in fact, I’ve already passed his information on to a few friends who will be looking for apartments soon!

Being relatively new to NYC, I’ve been a little skeptical about the agents here. Shay really went MANY steps further, than all other agents I’ve dealt with, to make sure my roommates and I had the space we needed. He was there throughout the whole process and made the transition to a new space in a new city really easy :)

Shay was an incredibly helpful, swift and efficient broker — my favorite kind (and rare in New York). He made the experience easy and as painless as it gets… which I appreciated. He’s also a genuinely nice person and has checked in to make sure I’m comfortable in my new home.

Shay didn’t try to «sell» me anything. He let me know that the apartment was great, but also told me the challenges of the space. I still get emails from him about how I’m doing in the new apartment. He wants to make sure you get what you want, and with him you will!

We were looking for a property in Bed Stuy and Flatbush from 2013 – 14 and Shay spent a lot of time showing us houses. We came pretty close to buying a couple of them but in the end went with a place another agent had showed to us. Shay’s a nice guy and we were grateful to him for his time and attention.
