Only ordered take-out from here but the food is always consistent. My default is always the chicken gyro and it’s really huge. They put a lot more meat than other places. Their hummus and pita is ok but not the best. I hope to make my way to visit the restaurant one of these days.

We will definitely be coming back here. The food is solid, the service is good, and the place is nice. I’m sure it’s been said already, but the white sauce is delicious! I had a gyro and friend had the meat platter, all yummy. If I had to nitpick, I’d say some of their meat is a bit too salty, but it’s all cooked very impressively-this coming from someone who is super picky about meat. Tried the rice pudding, it was just okay, but the other desserts sound good. Come here! Oh and the spinach pastry is one of the best I’ve tried, very flavorful.

Waited almost 2 hours for a delivery last night. Called after an hour and half saying the order hadn’t come. The woman answered said the order went out but she couldn’t tell me when. Tried back again fifteen minutes later and there was just a busy signal as though the phone was off the hook. When the delivery finally came, I said really nicely to the guy: «That took almost 2 hours. What happened?» The guy, who my husband said looked liked one of the owners, just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Didn’t even offer a polite apology. I know that place gets busy. We’ve waited an hour for orders in the past and so we didn’t have huge expectations, but 2 hours is ridiculous. We did it through Seamless and they gave me an estimated arrival time of 45 minutes. IN addition, when we opened the bag of food, something from one of the salads had leaked all over the bottom of the bag. They included plastic cutlery and napkins even though we requested they don’t. The food wasn’t awful, but definitely not worth a two hour wait. Generally, they have really good gyros, but beyond that, the salads we ordered were mediocre.

I went for lunch with my husband a few days ago. The first thing I noticed was the waitress, she sneezed right where they keep the glasses. She didn’t go to wash her hands, she reached for the glasses which grossed me out. 2nd thing that pissed me off was that they charge $ 1.50 for every extra pita which is too much considering that all the Greek restaurant charge $ 1. Other greek restaurants though, also offer regular bread, toasted with oil olive and will bring you more for free. You can also ask for pita if you want. Something greek doesn’t give you regular bread, just one pita, which is not enough for appetizer let alone entrée, so you’re forced to ask for extra as there’s no regular bread. But what outraged me the most was they charged us for tzatziki(the small container of yogurt with garlic) which is part of the gyro platter. They gave us one each with appetizer which was meat balls and my gyro platter showed up with no pitta or tzatziki. Tzatziki is for free in every Greek restaurant I have been too. Honestly, when I come across petty owners like this, I don’t feel like giving them more business. It’s better to raise the price of a platter, then charge for tzatziki and put no bread on the table, other than the one free pita you’re allowed. I eat in Astoria all the time and I know the standard of Greek restaurant. It’s little things like this that some owners don’t get will make a difference on how busy they are. I guarantee you, most of Greeks have noticed the same thing I have. Me & my husband decided not to go back though we live in the area.

Meh. Could’ve been way better. Salad was swimming in tatziki sauce? Who does that? Chicken was good tho. On a whole it’s a lack luster brand of Greek food. But still edible lol. I might come back but not likely.

I have lived in the neighborhood for 2 years and every time I order or go dine in, I always am very pleased with their service and food! I love Greek food and this is the place I take my friends or familia to for lunch or a nice dinner out and enjoy the out door seating in the back. The Saganki and lemon potatoes are my favorites and a must try!

My girlfriend was having a taste for Greek food so we decided to try this place because our usual Greek resto in Bay Ridge closes on Sundays. We were a party of 4. Seated right away. The waitress was young, novice, and inexperienced. She told us that the special of the day was, Shrimp Santorini, but failed to tell us what it was. My mother and I decided to split a gyro plate of just meat and my girlfriend and my father both ordered a chicken gyro sandwich. The gyro plate was cold and came without pita bread. I had to flag down the flustered waitress to ask for pita bread. We also realized that they did not bring us any tzatziki sauce so we had to ask for that too. When the poor excuse for tzatziki arrived at the table, my mother and I were both amazed at how much they gave us. We were a party of 4, not an army of 400, no need to be this excessive. The sauce lacked all the flavors that separate a tzatziki from being just a yogurt dip. Barely any hints of garlic, salt, olive oil, or lemon. We also got an order of Greek fries with Feta cheese on top. The good thing about the fries is that they were not cheap with the cheese, but the fries were soggy. I did not get a chance to try the Chicken Gyro, but my father said that it was also cold, barely had any chicken and was packed with red onions. My girlfriend seemed to like it so she was the only bright spot for the evening. Overall, this place falls below my expectations. The décor was cute. I enjoyed the greek/mediterranean vibe. The mostly positive reviews allowed me to roll the dice and try this place. Maybe we caught them on an off night, maybe the moon and the stars didn’t properly align, but I cannot see myself return to this place any time in the near future. We will stick to our original spot which we have been frequenting for the last 15 years.

Ordered online for the first(and last) time, and was NOT impressed. Placed my order through Seamless and waited roughly 40 minutes for my food.(Seamless predicted delivery in 30 — 40 min). The delivery man buzzed to get into my building, I let him up and waited over 5 minutes for him to come to my door. Finally I received a phone call from the delivery man who proceeded to tell me he went back to his car after he claimed to have repeatedly knocked, and rang my doorbell. I told him I’m home, and asked that he come back to my apartment because I didn’t hear any knocking or bells. Buzzed him up again, and shortly after I heard him yell«Hellooooo?» FROMMYHALLWAY. I opened my door and he tried to tell me that my apartment number was wrong and pointed at the door he thought was mine. Funny thing is– that door isn’t even labeled with an apartment number. I then pointed to my apartment number and corrected him. He barely apologized and walked away. On another note, I ordered a chicken gyro with tomato/feta salad and it was was… meh. The chicken, although flavorful, was very greasy. Portions are much smaller than another Greek place in Bay Ridge that I regularly order from. It’s safe to say I’ll never order from Somethingreek again.

I ventured in on an otherwise cold winter night and happy to call this place homely. Greek cuisine is hard to come by despite there being a significant population of Greeks in Bay Ridge. This is among the few I would recommend for comfort food.(A rating between 4 – 4.5 is more accurate, in my opinion) 4.5÷5.0 It was empty at the time but once I put in my dinner order for the mixed grill platter, hordes of customers started flowing in. A decent sized seating area and warmly lit décor make for a good dining experience. The mixed grill came out timely and piping hot. Topped with gyro meat, it came with chicken souvlaki, sausage, pita, Greek salad, dolmades, and fries. For any normal person, it would be belly-busting, but in my case it was perfect for me. I finished it, but just barely. The chicken was a touch dry but it had a nice grilled char and quite flavorful. The price is fair for what you get and the lunch/dinner menu have everything I could hope for in Greek comfort food. Will definitely return to try some lunch options as well. 4.5÷5.0

Came here on a saturday afternoon for lunch. Wasn’t too busy. Décor looks pretty modern and new. Was offered warm pita bread and some yogurt dip to start. Had the meatball for appetizer and the gyro platter for entrée. The pita bread was good and soft. The meatballs were ok. A little small but taste a little more unique than your typical meatballs. The gyro platter looked good and tasted good. The salad that came with it was fresh. The meat was soft and not chewy. Better than other greek place i had. Service was pretty good and fast. Water was consistently refilled and our server made sure everything came out ok. This will be my go to greek place if i have a craving.

I’ve ordered here a handful of times and enjoyed it. Gyro pita sandwich is great, Greek style fries delish… Really love the soup. If you’re wanting a healthier option get the chicken gyro platter.

I only get one thing here and it’s their chicken gyro sandwich. The chicken is always juicy and never dry. The sandwich also has fries in them which makes it really filling. I highly recommend the gyro sandwiches here.

I had low expectations for this place. As I entered, there were only two parties dining. My expectations dropped lower after that. I walked in and was told to sit anywhere. I sat in the outdoor area, nice, comfortable and breezy compared to the feeling indoors. The service was very friendly and genuine but too slow. I was getting annoyed and tired waiting for my food and other condiments. I think this place can use a new look because the atmosphere is just off. Since I sat outdoors, I felt like I was just eating my takeout in my backyard. As I walked through the inside seating area, the air was stuffy and it felt like a cafeteria or pizza joint. It can be so much better. The food was above my expectations. I don’t eat Greek food often nor do I know much about authentic greek food so all I can say was that the food was great! Hummus and Pita Bread — the hummus was finely blended with the right about of herbs and the pita bread was warm and soft. I wished it was a little more crisp though. The greek salad was good but sorry I had better. My salad was missing onions, weird. I could’ve used a little more cheese. I added a protein for a surcharge but the protein portion was way too small! Pork Souvlaki was decent. It was more tender and juicy than expected. I could use some more sodium but i should not. The lemon potatoes were very ordinary. Nothing special. The rice pilaf was good. It wasn’t too dry or saucy, just nicely seasoned to complement the rest of the food. The drink selections were boring, I wanted a nice beverage to go with my meal. I was aiming for a beer but the selection they offered did not entice me so I didn’t even bother to figure out what they offer for house wines. I think a good drink would have been the icing to my meal. Overall, I really liked the food but that was it. I would see myself coming back to dine here again but I really wish they’d deliver to my house. Unfortunately I live too far from their delivery range.

Tried the place today and ordered for take out. I was very disappointed in the food. Their lunch special sounded like a great deal. $ 9.95 for any pita sandwich and your choice of fries, salad, or soup. Walked in and ordered and the food was ready in 5 min. That was the best part. Something Signature Sandwich: the description sounds delicious. The sandwich has sundried tomatoes, lettuce, chicken, feta, and tzazitki sauce. This sandwich was sad. Too much sauce that was straight up ranch. The pita was soggy and you couldn’t taste anything but the sauce. Sadly, I could not eat more than half of the sandwich. Fries: How can you mess up fries? I quickly opened the container to avoid a soggy mess. Yet, they were still soggy, but I can deal with that. However, they tasted stale and had no salt on them. That is an injustice to a french fry. The worst part was one of their cooks who stared at my friend and I while cutting the chicken and preparing the sandwich. He would directly face us and wink at us. I swear he licked his lips at one point too. Dude, get to work and have respect. Save yourself from being subjected to their douche of a worker and go somewhere else.

4 stars for the chicken souvlaki plate u just devoured. the chicken kabobs were so juicy and tasty. I’ve had a ton of kabobs in different places and many times they’re on the dry side or not seasoned very well. I think I finished the plate and only took breaks to get a few breaths in. I’ve had the gyros here before and I love how they put French fries in it. the pita is on point and the tzatziki sauce is crack.

Went here a week ago and rather enjoyed the place. Simple reasonable food and simple décor and attentive service The whole place is bright and refreshing. I imagine the garden is nice too for dining. I had the mixed grill and my friend raved about the spinach pie. The next time I have to try their potato dishes. The best thing I tasted were the potatoes I only smelled other diners having. I will return.

Came here for lunch with the boyfriend and we had a pleasant meal that did not break the bank. Boyfriend is a fan of Mediterranean food and will happily eat it once a week so this review is really on his behalf. He ordered the mixed grill(contained pork souvlaki, thin cuts of lamb, and sausage). His absolute favorite of the dish was the lamb — he could not stop raving about how the lamb was spiced and prepared in a way such that the strong lamb taste is barely noticeable. Kept repeating during how meal his approval of the grilled pork souvlaki and the lamb. The sausage, he said, was just okay. As for me, I ordered the pork souvlaki sandwich which included tomatoes, red onions, fries, and a light but flavorful yogurt(?) Sauce. Although I am not that crazy about Mediterranean, I do occasionally enjoy it and this place is def. better than the average street cart in New York. Their side salad that comes with the platters includes feta cheese and provides a nice balance. Prior to our main courses, we had hummus along with a generous amount of fluffy pita bread. We easily finished the pita bread and even scooped the last of the hummus into our takeout box. All in all a good meal for me, and a great meal for the carnivorous boyfriend

So disappointed. I’ve never ordered for delivery from here before, I’ve only eaten there. Never doing it again. I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita sandwich. It was the sorriest sandwich ever. There was ONE French fry and I really mean one. I opened up the sandwich and took a picture. It was a little bit of onions and the tomatoes were cut so huge that I had to take them out to get to my chicken. The flavor of the chicken was as good as ever but the meal itself was bad. Each person I ordered with was upset. Maybe the kitchen staff changed but either way, you could tell by our meals that no one cared how it came out.
