Small, divey-​looking place, but delicious large burgers and crispy fries. And super cheap!

So, I thought this place was fake because there is no tea and burger place here, only a Peggy’s Bruger. Apparently, the owners are in a verrry slow branding transition and thought it was a good idea to change the Unilocal name before changing the name of the exterior awning. Really poorly thought out. As I sit here, I am waiting for my burger. There is still no tea on the menu (other than Snapple) and there are lots of options for Fried rice. It is sort of a Chinese place that served burgers. Not a clear focus. My onion rings are far too doughy, I can’t really taste the onion. The burger itself is average. The meat is grey. There was no option to cook it to a desired temperature. The taste is fine, but lacks enough seasoning, the bread is spongy, the lettuce is not crispy. It’s not an awful buger, really. But very disappointing for a place that specializes in bugers. One pro is that the price is very reasonable.

It is absolutely the best! They have such a variety now, now that they changed it up a bit. They have the most amazing burgers and wraps. This place is my often go to place tbh it really fills you up and it’s not pricey!
Definitely should try this place!

It wasn’t that good. I found it on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a shot.
I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my girlfriend had onion rings, the onion rings were decent, the cheeseburger was cold on the inside and the fries were fine.
Overall i wouldn’t go back, the place was empty and the seats super cold.

I used to live in the area and this is one of the places I miss most.
I’ve been here twice recently as dating a new girl has taken me to this area again. Peggys (or now known as Tea & Burger) is phenomenal. Their burgers are probably the best you can find for a fast food joint (even better than shake shack), and their fries are great too (shake shack has the upper hand with this though as well as their cheese).
The employees are nice and always smiling. I remember when I worked nearby I used to order constantly. I didn’t make an order for maybe 1 or 2 months at one point and when I ordered again they remembered me and a specific request for my order (no bun/​low carb diet). Just certain small things that make this place stand out.
The prices are great especially for the value, and the amount of FREE toppings makes this place a huge favorite of mine. I don’t write reviews often but this place deserves the credit.

Horrible. For a place that has burger in the name you would think they would have at least a decent burger. Tasted like the cheapest meat in the world n cud barely eat it and I love all burgers… Really terrible

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try after seeing all the good reviews. Place is like a typical fast food joint, nothing too fancy.
Ordered 2 bacon cheeseburger, one with sweet potatoes fries and another with onion rings. The burger patties they claim to be never frozen. It does taste a little better than a typical fast food place but of course nowhere near the quality of shake shack. The sweet potatoes fries and onion rings were pretty good and better than average.
Prices are cheap. Service was fast. Will be back

Realized that i should give this place a review. i am a frequent customer that i come here 2 or 3 times a month. And i always get one of the burgers with sweet potato fries.
Everything about this place is just perfect. With pretty cheap price, you get quite decent food. They recently had renovation done and it looks a lot cleaner.

This is a great place if you are craving burgers. It’s family-​run and the family is amazingly friendly and wonderful. I’ve only had the burgers and fries and onions rings and that sort of things here. Even though I want to try their sandwhiches and wraps, their burgers are just too enticing. The toppings are free so put as much or as little as you want! It’s all really fresh and the burgers are juicy. The employees do try to make your order correctly and are really patient which is always pleasant when you’re having trouble deciding what you want. Make you’re burger a deluxe to complete your meal if you want, either way, you will be quite full and satisfied.

When I look at their food, I think of certain fast-​food chains such as Five guys. The food is practically the same along with similar prices. I must admit, however, that this place is better. After looking at their menu, I chose the first thing on it; the old fashioned cheeseburger. Their cheeseburgers go for around the $ 6-​$ 7 range. One thing that I really like about this place is the free toppings that they provide you with such as tomatoes, lettuce, onion, etc. The food turned out to be fresh when I got it and made my mouth watery as you observe the melted cheese inside. They also have a soda machine so you are welcome to get refills. I also tried their curly fries which in my opinion can be improved. They are greasy and really salty which in my opinion doesn’t taste good. The place overall is pretty nice. It’s clean and not to loud with descent employees.

Walked in and it smelled so bad my wife walked out. Smelled like mold and mildew and rotten meat. No thanks I’ll pass.

Remember when we were young, there was always one thing we thought was the coolest ever. and then when you get older, you think back «what was I doing?..»
Well thats Peggys for me. I remember during my baby years (high school era), I thought Peggys was mouth-​watering! But now as I am older and explored my options of burgers, Peggys is an ordinary burger just tagged with a great price. The burger itself is good, but the cheese is evidence of a mediocre burger. As I continued to take more bites of the burger, the cheap american cheese taste wouldn’t leave my mouth. Fries will always be good, greasy and crispy!
Though the burger isnt as glorious as I remember back then, thats not the reason why I took off a star. Usually its the owner, a young middle aged mom that is in the front. But i was greeted by a young teenage girl. Not the best service, I request a switch in fries but she denied it. However the mom gladly approved my request afterwards
Also if you guys havent tried the philly cheese steak yet, highly recommend it!

This restaurant might look beat down and dirty but the burgers are delicious!!!
Bacon cheeseburger combo and fried chicken sandwich combo were both under $ 7.00. It included fries or onion rings and a can of soda. Toppings such as grilled onion/​mushroom, bell peppers, any sauces are for free on top of your burger.
The beef itself was very juicy. The meat definitely tasted non-​frozen. The chicken tenders were moist as well. I am a fan! This was a hearty meal and I will be back!

Great food, ordered deliivery on a snow day, took a bit of time, but weather condition was bad, totally understandable, the lady called back n make sure i get my order after a while and did apologize for the delay!

If not for Unilocal,there’s no way I would’ve came here. The location feels shady and the storefront is not exactly welcoming. Once you step in, the burger smell just hits you in the face. Then you look at the menu and realize, holy crap, it’s cheap!
We ordered cheeseburgers with sweet potato and curly fries. The beef is advertised as never frozen, but there’s really no way to verify this. Once we ate the burgers, we realized the beef is nothing special and tastes like a typical fast food patty. What’s nice about the burgers is that the toppings are all free, no questions asked and nothing refused. The fries are delicious and hot.
Oh, and the meals come with a drink. So to recap: burger with unlimited toppings, fries, and soda, all for less than 8 bucks. Go and get some!

Shockingly amazing. We read reviews and decided we had to try it. When we made there finally. Ignore décor. The food is amazing. I got the bacon cheese burger and my gf got the crispy chicken burger. AMAZING. The juices from my burger was dripping down. The curly fries were great. Onion rings EVEN better. You must go and try. My gf said the crispy chicken was crispy and fantastic. Both our meals ended up to be $ 15. Perfect price for great food. Must go. Must go.

Oh man… I live about a 10 – 15 min walk from this place and I never knew about it until now. Called in for delivery today and it was fabulous! Although my food did not come until 40 min later, this place still deserves 5 stars for having such amazing prices on a good quality burger.
Love the free toppings and the curly fries are not greasy at all. Will definitely order other things next time!

I wrote my first review four years ago, and I had to remark that their burgers are still consistently good, consistently cheap, and service is still consistently above par.
I dont drop too many 5s, and was debating giving it a 4. But:
— LOCATION. When cravings hit past a certain hour, my only options are wendys, mcdonalds, the 2 diners (too expensive), or pizzerias (cheap but worthless). Peggys closes at 10, but have taken my order past closing a few times. They are a 10 minute drive from my house.
— VALUE: its still around $ 8 for a burger with any choice of fries. The flavor/​dollar ratio is unmatched. Tastes better than the $ 14 dollar burger and WAY better than a $ 4 pizzeria burger. Free toppings.
— FLAVOR: burgers are still smash-​style, still juicy (not greasy), still doest taste too meaty, freakishly just right.
— SERVICE: always always always very sweet.
— CONSISTENCY: its been four years. I never stopped going back. All the above are still true, every time i order from there.

Nice burger joint around the hood, ridiculously affordable.
The lady at the register was sweet like pie.
I got a turkey burger and was offered a big variety of toppings, which I took advantage of because it’s so worthwhile.
The onion rings were on point.
Turkey burga was delish.
If you don’t want to sit in the place, there’s a park not too far away with benches and tables.
