this place definitely grows on you. has quickly become my favorite sushi joint. fresh fresh fresh sushi each and every time and you cannot beat the prices; $ 1 sashimi, whattt!!? each time I try a new sushi joint, I keep thinking about how I would rather go to tenda protip: just stick to the sushi/sashimi and the regular rolls… the special chef rolls are too fancy/unnecessary(priced as well). you’ll be full and satisfied!

This is a very good place. Very delicious food. The rolls are really very very good. Staff is good and very fast. Never wait for a long time. Never think to go to eat sushi to another place. Thank you!

I always enjoy the food here! The service is great in the sense that the waiters are always polite and attentive and seem happy to serve. The problem is they are under staffed. Our waiter was running all over the place was hard to get to his attention but that’s not his fault. He was serving many tables and it looked like only 1 other waiter on the floor and 2 ppl by the register. Aside from that, still an enjoyable experience.

I finely found a quality asian fusion place in sheepshead bay — yeyyy! Everything i tried was well made and tasted really great! I had the spicy tuna salad with wasabi dressing, sashimi, rolls, nagimaki, dumplings and another tuna special — all really great! And of course, I had to try the fried ice cream — probably the best I tried –it had puffy, yet crispy lightly fried dough and creamy vanilla ice cream inside. The service was very attentive and the staff was knowledgable. Will be coming back. Often.

I’ve never dined-in, but this is my number 1 take-out spot ever. I order from them too often haha, every sushi roll I have tried has been delicious and FRESH! So has everything else I’ve tried. The Malaysian fried rice is out of this world… If you’re not into spicy, the Japanese fried rice is the mild version, both delicious. Pricing is inexpensive especially compared to a lot of sushi joints, and you definitely get your money’s worth!

In comparison to similar«class» sushi joints, this is the best that i have gone to. It’s hard to find a place where the rolls are fresh, flavorful, have their distinct taste, and are not loaded with rice or overloaded with sauces– all for a decent price. We liked their special rolls which were different and delicious. The black angel and Chilean sea bass rolls really stood out. Valentine roll was good for Tuna lovers. We also tried their tako su– and that was surprisingly quite good. The menu is large and they have a good variety of sushi and cooked items as well as items from the kitchen, including appetizers and hot dishes. Also they have beer and wine(and not just one type of each). The staff is friendly and service was good. The atmosphere is casual.

I would rate it three and a half stars. Good sushi at a very fair price. The cuts of fish were reasonable. We ordered a boat of sushi which came out to about $ 25/person. They have a wide selection of rolls as well as appetizers. The service was mediocre. Our waitress didn’t check up on us, and they forgot to bring us a couple of appetizers. The restrooms were quite clean.

I’ve been to a gazillion sushi restaurants in Brooklyn and Manhattan and have to say this is my wife and I favorite We have been loyal customers since they opened actually. I love to eat everyday(and when I do I say hey hey) and I must say their whole menu is delicious! I literally had everything, I mean everything. From the duck to the moonlight roll… all good Appetizers amazing and desserts uncanny They have a lot of items most don’t have in addition to the usuals of a sushi place. Customer service is exceptional as well!

The sushi here is amazing. I order and dine in from here whenever I visit my friend in sheepshead bay. The best part is that you pay so little for food great quality sushi. My favorite rolls are the spicy tuna and the shrimp tempura. They also have really tasty rock shrimp and miso soup.

To be honest I probably eat here at least once a week because it’s seriously great. First off you need to get the volcano salad it is so flavorful and perfect and it even looks appealing The rolls are always so fresh and the service is amazing. They are also open pretty late compared to some other places in the area so I recommend stopping by.

A trip to Sheepshead normally doesn’t happen, but when it does, it’s usually for Tenda. This restaurant was strongly recommended to us by friends, who like myself, are sushi/sashimi fanatics, especially affordable, fresh ones, and that is why we frequent Tenda. They sell sashimi by the piece for as low as $ 1 each and rolls for as low as $ 2.50. Sake is buy one get one free and special rolls are buy 2 get one free I believe. These offers make me wonder how this business makes money! It sounds too good to be true, but this is in fact, a real business and most likely, a profitable one(it’s almost always packed). The food is great, quality is on point, service is satisfactory and prices are unbelievably low for Japanese food. Not to mention, they also serve Malaysian, Chinese and Thai food, so if you haven’t acquired the taste for Japanese(which is silly!), note that you do have other options. I would recommend trying the volcano salad, salmon tartar and ordering a bunch of sashimi and rolls(including the special ones). The one item I am not crazy about, frankly, is their uni. I’ve ordered it multiple times and it has never tasted right to me. Besides that, all else is mucho bueno and never disappoints. Go Tenda!

I’m not given to superlatives but I have to say it was an experience beyond my expectation. The ambient surrounding was so comfortable, and the dishes excited my culinary anticipation. Very reasonable pricing and the variety is compelling. This is a no-brainer for the best of Asian food, not only for Brooklyn, but the 5 boroughs.

I haven’t been here in a while so I randomly stopped by here with a friend. Our waitress was super friendly and always had a smile on her face. They had a special; buy 2 special rolls, get 1 free and we couldn’t pass that up. We ordered the Black Angel roll, Bagel Roll, and Crazy Tuna roll. Both the Bagel and Black Angel Roll were yummy. Crazy tuna roll was not good at all. Overall it was a good time. Next time I come here, I will definitely try their noodles and hot meals.

Rock shrimp 4 Wasabi crackers 4 Black angel roll 5 Bagel roll 5 Crazy tuna roll 2 Service was a little slow, took a long time for the sushi rolls to come out but the staff were very friendly so I can’t be mad. Food came with a little light up cube that was fun to play with! Their plating skills are excellent. I would be back to try more things here. Also the special rolls are buy 2 get 1 free, can’t beat that deal anywhere!

This is my all time favorite place in Sheepshead bay. The fish is always fresh, the appetizers are absolutely delicious and the staff is super friendly. They often decorate your plate with cute little animals that they draw with the sauce and it makes your experience that much more pleasant! Highly recommend trying Tenda at least once, it’s definitely worth it. If you’re an avocado lover, definitely try the volcano salad, you won’t be disappointed!

Love this place. Can’t go wrong with buy one get one large sake, 50% sushi, buy 2 get 1 free special rolls. So glad I found a great affordable sushi place since Sushi Village blew up. So sad to say. Service here is great. Sushi is delicious. I’ll keep coming back as long as I’m in the neighborhood. P. S. I live in Queens, we don’t have delicious affordable sushi joints.

God, I love this place. They have very extensive and creative sushi offerings– perusing their huge menu from cover to cover is always a treat because I always find new things to try. Their fish is fresh and service is attentive. I’m surprised that this place is not as packed as I expect it to be since it’s one of the best Asian Fusion places around Sheepshead. Prices are not bad either; when E and I drop in each month, we usually end up spending about $ 35 for two people and we come out feeling stuffed.

Located right next to the gym, this may seem like an ordinary sushi place among the sea of sushi restaurants that have flooded the area. However, I will say that this restaurant is a notch above the others. Not only is there sushi, but there is also Thai and Malaysian dishes as well. They also have bubble tea and Thai iced tea! Regrettably, I have only visited here twice. Based on Unilocal reviews, I knew I had to get the Volcano Salad($ 9). It was remarkably good. Generous slices of avocado are placed on top of a heaping helping of imitation crab meat, tempura flakes, shrimp, and seaweed salad. I will say that if you love spicy mayo, the salad is perfect for you because it is drenched in it. However, I did find it a bit overwhelming so the second time around, i asked for no spicy mayo. I actually don’t feel like it needed the spicy mayo component. You already get the richness from the avocado slices on top. Still delicious and easier on your waistline, it is a no brainer to me. My friend got three sushi rolls, and they were such generous portions. She could eat three rolls at other sushi restaurants and finish a dessert, but not here. She barely was able to finish her meal. I didn’t try her sushi, but they sure looked good. She loved it also, and I take her word for it. Definitely give this restaurant a try! There are a lot of sushi options, but this is definitely one of the best!

Cheap food, good quality, fast delivery, courteous people. Great qualities that make up a good take-out restaurant. The reason I was drawn to this place is the cheap sushi. $ 1 a piece, that’s a rare sight. Also, the volcano salad — please try it! Although, pricey, It’s amazing! I can’t get enough of it! As the name says, Tenda serves all types of Asian food — from sushi, to pad thai, to hibachi, to sesame chicken. I haven’t gotten the chance to try all their foods yet but they seem to know what they’re doing. I would love to try other types of food since the other Unilocalers all recommend it.

Second favorite Sushi spot on sheepshead bay rd. There snow crab roll that is part of their regular rolls is definitely a must have. Menu has an amazing variety and is very well priced. Comes with a bonus structure and coupons on their deliveries.
