Underground Thrift Store

Absolute waste of time. It’s basically a balcony of crappy, ugly, kid clothes. Everything in the «store» could fit in the bag they give you. And it still wouldn’t be worth $ 25.

Came here with my little sister and bf on a Sunday morning. It’s in the nice quaint neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights.
This was a semi-​annual sale that they only do twice a year where you can stuff a bag they give you and pay only $ 25 for the whole things (not including accesories or belts, but shoes are OK). The space is very small and contrary to belief, NOT underground. It’s actually upstairs, part of a church, where you can see the basketball court. They had a fair selection of clothing, mostly for women naturally with a small section in the back corner for men. There was a lot of Michael Kors tops but mostly typical brand name clothing from The Gap, Banana Republic, Express, etc. Everything was neatly organized on a rack or in a bucket or neatly lined on the floor (shoes). They even had a small section for kids and toddlers! It’s a really cute space with decent clothing that’s easy to look through. They have a separate section for skirts and dresses. I ended up making out with a never worn before H&M dress from the Conscious Collection, a white MK skirt that my other sister stole from me, a silk black top, a pink MK tank top with metal chains adorning the chest, a black silk skirt from Banana Republic, and several other well-​fitting tops.
A nice place to thrift if you’re ever in the area. Lots of small, nice restaurants nearby and a short walk away from the lovely Brooklyn Promenade with sweeping views of the Lower Manhattan skyline and the 2 bridges.

I went here today with my hardcore thrift buddy, my sister! They had this event where you stuff a sack for $ 25, and everything you can cram in there is yours! I’ve done events like this before for Housing Works, so I was ready for a workout.
But when I got there, it turned out the store was small, quiet and cute with really nice workers. The clothes was put up in a way that you can scan all the clothes really quickly for 5 minutes. I ended up with 31 pieces for $ 25, which is awesomee! They had a lot of H&M and Michael Kors when I went. My favorite piece was a Tahari blazer, just my size, for under a buck!
(psssst this is perf for littler people like me AND normal sized people alike! they had a nice range of clothes, enough to satisfy my petite XS self and my L sis!)

The staff really keeps the inventory selective, and it is not an overwhelming shopping experience. Definitely worth the stop. Nice dressing room with full length mirror.

Like new Helmut Lang jeans for $ 20.00, and I bought my son an Italian cashmere sweater for $ 15.00! Those are bargains, buster!
Lots of other fashionable stuff — you just have to hunt for your size.
