Decided to try this place bc my fiancé and i love going to the Burek place in the Bronx. To drive to the Bronx from Brooklyn for Burek is just a little crazy. The Burek is huge and a great price. If iTs open go for it. Staff is very friendly, she gave me her number to call ahead so I wouldn’t have to wait 20 min next time. They bake it when you order it. Had both meat and cheese.

At an intersection of neighborhoods, I saw a big«burek» sign. Now that’s a surprise. Burek is a specialty of parts of Europe that used to be under the Ottoman empire. There was no way I could pass without trying it out. The burek was a rolled-into-a-spiral version, and filled with feta. It’s a different type than in Djerdan or other burek places around. They also had salads, balkan stews/soups, and some Italian dishes. The turkish coffee was excellent, the place was quiet and serene — an excellent coffee shop to work from. I should return to try other foods.
