Threading Place

This place is perfectly fine! Don’t expect anything fancy or over the top, but it’s inexpensive and they do a great job on eyebrows!

Love this place. I’ve been coming here for a year. I’ve been referred by a friend and I’ve referred a friend. I’ve done my eyebrows, upper lip, Brazilians and facials here.

I went here under pressure because the lady who really does my eyebrows, was MIA, and I needed my eyebrows done in a hurry. I read the reviews, and decided to risk it. Parking is extremely hard to find around here. But, otherwise I only had to wait 10 mins for my service since it was early in the morning, and only one employee. I am satisfied with my brows, but she could’ve done a lot better more on the top of my brows and making them look more like sisters. But, still as a first time getting threading done, it wasn’t painful, quick, and good enough.

Love their work, but I tried the tinting for the first time and it did not last past a couple of days. They retouched it and charged me $ 5! Why?!

These ladies worked magic. I have thin eyebrows, so every hair counts for me. The ladies threaded my eyebrows and gave a subtle but beautiful arch. They then «tinted» my eyebrows. I swear it was revolutionary for me. If you are in the area and need a quick touch up or magic to transform you eyebrow game, check them out. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 is cause the décor needs some updating.

I’ve been here multiple times and I love it! Super kind employees that work quickly and diligently. I trust all of them with my eyebrows and they always look great!

Only one person running the entire salon so there was a wait. I got a facial and thought she did an average job. She didn’t massage my skin much with the creams/​mask which is an important part of a facial. Overall not bad but I have been to better places.

I got my eyebrows done with Rash twice and both times she MURDERED them. It wasn’t like a simple shape mess up. It was a full on massacre and it took three months for my new eyebrow lady to fix them. Rash ended up taking a two cm chunk out of the front of my left eyebrow and my right eyebrow was visibly smaller than the left one. One eyebrow was rounded and the other had a weird angular arch. Like what? While I was waiting for my turn, another lady had the guts to ask for the other person working there to do her eyebrows because «that girl always messes them up». So it’s not just me.

Horrible service. I resolve to never go near it. Rude staff and only one person managing phone, billing and the actual threading

I had my first eyebrow threading done here yesterday. The beautician was FAST and did a great job. Would go again.

I went here for my first threading experience because one day I was weary of going to my midtown place for eyebrow wax. The young woman who helped me did a great job — the pain was minimal, not as bad as tweezing, for me – and you can’t beat the price of $ 7. She definitely tried to upsell me, but after a couple of firm «No thanks» she let it go.

I went there based on Unilocal reviews and was pleased with service. I have very thick brows and have only had them threaded once before and that other place hacked me– I had scars and bumps and irritation for days. Here, I asked a for a natural shape and the woman worked quickly and did a great job.

I would not go here for anything other than threading. Maybe it was dumb for me to have done so to begin with.
I came for an underarm wax because it was convenient location-​wise and felt super uncomfortable basically the entire time. She did it out in the public area, so I’m sitting with my pits out making painful grimaces while other clients are entering and waiting (awkward) so I had to ask to move to the private room after we had begun. She was not gentle, she left sticky wax all over, and she kept trying to sell me other services («Want bikini wax?» «No» «Come on, do it!» –LITERALLY).
They constantly try to push their other services on me and I dealt in the past because its cheap threading but I’m so tired of it I probably won’t be back, for threading and esp for waxing :-/

This place is great! The nice lady who threaded my eyebrows and upper lip was kind and efficient, and my eyebrow shape is lovely. Plus, she brushed and trimmed my eyebrows, an extra step that too many threading places don’t take. For a total of $ 13, I’m really pleased. They accept cash or cards; not sure if there is a minimum.
One reviewer complained that threading is painful (and it seemed to inform her low rating!?). Um, duh it’s painful: taut pieces of thread are ripping hair out of your face. However, my threader worked as quickly as possibly to minimize my pain, and she was still super accurate. I have always had much better results with threading than with waxing, because it does not, by itself, not cause any skin irritation. Just take deep breaths, and if your skin is sensitive, maybe don’t have lotion put on afterwards. It will all be over soon and you’ll look fab so it’s worth it.
This place is now my go-​to. Give it a try!

Very nice place to get eyebrows done. And they tend to leave them quite natural, fuller than if you get the usual waxing.
The waxing, on my second visit, was not as good, but still decent.

For the price, you can’t ask for anything more than the following:
— little wait time (I’ve never had to wait more than 5 mins)
— pleasant/​polite employee (Hello/​Goodbye/​Please/​Thank You, that’s all I need)
— threading satisfaction (they asked what/​how I wanted and I got that)
— speedy checkout (not much to say here, is what it is)
If you want more, then go somewhere else and pay 3x as much.

Hands down gets a 5. Before last year I had tried threading twice and believed it was pure torture and couldn’t understand why my friend swore by it. I’d preferred waxing because the pain is quick and over and done with it in seconds.
However, after a bad waxing experience at a threading place and a threading repair to the ridiculous waxing in Union Square I decided I was just going to look like Brooke Shields circa early 80s, Al B Sure circa late 80s, just kidding I don’t have a unibrow but I have very thick eyebrows. But I decided to give threading a try and stopped into this place since it was literally two blocks away from me. Loved it! It was not as painful as my previous experiences. She was gentle and quick.
I always go to the same lady there… oddly enough she’s always in there when I go for myself. Only once I took a friend and noticed she wasn’t. Plus I can’t beat the low price of 7 dollars for threading. That slays Manhattan prices.
I’m not a fan of the décor. However, I’m only there for close to 10 minutes per visit so meh. I’m on my 4^th visit there after 7 you get your 8^th visit for free. :-)

I have tried threading a couple times and have loved it. I feel like it hurts less than waxing (doesn’t rip off layers of forehead skin) and is the most environmentally-​friendly way to remove hair, using physics and a thread.
I google mapped the closest threading spot to my house. To my delight, 4 blocks away. I called to see what the price was for eyebrows, 8 dollars! [Manhattan spots charge like 25, jerks].
They close at 8pm. I got there at 7:30. It’s cute and pink and neat looking inside. I told the girl working there [Rushmi], I was there to get my brows done. She was just finishing up with a client, who looked pleased.
I had a foto on my phone just in case I needed to give some direction as to shape and whatnot. Rushmi sat me in the chair and started zipping the hair off my brows. Total expert. She said it may be hurting more than normal because i hadn’t had them done in a while. I didn’t feel that it hurt more than normal. I didn’t need to show her the foto at all, either. She pulled out the scissors too to trim the tops. They looked great. It took 2 minutes and I was out of there. She was hella fast, but the brows came out great. So, what the heck!
They also offer a discount card. You get your 8^th service free.

Yes, this isn’t the best eyebrow threading salon on Earth. The décor is on the bleh side.
But HEY! At $ 6 for eyebrow, this place is pretty good for the price. Gets the job done.
The lady who attended me was very friendly.
Don’t forget to get a card at the counter and ask your person to sign it. You get the 9^th threading for free.
