Ugh. Hot coffee tasted weak and kind of low quality. Definitely nowhere near the quality of their price tag and décor suggest.
Décor is very nice, which is why I upped the review to 2 stars.
Maybe their cold brew or espresso is godly, but I’d avoid their hot coffee and grab something more low brow at a cheaper price.

Love this place! No longer do you have to leave Borough Park to have a decent cup of coffee. The décor, the vibe, the staff, are all on point. I have had coffee here with my spouse, business associates, and friends. 1982 isn’t just a place to get great coffee, it’s an experience, an oasis, a place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of BP.

This place is pretty new and one would be surprised at how well they’re doing from the get-​go. It becomes immediately clear why it’s such a success already when one hears the proprietor, Joel, speak so passionately and eruditely about coffee and its mystical powers to enliven the palate and mood. The list of coffees alone is impressive, varied and provocative, allowing coffee-​lovers a panoply of flavor-​notes in each individually prepared cup to blossom anew from coffees from around the world. The staff of baristas are overly courteous and helpful in a market that has hitherto fore no experience with this type of coffee shop.
I’ve been coming here since it opened up and I can say that not only am I impressed by the quality and diligence of the product and its preparation, but it is an inviting café in which to sit, sip, chat with friends, work, discuss coffee and food with the attentive proprietor – who is most solicitous of the comfort and good experience of the patrons – and just escape the bustle of the street with fine refreshment and music.
